Mr Sams is right next door to Win Dixie. Since I was hungry and didn’t want to go in the grocery store when I was hungry. With that I decided to give this place a try. Upon my arrival I noticed that there were not that many people in here. Just me and one other patron. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. I decided to order the Roast beef PoBoy. I ordered it dressed. When I got it I noticed it had gravy on it. This isn’t the first time I have ever had a Roast beef PoBoy with gravy. Up north the only time I had a roast beef sandwich with gravy was when it was served open faced. I don’t I guess that is one of the many things that make this area different from every where else. Regardless the PoBoy was good. Not the best I ever had, but certainly not the worst. The décor of this shop was what you would find in a simple sandwich shop. I thought that the old Royal Crown Cola sign was pretty cool. I noticed that they also have a video poker machine off to the side. So I guess there is some entertainment value to this place. In short this place is alright if you want to avoid going to the grocery store hungry.

This place had signs posted that they had good southern food, it looked unassuming, in an old«bell taco» building and we saw a fire truck outside with firer fighters inside eating, so it must be good. The menu had just about everything from fried chicken to creole, so we picked out a few items and sat down to wait. My husband got the fried chicken, he said it was breaded heavily, crispy, and very moist. The sides, were average, mash potato’s and red beans and rice. He said he enjoyed it, but has had better. I got the jambalaya and it was pretty good, overall a good inexpensive meal.
