Very good restaurant! Fast and friendly service. Clean and nicely decorated. Food was very good, large portions and flavorful. Went on a Monday and they had a Margarita special– 22 oz for $ 5.99. I would recommend this restaurant.

Great addition to Jefferson. Wonderful service and really good food. The staff is very friendly. They are great with kids. Great chips and salsa. Lots of variety on the menu not the same standard mexican menu you usually see. Good portions. We can’t wait to go back.

Formerly the original home of El Centinela, NOW Los Vaqueros went about transforming the location into the best Mexican restaurant in the Jefferson area. Service is prompt and super attentive. The staff know the menu well and have guided me and my wife to some absolutely incredible dishes. Their salsa is fresh and spicy, chips are hot and fresh with a cheese dip made even better with large doses of freshly diced jalapeños. The tacos here are the real star and I cannot gush enough about the«Al Pastor» and«Asada» variants. The flavor of the«Al Pastor» is absolutely delicious and properly flavored with the meat cubed and ultra tender. They honestly do not need the sauces they arrive with and make sure to opt for the corn tortillas over the flour for a more authentic experience!
