Choice Hotel. NOT!!! Really annoyed. Had to make an extra stop due to my back and slipping in the bathroom on their soapy floors did not help. Seems there was a bigger water issue that resulted in my having to switch rooms after 8 p.m.(Did I mention my bad back?). Veronica, who was on duty, moved the phone and refrigerator and my 2 heaviest bags for me to nasty room #2(pun intended). Yes, the room was comped, but that did not help my back one bit. No square pillows, no waffle maker, no eggs or bacon. Thus should NOT qualify as a choice hotel. Lots of mold and mildew, inside and out. Keep looking. Don’t stop here.

Don’t stay here. I was told I didn’t need to show my «CHOICEprivileges» reward card. As a result, no points because the stay doesn’t show up. Very shabby and run down. Felt unsafe. Fixtures in room and bathroom broken or not working. Tub dirty. Promised statement and receipt were in my email inbox. Not there. I inadvertently left behind some clothing and important papers. I asked the front desk clerk to mail them to me. She has just blown me off. Choice Hotels corporate offices told me they have nothing to say about anything the motel does. I used to love Choice Hotels, but not anymore.

I travel a lot and find this to be one of the better Econo Lodge properties I have visited. In fact when coming to Jefferson City this is where I always stay. If you are looking for a basic no-frills room this property is an excellent choice. One suggustion: If you have a lot of luggage or heavy items, try to get a ground-level room(no elevator).
