We enjoyed our stay here. We’ve previously stayed at a rental house, beach view club and another hotel that has since closed and became holiday inn. We would definitely stay here again. This hotel was very clean, good location near the new shopping village and beach and bike path, two pools, beach access, free breakfast. The rooms are a little outdated but you get what you pay for and its better than some other hotels or rentals on the island. When we arrived we had booked an island side room and got a room with a double bed. We really wanted a king. We upgraded to oceanside and it was WELL worth the extra $ 20 per night. We had a view of the ocean and pools and chairs outside our room. The king room had 3 chairs, a desk. It was so much more comfortable. We both remarked it was like staying in a totally different hotel. We would definitely stay here again — oceanside. Good value — especially if you spend most of your time outside. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The only reason they get 2 stars is the location and friendly front desk staff. First the location: great access to the beach great view. The ugly: horrible condition, this is more like a motel, falling apart and dirty. The rooms smell like mold, the furnishing is beyond old, the bedding is lumpy and should be burned not even cleaned. The housekeepers basically just vacuum and make the bed. We had spilled coffee on counters that never got wiped down, trash was not taken unless it was in the trash can. The AC never worked we asked twice to fix it. Overall you could not pay me to ever stay there again.

Great staff, especially the management. Travis helped us with our bags. Two pools, bike and paddle board rentals. I would come back just for the great breakfast.

This hotel merely served it’s purpose and kept a roof over our heads for our one night on Jekyll. As my husband mentioned he booked through and unbeknownst to him we ended up with a room with two full size beds. I asked if we could be switched but the front desk said they had nothing available. I find this hard to believe, but we made due. The beds were comfortable but I barely slept. The one window in the room faces the veranda where everyone walks by, and the parking lot. So you hear people out there. Although the window is equipped with a heavy light-darkening curtain, it still didn’t cover all the corners of the window and the bright light outside messed with my head because each time I opened my eyes I thought it was morning. Nope, just the bright fluorescent beacon outside our room. The hotel is right on the beach which makes for easy access to enjoy the water and sand. The hotel itself has two pools, but what they should have done was make one child friendly and one adults only. Lets face it we all know what kids do in the pool… am I right??? Sadly, both pools were chock full-O-children so we dipped in the hot tub until the little ones invaded our space there as well. Not to mention many of the parents didn’t pick up after their children so even the next morning there were all sorts of pool toys and junk everywhere. Breakfast was full of unhealthy, sugar-loaded options. Which went perfectly with all the children making a mess. I settled on plain oatmeal with cinnamon and bananas and an orange. Was I hungry about an hour later? Yes.

through , we booked a night here for a beach excursion. i know since i booked through a separate website, the hotel is free from all complaints, but we wound up with 2 full size beds, which is unacceptable to me and my wife considering we haven’t seen each other in 4 weeks. alas, they hotel couldn’t help us out, so we just moved the beds together. the hotel is right on the beach… or a short walk over the dunes to the beaches. they have 2 pools, with a hot tub. it is overcrowded with kids. fine for families, but for 2 non-kid folks, it’s annoying to be bombarded with kids every time you want to just relax for a minute. the rooms were standard, comfortable. the walls are nice and soundproof, but the exterior walls… you can hear everyone walk and talk by your front door. there were some junky aspects… like the cigarette butts that litter the walkways, and random beach towels and plastic sand buckets all over the place. they offer breakfast included, but again, it was overcrowded with unattentive parents and their screaming, whining kids and obese people. the offerings include waffles, cold and hot cereals, and an assortment of bread goods. a pretty good breakfast for a hotel stay. a nice hotel for a night or two on the island. if you’re looking for a more mellow, romantic area, try spending a few extra bucks for a more high-end hotel.

This place makes me smile — we have stayed there twice in three years, and I swear not much has changed since it was built in 1969. The best thing about the Days Inn is the price — $ 100 for a regular room with a parking lot view(advance reservation). The hotel is on the beach, with a short walk on a boardwalk over the dunes to the fantastic beach. It is clean, which is my number one thing. Breakfast is served upstairs in the viewing area, and is standard fare — make your own waffle, bagels, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc., but it is laid out nicely and there is plenty of food served from 6−10am. There is a large, unheated pool(4ft-8ft), and a smaller heated pool and hot tub with lots of chairs around the pool. Pool towels are skimpy, so bring your own if you can. There are places to rinse off your feet and kids as you come back from the beach. Each room has a microwave and small refrigerator. It is certainly no frills, but the price is great and it is clean. The grounds are well-cared for. The staff was helpful. Location cannot be beat.

Ok so I’ve stayed in some pretty bad hotels(Fayetteville, NC) but I’m not going to let this one go. We only stayed one night at the end of our vacation and we definitely didn’t even unpack. The rooms are unacceptable. Yeah there are two pools and direct beach access but I won’t be back.

Location, location, location… the Days Inn has it. The hotel is a short walk along a charming walkway over dunes to the beach. This part of the beach is great for looking for nesting sea turtles at night(June to July) and hatchlings(August to September). That is my kind of heaven. More conventionally Days Inn has two pools and hot tubs. The included breakfast is served on the second floor with beautiful views. I have not stayed in a regular room, but the suite was spacious. I entered on the front parking lot side and exited on the poolside. I liked sitting on the couch and gazing at the dunes beyond the pools. Staff seemed young to me, but that is happening more and more lately. They were attentive and eager to help with any questions. A couple of years ago this Days Inn won some major national recognition award of being excellent for a hotel of its level. Mostly I adore it’s location.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This hotel is ON the beach and has two pools to swim in, too. It’s been 18 months since we were there but it is not the most well-kept hotel. Rooms were clean but not spotless. They were a nice size though. We found the price to be quite reasonable compared to other hotels on Jekyll Island and plan to go back again in the future. It’s a nice change of pace from other more populated locales on the Atlantic Coast.

Not exactly the lap of luxury but it is what it is … A perfectly serviceable hotel on the beach. Great beach access, fine if plain rooms.

Hubby and I booked this a few weeks before. They gave us a «spring-cleaning» discount one night, which made our two night stay relatively cheap. We got to the hotel early(check-in is at 4pm), but our room was ready, so they let us check in early. When we called to book this room, all they had left in King rooms was a handicapped room. We asked what the difference was and they told us it just had a stand up shower instead of a bathtub. We booked it, thinking, big deal, we can handle that! We get there and it’s not just a stand up shower, it has a fold down bench in it and handicapped bars all over the bathroom. It wasn’t that much of a bad thing, just was a little shocking! The beds here are kind of hard, but the front desk people were fairly nice. They have a free continental breakfast, but my advice would be to get there early. We got there around 9:30am and it was PACKED… as in, we had to wait for a table! Other than that, this hotel is right on the beach, has 2 pools and the rooms are definately doable and affordable. We will probably stay here again when we go back.
