I would give them a zero if I could. I’ve been going there for almost 15 years, through a few different owners. Before leaving for the Christmas holiday, I was supposed to get my delivery, it didn’t show, but, A worker drove them to my house, she was great. We were several shirts short, she said she would look into them. Upon return, I called once a week, finally the owner called me, was rude, clearly had not looked into the situation, told me I was a thief, told me she was a lawyer and I should «watch myself», and on the argument went. Worst owners ever, horrible customer service! I will NEVER go back after 15 years. I’ve recommended so many people, lost shirts or not, the way I was treated was deplorable.

Ruth and the rest of the staff could not be nicer or more helpful. I have been using Alamo for over 20 years.

Cheap, affordable and friendly staff

I dropped off the comforter and a set of bedsheets to be washed. Was able to walk and drop off my items and walk out in less than a minute. The price for a basic comfortable wash was very reasonable. I highly recommend!

If you are looking to dry clean silk and delicate items, this is your place. I trusted them with several silk items, as well as a top of mixed fibers that is prone to pilling, and everything was returned brilliantly clean (even removing an oil stain that I had been washed and dried previously to no avail) and pressed to perfection. Love the feeling of perfectly clean and ironed items without the hassle and headache of doing it myself. Extra points for their prompt turn around and friendly staff. Competitively priced for sure.

I bought a coupon for services at Alamo cleaners online because I was drawn to their free pick up and drop off. Horrible decision! They never applied my coupon to the services and each time I called to speak with the manager he wasn’t available. I left countless messages for the owner, manager, and accountant over THREE MONTHS and still no one has tried to remedy the situation. The email addresses don’t work and my credit card was randomly charged $ 10 this week for services that were covered by my coupon.
I doubt I’ll get that money back. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

I’m done going back to Alamo Cleaners time after time thinking it will get better. I’ve used them ever since I moved here to New Orleans a year and a half ago, however they have completely ruined some of my shirts with very odd stains AFTER dry cleaning as well as have come back missing buttons or broken buttons after pressing.
The first time I used them I was less than impressed as the prices were a bit steep (compared to what i was used to in Houston) and the dry cleaning services were just aveage at best, however there was a lot of inconsistency in their dry cleaning service. At best the cleaning was above average but at worst I’ve had to throw out a couple really nice shirts because of either more than broken button or distinct ironed stains that were not there before.
I’ve gone there regularly because its close to my work and home however I will be finding a new dry cleaners because enough is enough. I hardly give bad reviews but I cannot continue to use this subpar service.

I will NEVER go back to Alamo Cleaners. I dropped a comforter off for cleaning on a Friday afternoon and was told that it would be ready for pick-​up Monday. I went to Alamo late Monday afternoon and was told that my item was not ready for pick-​up. No explanation, no apology. When I asked why it wasn’t ready, the young girl at the counter was interrupted by a man who was what seemed to be a supervisor. Not only didn ot not offen an apology, he told me that he would «let» me have the comforter Tuesday. No apology, no explanation. He was incredible rude, unhelpful, and quite frankly, he seemed as though he could not care less about making his customer happy. If I didn’t know better I’d have thought this man disliked me personally. I was extraordinarily disappointed with every aspect of my experience at Alamo and will never return. If I could have given them negative stars, I would have.

It’s wedding season and it is comforting to know that a place like Alamo Cleaners exists. More often than not I come into this sweet little business a frazzled mess in need of a heap of dresses cleaned. And I’m not talking any old dresses either. These are my precious dresses from Anthropologie and the like chock-​full of sequins and delicate embroidery. I am a Southern girl, what can I say?
I have taken dresses of mine to other cleaners only to have them returned with whole patches of sequins missing or tattered strings hanging off the hem. But, with Alamo, they always come back as perfect as the day I bought them. Seriously.
I wholeheartedly trust this cleaner and I love that they are expanding to more convenient locations. Plus, the staff is so friendly and helpful, which as I get older and curmudgeonly is an absolute necessity.

I fired Alamo Cleaners almost a month ago. I always used them for clean and press mens shirts. Most times, the shirts were not ready as promised. Several times, they were pressed and not cleaned (I could still see the crumbs in the breast pocket). If there was a stain in which you pointed out, it would be an extra day, because they had to «buy the soap for it». WOW! They were one big excuse after another. I also found that parking was a pain, and other customers of Alamo were rude and inconsiderate. They also man handled a Brooks Brothers shirt and ripped it down the seam.

With the holidays upon us, that means parties galore. Alamo was able to get a stack (literally, a stack) of my dry-​cleaning done in just one day’s time. That meant I was good-​to-​go for my office Christmas party and a handful of other events. I’ve been using Alamo for years and will continue to do so so long as they continually save my butt.
