Uhm I’m pretty neutral, the food was ok for my liking, customer service kinda sucks. seems like unless your yelling or being super aggressive with the cashier your invisible. Food is pretty pricey just like everywhere else… however they give you more food than these other local spots. Would I return uhm… yeah I guess the woman who answered when I ordered on the phone was pretty nice.

I was told about this restaurant by a friend who is originally from Queens who dared me to step out of my comfort zone(and borough) and try other places outside of my usual haunts. So three of us decided to stop by this past weekend and see what they had to offer. Initially, the restaurant has a cozy bar feel, but it is far from that. Our server, Jazz, was extremely bubbly and professional and surprised me by reciting the entire menu from memory. And what I also appreciated was that she was honest about portion sizes and ingredients. I didn’t feel like she was just trying to sell me anything on the menu. After much though, I decided on the grilled mango infused lobster tail with the macaroni & cheese and sautéed spinach as my sides. One of my friends got the salmon with pineapple dressing and mashed potatoes as a side, while the other one got the«Rasta Pasta» with grilled chicken and shrimp(which was more than enough for one person). The dishes came out in about 15 minutes, which is fairly normal for a busy establishment. I will say this though; you get a lot of food for the price. I was very surprised, especially since it’s the springtime going into the summertime. In the city, most restaurants try to beat you in the head with«market price» seafood; not here though. Not to mention the lobster tails are a generous size. The food was so good that there wasn’t much talking at the table; just eating. One of my friends couldn’t finish all of his Rasta Pasta and the other friend had practically licked his plate clean. My lobster tail was sweet and spicy. What I liked is that it wasn’t overly spicy; it was just enough. The macaroni & cheese melted as soon as it hit your tongue and needed no additional salt or pepper(which is a first for me). This is a really great place by JFK airport(it’s actually walking distance, believe it or not). The only drawback for me is that since I live in Manhattan, it is a bit far(for me). However, I have discovered that I can take the LIRR and get there in twenty minutes time. I will definitely be going back within the coming months because the food really is THATGOOD.

My favorite spot to grab something to eat because i know ANYTHING i order from their extensive menu will b delicious. I literally have never had the same meal twice and im never disappointed. The bar side is also cool. The bartender whitney is always my choice. She is attentive and always ready to make up a new drink on the spot like a true bartender making sure we never leave sober. I came 2 try the brunch last sunday and I’m sooo upset ive been missing it all this time! Yes the food took a while to come but if youre with good company plus good mimosas the time flies. And the fried lobster w chili sauce with eggs and cheese and a side of home fries was soooo good i was full and still couldnt stop eating it. Definitely worth the wait! If u ever had a bad experience here i beg u 2 try again! Ill pass up all the spots closer to me just to eat here any day!

Wherever I go I look for a really good soul food spot. I’ve seen this place many times off the Van Wyck Exp but I thought it was only a club/lounge. I just happened to Unilocal«best soul food» in Jamaica, NY and this place popped up. I decided to ride by and check out and I haven’t been sorry since. You walk into an aroma of heaven and you just want everything! Their mac & cheese is so cheesy and divine. The fried chicken is soo damn good and the mango salmon is to die for. Whenever I’m in the Jamaica area I always make it my business to stop at Vibes. I promise you’ll love it! Grab one of their flavored lemonades too. Such a great compliment to any meal!

I really didn’t want to write this review and I feel bad for doing so because I’ve been a long time customer and I love the food, but if there’s bad service, it needs to be brought to the attention of whoever owns this place or employs these people. I decided to order for delivery. I live a less than a 10 minute walk away but it was cold so I figured delivery would be better. I thought since I live close it wouldn’t take too long. WRONG!!! I ordered, waited 2 hours, nothing. Called again, lady on the phone told me the driver left to drop off my food. She seemed to forget I said I’ve been waiting 2 hours but she seemed to be in a hurry, so I just said ok and hung up. Keep in mind I’m only 10 minutes away, so I was confused why its taking 2 hours. Then it’s finally over 3HOURS no food delivery. I knew I wasn’t gonna get my order that day. I called again anyway to check again and make sure the driver is ok in case something happened to him. They give it to the chef who made my food(???) who tells me she made my food, said the delivery guy delivered it and came back. I was confused… if it was delivered where was my food then? Something wasn’t adding up and clearly something sneaky going on. I didn’t even get a call during those 3 hours I was waiting either. Chef was the only one who spoke to me in a non rushed and understanding way. Still, I never got my order. This is not a way to run a business. Never order delivery from here.

