Kay tatz did my sisters first tattoo and he was very professional and is a good artist. He comes up with his own ideas and really knows how to draw. He has great sketches in his scrap book. My sister literally told him what she wanted and he sketched it for her to see if that’s the way she wanted it. If I was gonna get a tattoo I would go to him and only him. Very good service everyone here is friendly. Highly recommend.

I stumbled upon Think Before you Ink while searching for the right artist to do a custom tattoo. I went shop to shop in NYC and no artist seemed quite up for the challenge nor could they make my vision come to life. The minute I stepped into the shop and saw the custom art work on the walls and felt the great vibe, I knew this would be my permanent tattoo shop. The staff are all very friendly and passionate about what they do. These artist are truly artists, not just stencil tracers. Rich is am amazing artist and is enthusiastic about trying new types of art. He completely nailed my thigh tattoo and there isn’t a day where I don’t walk down the street or am in the gym where someone doesn’t come up to me to compliment my tattoo. Because of the army, I am now traveling across the country and I am yet to find another artist who I feel comfortable enough to ink me or whose work compares to the artists here at TBYI. I can’t wait to set up another appointment this fall when I return to Queens while I’m on leave.

This is a tattoo shop with ARTISTS! These artists will bring your ideas to life on your skin. This is not a shop where you can go in and pick something off the wall. The artists in this shop will create you a one of a kind masterpiece. The shop is clean, beautifully decorated with art from the employees and the customer service is outstanding! I have been to a lot of tattoo shops in a lot of different places and none of them can light a candle to Think Before You Ink! Keep up the great work guys!

I came to this spot because my boyfriend got his first tat with Rich, I stopped by and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! My first tattoo and I’m happy as HECK! The location is upstairs and as soon as I walked in I was welcomed in, I showed the beautiful girl in the front desk a picture of the tattoo I wanted and she gave me a guesstimate price (but prices aren’t really based on her it’s the tattoo artist who really decides) I went to the bank to take out the money (there is an ATM next door you can go to). Anyway Kay was my tattoo artist and he was super dope, he did his job promptly and helped me relax. I love my new and first tattoo and the staff was awesome, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS.
