Whatever you do, don’t order the hot wings. The wings don’t even qualify as wings and were real tiny. Quite a rip off if you ask me. Trust me. Don’t order the hot wings! You’ll regret it!!!

It is exactly what it is supposed to be. Fried greasy food at fried greasy food prices. The location is takeout. If you don’t want Popeyes or KFC or Crown or Hollywood or Kennedy…

INCOMPETENT! AVOIDDELIVERY! Maybe someday I’ll give the food a try but not tonight. I’m eating cheerios thanks to some idiot. EDIT: They made good on the delivery. Nice guy. too bad about the quality of the oil they use to fry the chicken.

For chicken and ribs, this place gets a solid 5 — doesn’t get better than this. For the rest of their menu, though, a 3 – 4 depending on what you order. Great delivery, too.

Today is the first time I ordered from Chicken Delight. I ordered the fish and chips dinner. I asked what kind of fish it was and they told me it was whiting. When I got the fish, it was the frozen fish that comes from a box. As in whatever scraps they find, press together and call it fish. I really can’t believe they are selling that mess and calling it whiting at that. This place gets a thumbs down and major side eye from me.

Ordered delivery from here tonight. Chicken was ONPOINT. Delivery driver was super nice and helpful. Didn’t catch his name, but it was a real pleasure ordering from here. One of best places in JC to order takeout from

Chicken is very crunchy and savory. The home fries are very tasty as well. Small place but food is cooked quickly and is fairly priced.

I use grub hub to order from chicken delight as they don’t use debit or credit overcphone. I write«can’t hear buzzer call when hear». For 2nd time deliverer doesn’t follow directions and only hear him buzzing faintly while watching super bowl. Chicken good but since charge. $ 2 fee for delivery will likely not order from them again since don’t follow directions.

Ordered from CD at least 3 times and always prompt delivery. The shrimp and chicken always come out delicious. Corn nuggets are also good. Place loses stars because of its lackluster sides: bland mashed potatoes and gravy, very sour cole slaw, greasy not real onion rings. It’s a solid place to get chicken and shrimp but not much else.

Teetering between 3.5 and 4 stars, so I rounded up. A few more visits will help me firm up the rating. Had the $ 5 lunch special last week(takeout): 2 pieces of chicken(white or dark meat), fries, biscuit, and a soda. A pretty damn good deal. The chicken was still piping hot when I took it home, doused those bad boys with hot sauce, and went to town. It was a tasty and satisfying meal, and I wasn’t even drunk. Yes — I’d do it again.

This looks like hole in the wall place with brusk counter servers, but the chicken is delicious! When the chicken is right out of the fryer, steaming hot, OMG– it’s unbelievably finger licking good. So glad they deliver! They won’t go to the heights but they do go into Greenville.

The first time I got takeout from Chicken Delight it was revelatory. We got ribs and chicken and corn nuggets and everything was SO good. The chicken and ribs were moist and juicy and super flavorful! The two subsequent times were pretty good, but not as amazing as the first time since the ribs were drier than the first time. All in all though, this place has pretty awesome chicken and ribs. Get the corn nuggets too, they’re so yummy! The people there are really nice too. :)

This Chicken Delight location is alright. If you want the best Chicken D ever, go to the Cresskill location in Bergen County. At the JC location, our food is usually delivered slightly soggy and never crisp enough. Still tastes good though. Portions are kind of stingy(e.g. small order of fries at Cresskill has 2x more fries than small order of fries here). We always get chicken thighs, french fries, and corn nuggets. Coleslaw & mashed potato are wack — go to KFC for that shit. This is basically fast food chicken like KFC or Popeyes and, when made correctly, infinite times better.

Look, if you only have fiver in your pocket and fifteen minutes to break for lunch, a snack meal here will get the job done just fine. Chicken isn’t all that flavorful, but is definitely juicy. The skin is more rough than crispy, so be warned. Fries are bland. Service is super though.

The pro of this spot was that it was one of very few places open during the storm. The bad part was our order got messed up, causing some delays that we could’ve avoided. Fries were good, nothing special. Disappointed in the wings. Buffalo wings are not the same as chicken wings with some packs of hot sauce. Hot sauce wasn’t good if your into tasty, non watery hot sauces. Chicken was too greasy for my liking but its a fried chicken place after all. Probably wont come back unless there’s a storm again or something causing everything to be closed.

No! A bad Chicken Delight?! What?! Don’t get the chicken here, my goodness, whatever you do, don’t get the chicken here. Unless you enjoy that ghetto-fried-chicken-kind-of-chicken. You know, oversalted, reddish hue and tough skin that’s not quite crispy? If you like that, go for it. I was disappointed though. Their corn nuggets were amazing though! Crispy and perfect. The worker was also nice. I just take my chicken seriously and it was pretty unpalatable for me.

My husband and I first had chicken at this place a few months ago. A bit greasy, but more or less what anybody would expect. My complaint is with the service. I don’t eat Halal or Kosher meat for ethical reasons. My husband doesn’t eat it for ethical as well as religious reasons. Whenever we go out to eat, we almost always stick to vegetarian options. In our case, going to Chicken Delight was a BIG mistake. When we first entered the eatery, after some confusion, we asked to speak with the manager who assured us that the meat wasn’t Halal. We asked about his supplier and he assured us it was cruelty-free – or as cruelty free as any meat can be. On a hunch, I went into Chicken Delight again today, but without my husband. His religious attire and appearance is a clear give away that he does not eat Halal meat. I look like pretty much any Caucasian, American woman, though. When I went in today, I asked if they serve Halal meat. The woman I talked to told me right away, with confidence, that – yes – of course it’s Halal meat. I’m seriously bothered by the fact that they LIED to us about the kind of meat they serve. It’s completely UNETHICAL and INEXCUSABLE.

As a fat kid living in the Jersey City Montgomery Street Projects, this spot was the best spot to hit up for some deeeeeelish deep fried cheese-filled fried chikawn. Okay, I didn’t live in the projects but in grade school I did order buckets of better-than-KFC, golden-brown, juicy-on-the-inside-crunchy-on-the-outside fried chicken from Chicken Delight, weekly. There was cheese in the chicken… WTF, heaven! A fat kid and his bucket of fried chicken. Life was much simpler back then.