Went on a Wednesday evening around 6:30 after work thinking there would be happy hour. Bar wasn’t even open because«bartender called out.» Where they do that at? Anyway they forced someone from the takeout section to open up the bar for us. Nice for us and bad for her. Was really awkward but at least they tried. Once we got over the lack of ambiance we ordered food. Macaroni and cheese is a must have. Chicken and waffles gave Roscoe’s a run for their money. Would have been better with a little less chocolate flakes but overall still good. Rasta pasta some of the best I’ve had. As for drinks. Way over priced. Tiny cup for $ 8. All in all will be back to order take out but won’t bother trying to dine in.

I came here with my boyfriend, and we both decided to try their Rasta Pasta. He order the chicken pasta and I got chicken and shrimp pasta, and I must say it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was seasoned well and the portion sizes are«HUGE.» I have been to Footprints several times, and I must say this place is better than Footprints by far. Comparing Vibes to Footprints Rasta Pasta, I will say Vibes Rasta Pasta was a little on the hotter side, cheaper, taste better, and you will get more food for your money. Also we decided to try Vibes strawberry lemonade, two thumbs up! Overall, my dine-in experience at Vibes was terrific. Everyone was extremely nice and very attentive. I will definitely return soon.

This place is the truth, a real hidden gem. The menu is awesome, they have a master or mistress in the kitchen. I went for brunch, you should too. From the many flavored mimosas… yes I said many different flavored mimosas to the great offerings on the menu, this joint is it. Whitney and Q will cheerfully attend to you. I highly recommend this place to out of towers and natives.

Me and my friends came here today to try the brunch and I must say it was delicious. I had the steak, cheese with eggs, and home fries everything was cooked to perfection. My friends really enjoyed their meal and as we were eating we said that we will definitely return. The only thing I didn’t like it seemed as if we were being rushed to finish our meals so we couldn’t get any more unlimited mimosas. I saw staff walking by looking at our plates to see how much food was left. Once your plates are removed you can no longer get unlimited mimosas. I thought that was odd because it wasn’t like it was extremely crowded and they needed tables I guess they didn’t have enough champagne stocked. Our waitress was really nice and still gave us another round of mimosas which she really didn’t have to do. I will definitely be back again for brunch because the food was just to good.

Had the half red velvet has buttermilk chicken and waffles. They were good and price wasn’t bad. Staff was kind and respectful. The half and half tea they have is really good too. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others

I have to say at first I thought this place would be kinda ratchet based on the location. But I checked Unilocal and saw it had some good reviews. Checked it out on a Tuesday and to my surprise it was a nice place inside. Not a lot of ppl but chill young crowd. Not scary or roudy. The drinks are strong but my friend got Jack and ginger — it’s somehow tasted like turpentine. Don’t think it was Jack honestly. I would stick to beers. Drinks are expensive for the area. Between $ 8 – 13 per. Music was Hip hop and r&b but chill. They apparently have a live band come and brunch menu sounds decent. I would definitely go back on sat brunch and ck the Vibe out then ;). I liked the place for a bar in a place like that. Completely underestimated it so def ck out the place. Waitresses were friendly. I was waited by Whitney. She was awesome.

