Had lunch here today shortly after we arrived to stay the night at Jekyll Island Club Hotel. The food at Courtyard at Crane was excellent. I had the burger and fries and it was prepared perfectly. My wife had the grilled pimento cheese sandwich which was the best sandwich she’s ever had. It had fried green tomatoes on it along with bacon. I wish I could say I was able to try some of it but she didn’t give me a chance. LOL. Service was excellent and we sat next to a window with an awesome view of the water on a beautiful day. Great memories made here this weekend.

I chose this restaurant because it had good reviews and it was listed as number one on two different websites. In addition, there was an early bird special for $ 19.95. I checked-in on Unilocal and selected the offer. The waiter hadn’t ever processed the offer and called over the restaurant manager, who refused to honor it and chastised us loudly enough for the table next to us to overhear. He had his cell phone out to the Unilocal page demanding to know why he couldn’t see the discount for himself! When I said I would be contacting Unilocal regarding this issue he said I could rest assured he would be contacting Unilocal himself to straighten this out ! Now four days have gone by and the offer is still up on their website; so was I wrong or was he wrong? I’m sorry I can’t review the food; I vaguely remember bread, soup and an entrée(none of it overcame the rudeness). So this isn’t a review about food but about a manager denyIng a tiny coupon with a long winded speech about trying to «pull one over» — I didn’t taste the food, I had a miserable impression of the restaurant and the resort after this. To be fair to our waiter he refunded us the $ 6 on his end but it was a little late to save the evening — kudos to him for bring a bigger man than his manager

We went here for a Sunday lunch and were very impressed by the food and atmosphere. We had the Reuben and fish tacos and Caramelized onion and chorizo dip and they were all fantastic a definite must for anyone visiting the island who wants a nice inexpensive but very delicious meal. Waiter was very helpful and attentive and we will definitely be recommending this to other friends!

Lunch menu selection is small and reasonably priced. Service was very good. I had the seafood sliders. The crab was the best. The shrimp was on the bland side. The fresh fruit side was large and fresh. Hubby had the meatloaf sandwich with onion rings. The sandwich was large and tasty. The burger was huge. It must have been a pound plus of meat. Cooked to order. Extra crispy bacon and fries. The chicken salad sandwich was huge. It contained nuts and celery. Super filling.

We spent two days on Jekyll Island and had occasion to eat both a dinner and a lunch at Courtyard at Crane. At both meals, the food was excellent. The service at both meals was equally excellent, though our server at lunch was much more personable and engaging. It is, without doubt in our minds, much better than the big sister Grand Dining Room, which I have reviewed separately.

This was our first meal at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel and it was terrific. We started with the Vegetable Bisque – a creamy blend of fall veggies — - very good. I then had the house salad which was very good and the lump crab cakes — all crab. My wife had the roasted chicken breast. The Nobilo wine was reasonable and good — asa always Ashley H. did an outstanding job of serving

This is our 1st time to Jekyll Island and of the 5 restaurants we’ve eaten at, this is the only 1 I would definitely recommend. The Mediterranean Shrimp Salad was great! We also had their Shrimp and Artichoke Pasta which was wonderful! Key Lime Pie was our dessert and it was creamy and delicious! We felt this restaurant was not any more expensive than the other ones we’ve been to. Marilyn was our server and did a super job. The ambiance of this place is understated elegance! We loved it and will definitely return. Pam from Traverse City, MI.

We enjoyed our meal! It wasn’t busy when we went and the #TampaTrio were in awe of the folded napkins, so staff taught them how to fold them! The Scallops were the BEST I have ever had. The kids had Salmon and loved it. It was expensive for the 5 of us, but worth the experience.

Excellent meal, service and atmosphere. I am vacationing so I only had cargo pants and a short sleeved shirt, but they were fine with my clothes.

Courtyard at Crane was a relatively decent priced lunch especially for being in a tourist trap. We all had different entrees and tried the grouper, crab and shrimp dip, the crab/shrimp sliders, shrimp pasta, and fish tacos. Everything was fantastic and the sliders were very large that I was only able to eat one. They have a fresh vegetable bread that was also delicious! This is a nice place to get seafood from and try different meals!

