I just popped in here to buy my own frames and mounts, but I have to say, this is was an incredibly pleasant frame shop. The people who work here are quite nice, helpful, and very professional. I ended up buying two pre-​made frames (glass included) and two mounts (from their scrap pile, then custom cut for me) for about $ 60 — definitely a reasonable price, and my two pieces look really sharp in them. (As someone who has worked with art: for the quality of work, this place is NOT expensive.) They often run sales on framed work and premade frames too.
Word of advice: know the measurements of your artwork/​photos/​posters/​etc. before you go into any frame shop! This may seem obvious, but the woman who helped me said that many people go in not knowing the dimensions of whatever they’re framing — this will definitely make things easier for everyone and save you a lot of pain.

We always take our art to Big Drum for framing. They are great in helping to present our options within certain pricing ranges. We usually go in not knowing what we want but come out feeling confident that we made the right choice.
It’s certainly not inexpensive but they will always try to work within your budget and also tell you about any coupons or new customer offers they may have available.
Definitely recommend this Jersey City shop!

I have gotten every single piece of art in my house framed at this place. If you go, be sure to work with Kim or the actual woman who does the framing. They are knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant! If you get on their email list, you will also be informed of sales that they offer. It is not inexpensive, but they do quality work that will make your art look like one of a kind treasures!

I’ve used this company for several pieces and have been totally satisfied with their work. The owner was very helpful finding the best frame and mat for my latest print and I love how it turned out. I highly recommend them and will be coming back soon.

The good:
1) The finished work looked really good.
2) Two women there were very professional, helpful, and friendly.
The bad:
1) The original person with whom we dealt, a young woman, was unfriendly, unpleasant, and incompetent. She seemed to get angry that we didn’t want some special glass… did not offer suggestions and, as my daughter said, had «a really strange affect» as soon as we walked in.
2) Pretty pricey

It could be a bit pricey, but not much more than other quality frame shops.

We had to get a very old print re-​framed and came to Big Drum. We were very pleased with their work and their prices. The owner even sent us a nice hand-​written note to make sure that we were happy with them. Great service. We will come back here if we ever need anything re-​framed.