Terrific find only a mile or so from the JFK Sheraton and Hilton Garden Inn! Get there when they open because all the parking spots(street only) disappeared by the time we left and the place was really starting to fill up. I still can’t figure out why they separate the wood paneled bar where they host comedians and live music from the half dozen cafeteria style tables in the front where you can see the chefs at work. Comfort food items like mac & cheese and collard greens sit under a heat lamp where customers can order to go. They took my coworker and I to the bar where they only have a few beers, a full bar of spirits and no wine to be found. C is very talkative and social and quickly took to the bartender and the chef who came and personally brought us complimentary chicken wings with garlic toasts that even I enjoyed(I don’t like wings) as well as the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had. Crispy, piping hot and perfectly seasoned, they didn’t really need any of the five or so sauces they include with the tenders and the wings. If we’d known they were going to regale us with such a feast, we would have just split the rasta pasta with shrimp and chicken we each ordered. The sauce is very rich and cheesy. I could only manage a few mouthfuls before I had to put my fork down. They don’t make the best leftovers because the sauce separates when you nuke it so enjoy them fresh! Afterwards, one of the owners came to chat with us. Turns out he was born and raised in New York but moved to Seattle to become one the 34th(38th?) Microsoft employee. He returned home to open Vibes. Small world. Incredible comfort food at reasonable prices and over the top friendly staff make for happy customers which abound once this place starts picking up. I thought so highly of this place I distributed menus at the office before heading home to Seattle. If you Über here, this is a perfect spot to hit night after night until your clothes become too tight. A rare 5 star act you can’t find like this on the West Coast!

Came in for dinner with my kids and brother they were having comedy night but I was seated in a different location because I didn’t think the comedy show would have been appropriate for my kids much to there chagrin lol ! Anyway we were there for the food not the comedy especially the mac n cheese which is on point Vibes chefs please never change your recipe it’s sooo good like grandma’s! Service was polite and even though it took a while for our entrées to arrive everyone was more than pleased with the delicious food !

Don’t punish this establishment because of the location it will be your worst mistake ever! The food(I have had everything on the menu) and staff at this spot are the best or maybe because I go there so much they know me lol. The Sunday brunch is a great way to relax, the live band is a nice added touch and the unlimited mimosas are on point. Jasmine is my favorite waitress/bartender and if Keisha is behind the bar ask her to make you a Kamikaze, I promise you will not regret it.

This is a difficult review to write. I was so excited about their Rhythm&Brunch(R&B… See what they did there? Lol) so I suggested it to my fiancé after church. We came around 12:45. It was pretty empty inside(sidenote: they have a «café» looking section that the waitress said was for takeout, we almost went inside there) There was no hostess booth or anything, so we were a little confused but finally decided to sit at the bar. Bartender/Waitress was friendly and sweet, I honestly liked her despite a few things. We placed our order and she started pouring our mimosas. At one point she ran out of champagne and found an old, dusty, close-to-empty bottle under the bar that she poured for my Fiancé. Who knows how long it’s been there, but it was flat. Our food took about an hour to come out, and after about 3 or 4 pours the bartender just stopped refilling our glasses. After disappearing for 20 minutes she comes over to say that she sees our empty glasses but intentionally limited our«unlimited mimosas» because the kitchen is backed up and we haven’t eaten yet. Didn’t offer us water or anything else, though. It was Sunday and I was in a good mood so I didn’t flip, but that was when my fiancé and I decided we probably won’t be returning. Finally the food arrives, the bartender was very apologetic. I still don’t see why it took so long with only 3 other parties seated. I ordered Spinach & shrimp omelet with American cheese — it came out with cheddar instead, which I don’t like but I certainly wasn’t going to send it back. Fiancé got chicken & waffles. The food was okay; the chicken lacked flavor, but the waffle was pretty good. I do think it’s a nice looking venue, the singers were talented and interactive. I prefer to support local businesses but despite convenience of location and obvious potential, there are so many other great brunch options available. I probably won’t be returning here. :(

The staff here is phenomenal. They’re very welcoming & with the smiles to match as they greet customers. That’s exactly what customer service is all about. We placed our order & were told to have a seat. As we were waiting I noticed the homey feel the café offers. The café is separate from the restaurant. The restaurant side doesn’t open up until 7pm & closes at 12am. When the restaurant is open the café is closed. I was also informed that they have comedy night on Thursday. We both ordered the Spicy Rasta Pasta. My friend asked for grilled Chicken. I opted for the Grilled Chicken & Shrimp. The way the Penne was cooked was divine. I usually prefer al dente but this was slightly gooey. Fresh garlic, spicy seasoning, an amazing amount of cheese, red, green, & yellow peppers all tossed in a creamy Alfredo sauce. What I love most about Vibes besides the service is the inexpensive prices & the portions that could easily feed two people. They also have a Rhythm Brunch on Sunday which features a live band that plays R&B as you dine. Brunch is a pre-fix menu that offers bottomless mimosas for $ 25 pp.
