My wife and I finally tried this place & the food was amazing! The trio appetizers was amazing. Salmon was some of the best and Lamb moosaka delicious. No complaints.

Visiting from California with my hubby, my young professional son and my college student niece. We are definitely making this restaurant a must comeback for brunch. I ordered the smoked salmon with poached egg and salad. Delicious! Fresh squeezed orange juice… sweet! We also had their French toast with fresh berries and a fresh brew coffee to complement the dish. The service was great, servers were professional and overall friendly. Ambience is for young adults and adults.

Such a cute little place. So tiny(only around 10 tables but had a lovely atmosphere and the food was incredible. Would be lovely to eat outside in the summer. For desert we had the baklava and it’s the best I’ve ever had! All courses were super fresh and lovingly prepared. Seriously impressed and will be bringing friends and family back again & again! The waiter was so sweet & helpful too. Also note it is a BYO!

I don’t know why I chose this restaurant. Fine, the food was after-all good. But service here sucks! We had to go to the cashier to get our menu. We asked for water when we ordered food. The waiter never brought it. We had to ask for it again. After the meal I asked for the check, he never brought it, I assume he totally forgot. I had to ask for it AGAIN! What an experience?!

Just ate brunch here for the first time last weekend and it was YUMMI! I had the poached eggs with the thin cured beef & my BF had the salmon eggs with a hash brown base. The décor is cute and cozy and the service was excellent. They even went out to get me half & half for my coffee when I asked for it & they had run out. Two thumbs up! I’m psyched they opened up

My wife and I visited Dolma for our anniversary dinner. It was our first visit here and we were not disappointed. We ordered generously. We got the spreads(hummus, Baba ganoush, the lamb, and the beef burger). I was enjoying myself so much and was full by the time the burger arrived so I took it home. It was really delicious, as was the lamb. The manager(possibly owner) was very friendly and provided good service. I am really glad we have a great Mediterranean place like Dolma in the Grove Street area!

Best brunch I’ve had in Jersey City. Fresh ingredients, a clean and healthy meal. Lamb meatballs/poached eggs/salmon…all made to perfection. I highly recommend!

WOW. I can’t believe the beautiful food coming out of this tiny kitchen. This restaurant raises the bar for brunch in Jersey City. The food is just wonderful and makes up for any occasional minor service problems. Everyone is very friendly, and always polite and accommodating. BYOB and make a reservation, because the space is tiny and sure to be regularly packed once the word really gets out.

Tiny but charming little bistro across the street from Taqueria. Seats about 23, very tight but definitely worth it — it’s not cheap, but it’s BYO so that makes up for the price. Octopus appetizer melted in your mouth, and the accompanying picked veggies made it a good dish. The 3 dip is also quite good — bread is perfectly crunchy and the dips are really deliciously tasty. Main courses grilled Lamb Chops were also executed perfectly, and so is the Mussels and Cockles dish — there is rice and beans at the bottom of the bowl which made it a complete meal. Baklava dessert was excellent, and so is the Turkish style coffee. The server was both funny and charming. A winner!

I randomly stumbled upon dolma and took my friend there for her bday. The place is small and cozy. Great for dates and small groups. We ordered the Dip Trio. The dips were yummy. My friend ordered the vegetable dolma as entrée. It was good. I ordered the lamb mousakka… something that I usually would never order because I am not a huge lasagne fan but to my surprise, it was delicious! Looking forward to go back try other dishes!

We’ve tried trio sides as starter and lamb chops + half chicken as entrée for dinner and must say it’s one of the tastiest places in Jersey city. Their dishes it’s the perfect mix of Turkish tastes(light hint in selection of herbs and some ingredients) and french very beautiful way of serving(their chef is French). Sides they serving with meat are worth separate review. It’s type of many components cuisine with rich tastes contouring perfectly meat it goes with. Besides there is attentive and good attitude from owner and waiter. Be ready to wait a bit for your main course if it’s crowded as place is small, as well as kitchen staff.

Sometimes you discover a restaurant so charming and delicious you want to keep it a secret that you always know you can get a table at, dolma is one of those places. As you enter the restaurant, the intimate setting and amazing aromas are your first indicator that you have discovered something special. Each dish that came out of the kitchen was layered with fresh ingredients and flavor. The octopus starter was the very best I’ve ever had, and the ½ chicken with roasted crispy skin felt home cooked and savory. Then, when desert arrived(and BYOB) our wine ran out, our party could not decide what was their favorite part of the meal. we even sat down with the owner to create our own password so that we could always get a table for 4 when dolma is discovered by the press.

We had a delicious Mediterranean inspired brunch. We had grape leaves to start, and then the eggs benedict and Turkish poached eggs over smoked salmon. The poached eggs came with a type of sweet topping that balanced the flavors. Everything was fresh. Since we were the first ones there, we really had no issues with service or waiting for a table. The place is a little tight inside so once it becomes more popular, getting a table may be more difficult. There is space for outdoor seating and will be great for when it gets warmer.

Oh my gosh — I am the first non 5 star review and I hate to slam a place but I jus could not do the 5 stars and I so wanted to. What can I say. Cute place. BYOB. Food just fell short. Meatballs has no salt. Biggest issue was SO much was heated up. The meatballs were obviously microwaved. The mousaka had hot sauce but was cold in the middle, the crème brûlée I think had been brûléed earlier in the day. How easy to fix. Brûlée the crème brûlée just before serving. Make the mousaka in individual servings and bake just before serving But that is not the path they have chosen and so instead you question whether your entrée and dessert were made a couple of days ago and should you be concerned

Had a great time at Dolma. Outdoor seating was great and the food was delicious. Had the flank steak sandwich, butternut squash soup, salad, and crème brûlée — all great. Took out baby daughter out for the first time here. A wonderful extension of the gourmet deli we frequent daily, Two Aprons. So happy Dolma is open now! A perfect addition to a thriving Jersey City food scene.

…Incredible new Turkish/Middle Eastern influenced spot on grand avenue in jersey city. Food is incredible. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is great. The owner clearly takes pride in the establishment and the food that is prepared. Can’t recommend it enough. Added bonus: it is BYOB!

Great addition to the neighborhood ! It’s definitely a must try I have been back twice since I saw it opened. This Mediterranean restaurant is a cozy gem with beautiful ambience and phenomenal food. I had the lamb chops and they were to die for, full of flavor and paired with a medley of delicious sides. I also went back for brunch and the chicken sausage sandwich was delicious if you have a big appetite but the highlight of brunch was the French toast! OMG if you don’t make it for lunch or dinner make sure you get there for brunch! Once you try dolmas French toast you will never be able to go back to normal French toast. It’s just the right balance between wholesome & lite. It packs a punch with different flavors and its full of deliciousness yet not too sweet. You have to try it! Awesome new spot

We stopped by this new restaurant for lunch on Friday. It exceeded my expectation! The lunch box consists of a sandwich, soup of the day and a salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. I especially like the butternut squash soup. Also, the grilled vege sandwich has a fine balance of goat cheese and black olive dressing. The only downside is the price($ 14). We ordered the lamb mousakka($ 13) as recommended by the friendly staff and he was absolutely right. Keep up the good work! It really deserves 4.5 stars
