Great food. I had the coconut buttermilk pie and my picky husband, really enjoyed the very berry pie.

This is cornbread on a whole different level – best ever. I also had a cup of Frito Pie, and again they elevate another Texas comfort food classic to stardom. Kitt’s is a real keeper.

It’s a pretty good place with pretty good food and friendly staff. I was there with my sister, I was visiting her, because I from LA myself. I absolutely don’t know Atlanta and I did know about some place in here nothing. We went there just to eat, without some special purposes. Cute and light spot, a good price and tasty food. I think they got and take a right direct in your work. I don’t want a lot of to write about it, just advice to come here and will check out my comment. I was satisfied like and my sister.

Stopped by on the way home from the lake dragging a boat. Yeah this is not the place to eat if you have more than a car, as the parking in downtown Jefferson is something out of the 1950s. Other than that, the service was good, waitresses where friendly and the sandwich was awesome. It is a unique experience that if you happen to be passing thru is worth the stop.

The Texan Cornbread was SO good! My family loved it! The apple pie was scrumptious too! Very good, if we ever go back we will stop there for sure!

Well first off the tea is instant, at least the unsweetened is. The sandwiches are good not exceptional. The soups chicken dumplings where okay no seasoning very bland the farmers stew had a very strong smoke flavor to it. The broccoli salad was OK nothing special it was an okay lunch nothing I would come again for.

Off the charts! I could not actually imagine this being as incredibly yummy as it was. I ordered the club«all the way» which meant a super yummy ripe tomato with mayo, cheese, and meat. Soooo delectably good. Perfect for a hot summer day. The broccoli slaw was amazing, as well(in spite of the fact I’m not a fan of raisins). I could have had this again for supper… it was just that good.

Great food, friendly service, family friendly very reasonable prices… Perfect lunch destination. The Irish Kornbred sandwich was fabulous. I definitely would recommend this restaurant.

The fresh brewed sweet tea was great. Sweet but not too sweet. Chicken and dumpling soup was good. The club sandwich on cornbread turned out great. Cornbread was moist and did not crumble. It makes a fun sandwich. The Double chocolate pie for dessert was fantastic too! The service was equal to the food. I am glad I wondered in!

Love the cornbread sandwiches & «all the way» is the best thing to say! The pies are to die for as well. Love the waitresses their, so kind. A little crowded and you may have to wait a little while, but it’s so worth it!

I had the Irish cornbread sandwich which was corned beef and Swiss, my husband had the Sicilian cornbread sandwich which was pastrami and provolone. For dessert we shared the double chocolate cream pie. The sandwiches were both very good but on the small side for the price of almost $ 8 and $ 9 and comes with a bag of plain potato chips. The service was a little slow due to the fact of one waitress running the entire restaurant. The pie was good.

Kitts is a cute spot to grab a bite for lunch. Who would have thought that putting sandwich fixins on two slices of cornbread could lead to a sandwich deliciousness revolution?! The service is great and definitely has that nice small-town, welcoming feel. The corn bread itself is dense, which is nice, because it doesn’t crumble all over the place when you’re trying to eat it. I really enjoyed the Pastrami cornbread sandwich. The prices weren’t too bad: I got a sandwich and a bag of chips for about $ 8.50. Though the sandwich isn’t very big, the meal was filling. Next time I’m in Jefferson, I’ll be stopping by Kitts. Until then, I can only try to emulate their cornbread sandwich perfection in my own kitchen.

Great food, don’t pass up the chance to try The broccoli salad, it’s the best… Takes awhile to get the food, but it’s well worth the wait!

I had to eat here, I am from out of state and have never seen such a place. I had the pastrami cornbread sandwich and the buttermilk pie, both were good. If I were to go again, I would go with the chili and cornbread, I tasted my husbands and it was delish. The service was slow and they didn’t tend to use for 10 minutes so I would only go here if I had some time to kill.

My boyfriend & I were passing through Jefferson City and this place was recommened to us by an employee of the boutique across the street. We were a little skeptical at first. We were traveling on a Harley in the heat that morning and the last thing we wanted was a sandwich with heavy cornbread. However, the boutique employee talked us into trying something new. When we walked in the restaraunt was packed, which is always a good sign. The only table that was available was an awkward one that was pushed up against a piano and a direct line to the kitchen. Being the only table, we made our way back there quick. We were immediately greeted with ice waters and menus. We got our food fairly quickly as well. I ordered«The Club» and my boyfriend ordered«The Cheeseburger» both on the jalapeño cornbread. They were both delicious. The only bad thing I have to say about the food is that I wish the jalapeño cornbread had more jalapeño flavor/jalapenos. I think mine had maybe one, I like my stuff a little spicy. Our server was sweet and did a very good job. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because one of the other employees, i’m not sure if she was another server or maybe a manager(she was very bossy) openly critizing our server(very loudly, might I add) in front of paying customers. Not once, but twice. I’m all for constructive criticism, but this was in no way constructive, this was being downright rude and pushy. There is a time and place for everything. If you are going to berate an employee or co-worker, in front of paying customers is not the place to do it. Should we ever happen to pass through Jefferson City again, which I hope we do, we will defintely be stopping back by.

Taste of the food was excellent. What detracts from this place is the small portions in the sandwiches. More Meat on the non chili sandwiches would go along ways. Also there is no kids menu, no changing table and only one high chair. So this is not an overly kid friendly place. The sandwiches start at 5.95 or so. The pies are 3.75 a slice with ice cream being an extra .50. I would eat here again especially if I wanted chili and cornbread.

We stopped by Kitt’s for an early dinner this past Saturday and were very pleased with it! It was highly recommended for lunches on TripAdvisor, so we decided to give it a whirl. As previous reviewers have noted, this is not a place to go if you’re on a diet. I mean, c’mon. It’s got Pie Bar and kornbread [sic] right there in the title. That being said, it definitely has a small town diner feel to it in a very good way. As for the sandwiches, I had the vegetarian(cheese, onion, tomato, mustard) and my wife had the Texan(chili, onion). The sandwiches were wonderful and heartburn inducing. However, if should be noted that besides the cornbread, very little is made in house. The chili was previously canned. However, if you are in Jefferson and want a good, cheap meal, definitely stop by Kitt’s. Very friendly service helps close the book on this wonderful detour in our Caddo Lake adventure.

Good place for lunch but not for a diet! We enjoyed both of their soups(chicken dumpling and beef stew) as well as their Texas special sandwich which was chili, onions, and cheese on cornbread and had to be eaten with a fork. And how could we resist trying their bread pudding?
