Let me start off by saying they do amazing threading on eyebrows and that’s the only reason why I’m giving two stars, but I am sad to say that recently their staff has changed and the new staff has absolutely horrible customer service. I went in today to prepare for my birthday tomorrow and I didn’t see the usual staff and I knew the problems would start from there. The new girl was extremely rude! She got mad at me when I told her that all I wanted was a clean up and then when everything was over she did not even offer aloe Vera gel which they always do. Once it was time to pay she snatched my money away from me and basically threw my change at me. I was still generous to give a tip(God knows why) and she said thank you in a very rude tone and rolled her eyes. I have loved this place for the last four years and would refuse to go anywhere else but I am sad to say that I now have to find a new place.

I came here to do my eyebrows, every time different girls working feels like this is not a salon but training institute. Un professional and untrained staff. when I threaded my eyebrows got two DIFFERENT eyebrows on my usage of sanitizer and very dirty place. Young girls are vvvvvvvv RUDE. I have done Brazilian and I stopped they did DOUBLEDIP and wax room was very unhygienic and dirty. didnot use gloves and mask. DISGUSTINGPLACE as per my experience NEVERGOHERE

I like City Brows, but a little uncomfortable with their chairs because your neck starts to hurt from the way it’s angled, and there is no headrest for it. The service is always good. Hate that males get charged a different rate from females, but that’s a lot of places so I guess you can’t do much about that. Rate is a little higher than my other spot, but I deal with it because my brows always come out good without fail whereas my other spot sometimes might be slightly off(That is my pet peeve). Their website is always under-construction and never gives you any info. It’s there just to be there to fill up space. I’ll edit my review once they fix that, but it’s been like that since they’ve first opened and I think they’ve been open for at least three years. Overall okay experience.

I went here to get my hands waxed. The service is good, the ladies working there are nice… But its not clean at all… the floor is dirty. there are threads all over the floor… and the rooms used for waxing seems like it gets cleaned once a month or something… Its not even like its cheap. they charge the same as the other ones… So I might have to look out for a different one…

My friend & I decided to give their Brazilian wax and eye brow threading a try. We were very satisfied with the Brazilian wax the lady thoroughly made sure there was no hair left and she even threaded my lower stomach to make sure it was clean to my liking. I know not alot of women get Brazilian but give it a try they’re pretty good. I asked the lady to also fix and align eyebrows pretty happy with how everything went. Still want to read reviews about their facials though. before I get it.

I came here to get my eyes threaded again and noticed that they also did waxing and facials. With some skepticism, I decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the waxing. I only waxed my legs and underarms. However, when it came to the facial I was dissatisfied. The environment wasn’t relaxing, it took a while for the«esthetician» to get the steamer going and when she finally did, the steamer was on my face for maybe five minutes. It wish she let the steam go on for a bit longer. Especially if you’re going to do extractions. While doing the extractions she wasn’t thorough. And during the facial massage, she applied too much pressure. Not worth it. I will go back to City Brows for eyebrow threading and waxing but will be looking elsewhere for a better facial.

I, like the reviewer below me, also apparently live in «the hood». Although I didn’t realize that until reading her review ;) I came here after reading her review and I’m glad I did, they do a good job and it’s as cheap as threading tends to be. 6.00 is quite cheap, though I’ve never paid more than 8.00. So threading is not something that tends to break the bank normally. If you can stand getting your brows done within sight of JSQ then come down and live dangerously!

Now, I live in the hood and normally, I get my treatments, shopping and most other errands done on the other side of town. While walking home from the gym, I saw City Brows newly opened location and pondered, do I dare let the hood threading salon touch my delicate brows? On yet another occasion, low on funds and desperate to treat my unruly caterpillars, I decided to take a chance on this salon. I walked in and discovered the lowest threading prices that I have ever encountered($ 6 for brows, $ 4 for lip) and a relatively clean establishment with actual smiling women working inside! A smile goes a long way for me these days. Anyhow– I gave them a chance at my brows and they were quick, gentle and so grateful for the tip I left. For me, that equals to will try again. I hope they live up to my expectations the next time or else I’ll be back at the cart inside the Hudson Mall. Apparently, they also do waxing, facials and hair but a little thread action is all this girl needs now and then.
