Always always overcrowded. The staff is incredibly inefficient. I ordered a cold brew and had to wait 25 minutes just to be informed they didn’t have cold brews. The barista offered me an iced coffee which was basically a cup of ice. Additionally, they don’t allow you to redeem your gold star rewards which is really inconvenient! Very unhappy with my experience here.

I love the fact that we have Starbucks at St John’s!!! During the semester I get coffee or tea there 3 – 4 times per week. Not because I need caffeine, but because I love the taste of all drinks there. Usually there are big lines, so you need to have 15 – 20 min for staying in the line and get your drink,

Same coffee as any other starbucks. The workers here are relatively friendly and well-mannered compared to other starbucks that I have been to. The major problem is this campus starbucks doesn’t take rewards and other online options or at least that is what many workers have said…

I am a coffee drinker and must have my morning coffee and afternoon Frappachino. Barnes and Nobles on Union Turnpike has a Starbucks and they will make it anyway you want. Dump half a bottle of caramel in the cup, no problem. At Starbucks on 188th Street you can ask for anything you want… Getting what you want is a different story. Ask for loads of caramel and they’ll put in a squirt or two. It’s usually extremely crowded at the Starbucks on 188th street and the chances of getting a seat is slim to none. There are few food and dessert choices as well. Barnes and Nobles has lots of seating, a huge variety of food and desserts(but lately the dessert portions seem to be getting smaller). They both provide WiFi access and it is not that high speed but you should have no problem getting connected. It seems that Starbucks can do better at actually serving your coffee your way, especially since you’re paying $ 5 — $ 6 for a cup. If you want your special coffee served your way, and a large selection of food and desserts go to Barnes and Noble on Union Turnpike and read a good book while you are there.

Oh Starbucks… It’s an incentive to come to campus, and knowing you’ll have a cup of delicious coffee accompanying you to class makes being in class bearable. There are usually long lines, but worth the wait. Staff is effective and efficient.

A Starbucks on campus? Who’s brilliant idea was that? Sju is clearly on a never ending quest to make me poor and in debt for the rest of my existence. It’s fine though. If I’m poor on account of an education and delicious double chocolatey chip frappes I suppose that’s quite alright. Of all the Starbucks locations I’ve been to across the nation(like how I made myself sound all globe trotting coffee connoisseur-ish) this one is not the best location but it gets the job done between classes when you’re looking for a quick fix. The line will be ridiculous if you go right as class let’s out but DUH! Everything is crowded then. And I will admit they really do work pretty hard to get that line cleared. You’re best bet is to go right before class let’s out. You’ll be good. I don’t think they take as much care with their drink making as outside Starbucks but they don’t taste horrible. Their strawberry frappé and the dcc frappé never taste as sweet as they do in a regular spot. I think they may get a little ice crazy which melts quickly and waters it down but whatever. It gets the job done. They’ve only been open like 2 years. I’ll give them until next semester to perfect the whole thing.

why oh why did you have to open in my school? before you came along, i only forced down cups of Seattle’s Best during midterms and finals everyday i tell myself to stop myself, but when i see you, i can’t stop myself im utterly addicted to you. from the sound of the blenders to the delicious smells that hit me on my way to my first class on mon and thur and my last class on tues and fri, u always manage to pull me towards you. sigh even when i have classes in different building way across campus i find myself running towards the DAC to wait in line for a grande caramel macchiato or ice green tea-only when im on caffeine overload. i am addicted to caffeine all thanks to starbucks and their delicious frappes, macchs, coffees, green tea… i swear i spend all my dining $ here but i dont care. it’s so worth it