Simply delicious. Food was excellent, service was excellent. We had both seafood and filet mignon, both of which were amazing. Not to mention, the atmosphere is wonderful — candles on the tables, dim-but-not-too-dark lighting, beautiful views of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel grounds if you’re seated at a window like we were. We will absolutely be returning — highly recommend!

We chose Courtyard at Crane based on some pretty wonderful online reviews. Our server was great which led me rate CatC 3 instead of 2, but we were so disappointed over all that we probably won’t be back. Appetizers– Fried Green Tomatoes were absolutely tasteless. Between the four of us, we couldn’t finish them. The pickled shrimp were ok, but the saltiness took my breath away at first. The vinaigrette was oily and bland. Calamari and pork skins were awfully disappointing. The pork skins were extremely hard and altogether hard to chew. The calamari were the toughest I have ever had in my entire life. We didn’t finish that plate either. Salads– Run of the mill salads. Nothing spectacular and nothing terrible. Entrees– Scallops with bacon were ok. The flavors were good, but the scallops were a tad undercooked. Tuscan ribeye was good. Flounder with crab(daily special) had a strange sauce that was off putting. The parts of the fish that were sauce less were edible and pretty good. The crab inside was unremarkable. The paella was the one saving grace. It was fabulous. Lots if seafood and a cheesy(that was unexpected) rice below. I would have that again. I had high expectations and was left flat.

Fabulous experience! My husband and I went there to celebrate our anniversary. We were blown away! From appetizers to dessert and the amazing entrees in between, everything was delicious. We each shared an appetizer. He had the braised pork cannelloni and I the calamari(with pork rinds). I have eaten a lot of calamari and this was my all-time favorite! Large, chunky pieces at the perfect tenderness and lightly breaded(must be the buttermilk) complimented with pork rinds and a creamy yogurt/dill sauce. Caesar salad was the usual but my husband got his with oysters. They were perfect! I had the lobster and veal with asparagus. And he, the seafood paella. We were both blown away by the quality of the seafood as well as the portion sizes of everything. Peanut butter pie was the perfect ending to a truly delightful and pallet-pleasing meal.

We had a great meal last thursday there. Before we headed down to jerkily island, we looked at the availability of good restaurant there; not many options. Unilocal reviews on the courtyard at crane were promising so we made a reservation. That afternoon we walked by the place, looked at their menu and decided to keep the reservation. It is located in a beautiful historic area in Jekyl island. we opted to sit inside as it was pretty hot outside still. We took their special that day which was a plate of trio seafood, shrimp, scallop and crab cake. All made to perfection. Very highly recommended dining place.

This place is a must go to on the Island! The food was delicious and the wait staff was excellent and very knowledgable of the menu items. The property is gorgeous and if you get there at the right time, you can catch the most amazing sunsets on the water! Happy eating!

The main thing my wife wanted to do when we visited the island was to eat at the Courtyard. The setting here is beautiful especially in the spring. So we parked in a nearby lot and it was a short walk over. They were not busy this time of year so we were seated right away out in the Courtyard. It was a beautiful day, sunny and about 70. We had to start out with the Beer Cheese Soup. Our server also brought us a small loaf of seasoned hot bread with dipping sauce. The soup was thick, creamy and delicious. The bread was so fresh it melted in our mouth. My wife ordered the Fish Tacos and I ordered the Fish and Chips. The fish of the day was Grouper and it was fresh, firm and delicious. The prices were reasonable. Our meal with tip was around $ 40. Our service was excellent. We were not rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. This is a must stop if you visit the island and want to enjoy a great lunch.

Beautiful place! While visiting Jekyll Island one weekend we stumbled upon this place. They were preparing for a wedding on the lawn so we were not sure if they would be able to accommodate us, but they did. They had plenty of seating in a side room. The ambiance was perfect and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the seared Sesame Crusted Tuna Salad which was really tasty. It had included pan seared tuna, edamame, mango, and mint. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich-he was also very pleased. If you get a chance be sure to visit for a great dining experience!
