We had such high hopes for breakfast after seeing the menu on Unilocal.Packed up the family and headed over, arriving around 10:45. We sat ourselves and within a few minutes the hostess informed us that we had missed the 10:30 cutoff and now lunch was only available. We asked to please be served breakfast, and after some back and forth the manager agreed, warning us that it might take a bit longer. Which was fine. Almost ten minutes later the waiter arrives and tells us that they’re only serving lunch. Cue repeat of the previous conversation except that this time an argument ensues at the table because 1) most of us were hangry and 2) some were in a hurry to get on the road. Annoyed with each other we agree to just get lunch. Waiter comes back after fetching drinks and takes orders around the table, gets to me. When I order tuna melt he says«didn’t you want breakfast?» I say«yes» but that I was going to settle for lunch. Waiter says breakfast is okay it’ll just delay the entire order. Which causes a new argument at the table. It’s around 11am at this point. We all order lunch. Despite there only being only three other customers in the whole place, lunch ends up taking 45 minutes to arrive. Because«we’re just waiting on the chicken tenders» Food overall was mediocre at best. Tuna melt was soaked in indeterminate grease(rancid butter?) Hot dog was tiny.

Seriously I don’t know what people are talking about with the prices? They cant be beat, especially for all that food you get. I don’t know if it is because I’m from Chicago and used to high prices but you wont regret it. My husband and I enjoyed an omelette each with toast and hash browns and pancakes with coffee. And the view of the golf course is really pretty. I don’t even like golf but enjoyed the beautiful palm trees and greenery. Come to get filled up for a great price!

Food was hot. Chili was bland. Definitely not a place for children unless it’s okay to hear a bunch of drunk golfers use profanity. Not sure I would go back.

Surprisingly good sandwiches for a golf course fair. Sweet potato fries were perfect!

We came here for breakfast, because it was one of the only places to get a sit down breakfast on Jekyll. Overall a good experience. Very reasonable prices. So much that I was worried about the quality of the food and portion sizes. I got the build your own omelet, hash browns, which were just tator tots, and a biscuit. Mine was great, a huge omelet and cooked perfectly. My two daughters got pancakes and the french toast and both were overcooked. The pancakes so much, it was actually difficult to cut it! I didn’t mention it to the waitress because it was very slow service anyway and we waited a long time for our food. I gave it 4 stars because my meal was good and you can’t beat the prices.

WOW! Price was great and the food was delicious! We will definitely come back to McCormick’s Grill for breakfast any time we are in the area. There was only one downfall that Saturday morning. There was only one server and she was busy working the floor and bar. Bless her heart, she was busy and still was able to maintain a good attitude while serving hot and delicious food.

My friends and I came here one afternoon after an unfortunate revelation that the Driftwood Bistro at our hotel is inexplicably only open for dinner. We asked the receptionist what other options there were for food at this time of day, and she pointed us in McCormick’s direction. Located on the golf course grounds in the middle of the island, you’re going to want a car or one of the prevalent Jekyll Island rental bikes to get here. After stepping inside, we saw that it was very no frills — a low, tiled ceiling, carpeted floors, and old pictures from what I assume are this golf course’s past were pretty much the extent of the décor. The one closest to our table was a black and white picture from at the latest the first half of the 20th century, with a group of African American caddies, which seemed a little bit awkward. They and I were the extent of the racial diversity in McCormick’s as this was Old White Guy central, guys who still probably think that Dubya was the best president since Reagan. There were plenty of high-waisted khaki shorts, bland golf shirts and grey hair, and even a lady hooked up to an oxygen tank; it was an extreme example of Jekyll Island’s demographics. Having indulged on various adult beverages the night before, I was feeling like something a bit light, so I skipped their burger buffet and opted for their fish tacos, which come with grilled, not battered and fried, fish, as well as sweet tea to drink(pronounced«swate» in southern). It appeared that we came at peak lunch hours as the packed restaurant seemed to delay our orders, but our friendly waitress checked in on us plenty and let us know that she was leaning on the kitchen staff to get our food to us. Eventually our food came out, and we dug right in. I wasn’t particularly impressed with my tacos, but they weren’t awful either. They were generously filled with hunks of tilapia, but the standard flour tortillas and cabbage weren’t exactly on the cutting edge of the culinary field. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised that there weren’t fish tacos of the highest caliber here, given my surroundings. Maybe I should have gotten the burger buffet, but at least I had some entertaining people watching for lunch.

With the exception of great burger, this was an underwhelming experience, especially for where it is. Service was slow and didn’t seem to want to help. Most food came out wrong.

Name changed to McCormicks, located in the Golf Club House. We went for breakfast and found it inviting and casual. Service was quick and menu selection was just right. Down home meal and priced just right. Not many selections for breakfast on the island, glad we found it.

Low quality food and small portions, but on a Sunday morning it is your only option. Waitstaff was friendly.

Jekyll Island is a small island with very few options for food. First time for breakfast last weekend and the food was fair. What was remarkable is one waitress broke the sound barrier to wait on the 6 tables. She did wonderful!

We went there for a quick breakfast. It was completely empty while the outside was teaming with golfers. The staff was friendly which was good, but the food was average at best. There are few options on Jekyll and so it is better than nothing; however, I would go elsewhere if I had a better local choice. We will try the other option on Jekyll shortly.

this place is the dining establishment of the local golf course, and i didn’t get a business card but jekyll is small, so you won’t have any trouble finding it. we heard they had the«best breakfast on jekyll» from our hotel, so after cruising the island sunday morning, we were super stoked to head over and get a hearty meal. we were sorely disappointed in the breakfast menu which was suberbly average. eggs, grits, toast, plain french toast and pancakes, bacon. all served on paper plates with plastic silverware. of note, their cups(all disposable) were made from a corn product. we were so famished, we decided to stay and tear into some french toast, which was surprisingly good. their coffee was also rich and strong. the only reason this place gets 5 stars is the service. we walked in at 10:35 and they stop serving breakfast at 10:30. i guess we looked completely distraught, so the server went back to the kitchen and returned to tell us that they could do «one more breakfast, just for us», which elated all of us. kuddos to the hardworking, often underappreciated food service industry. we left with our bellies full and big tip for our server. next time, we’ll get there a little earlier… sorry morgans staff for coming in so late.
