Full disclosure– I’m writing my review on a contractor that, in the end, I wasn’t able to employ because his service was out of my price range. Why I give these guys 5 stars, tho: I am doing a several-room renovation on a home I purchased and was having a tough time finding a contractor willing and able to work with a 203(k), particularly with the front-end paperwork and bidding deadlines. A friend recommended Tim Anderson, as he’d done a room addition for her home– a three-season room with windows on 3 sides. The woodwork and craft in that room was really outstanding. I had 30 days on my 203(k) to submit a full bid to my loan officer, and a previous contractor kept me hanging for 2 weeks. I needed a bid FAST. Tim showed up THATDAY to look at my project, and had the electrician and plumber out in 2 days to do their assessments. He and his team had their full bid– including roof, finished attic, two bathrooms, two rooms torn down and rebuilt– A professional, itemized bid in 4 days! He and his colleagues were incredibly helpful and professional throughout. Ultimately, I needed to use a different contractor to keep within my budget under the HUD and FHA guidelines I’m working with. Anderson’s prices are a little higher, but the high-end quality of work I’ve seen him provide definitely warrant the price(knowing the work at my friend’s) and the professionalism was the best I’ve experienced in the business.
