Astonishingly slow, even for Shake Shack. Their stuff isn’t worth standing in line long for in the City, and it’s not worth missing a flight for at the airport. But, as airport food goes, this as well as you can do. It’s good stuff for sure. Note: The slowness refers to the one at B23– been there twice recently. Haven’t been to the B37 one lately, so maybe they have a heightened sense of urgency down there.

Hearing good things about their burgers I had to try one! Not having the chance to stay in New York the second I saw the restaurant in the terminal I had to have it. Being in a rush going from plane to plane finding a quick meal made the biggest difference in my flying experience. After a quick look at the menu I decided on the Smokeshack. A burger topped with bacon, cheese and there shack sauce. I would eat here again trying something different, it wasn’t a burger that left a lasting impression. For somebody in a rush and needs a decent burger I would recommend stopping here to grab a bite.

I do enjoy a good burger every now and then and when in the NYC area be sure to stop at a Shake Shack. There are times when I’m flying through and grab a burger from this Shake Shack, along with a caramel shake. The cheeseburgers are very tasty.

The hot dogs and fries are extremely tasty. This place would be awesome if more of the people working there had any desire to move their bodies in any other gear besides low. One girl was working circles around everyone else and she was smiling. Kudos to her. But this place is in the airport! Don’t try to eat here unless you have plenty of time to wait for your food.

Although the good is great and freshly made to order you may end up missing a connection if you are in a hurry — took us about 10 – 15 mins to get our order. It is totally worth the wait if you are familiar with the chain and crave their hotdogs, burgers and shakes. Skip it if you don’t have at least 30 mins to eat.

I was so excited to introduce my kids to Shake Shack. We ordered, waited 10 minutes and then raced off to our gate 5 minutes away. Imagine how surprised we were to open up our bag and find inedible food. My son’s hot dog was charcoal black. Not little lines like from a grill. Both sides of the hotdog were completely black. Every square centimeter. I couldn’t even peel off the charred parts because there were no uncharred parts. I’m sure the teenager in charge of the grill was laughing at the thought of my 8 year old not eating for 5 hours. Never had as bad of a fast food experience as that. Will never eat from any Shake Shack again. Revolting and obviously no quality control.

Food is Shake Shack, guiltfully delicious. The service, complete opposite. An order of Shack Stack and shake took over 15 minutes. Saw at least 8 customers order after me and their food. Repeated inquires were met with food is coming but instead saw folks goofing off. Will walk to the other Shake Shack int he same terminal.

I love love love Shake Shack and cannot wait until one opens in Los Angeles next year. I have been a fan ever since my cousin introduced me to one years ago on the upper east side of Manhattan. There are 2 locations in Terminal 4. So, when my husband and I landed from Venice, we had to stop by the closest one during our short layover. I do not understand why anyone would give this location less than 5 stars. First of all, the food is just as good as other locations throughout the city. The customer service is absolutely incredible. After we placed our order we stood nearby to wait for our food. I read the receipt and realized that one of the things I ordered was incorrect. So, I told my husband and one of the employees overheard me. She told me to come to the counter so she could correct our order and was extremely apologetic. I was so happy that we decided to come to this location! Don’t believe the negative reviews. This is the place to go for an amazing meal after a long flight.

Shake Shack is always a good decision. So if you can get some cheese fries, a bacon burger, and a beer(and get it fast) while you wait to board your long international flight, why would that decision be any worse?

I know that this has been all the rage since its inception — and a business phenomenon of sorts — but I honestly have to say that I just don’t get it. Why would I pay top dollar for a burger, fries and milkshake? I gave it a shot and stood on the line with a large group of friends who, like me, had never tried it out before. It seems that you’re paying for the trendy name, not the quality. I had to leave half the contents of my tray.

A new addition to JFK’s Terminal 2 added July 2014, this Shake Shack has no adjacent tables, but there are a bunch of chairs across the way between gates B20&B23. Standard Shake Shack fare means you get tasty burgers, fresh cut fries, shakes or concretes or hotdogs at airport-meets-Brooklyn-concept prices. The security guard in front of me balked at $ 3.75 for a cup of lemonade, so… you know. But it’s good, a basic single burger runs you $ 5.15, and let’s face it, this is a far cry from the culinary wasteland of I’m-not-gonna-eat-at-The-Palm-in-an-airport choices of T2 of the past. They had Brooklyn’s Oktoberfest on tap for $ 7 for a pint. I can see a breakfast menu from where I’m eating this burger, but I’m too lazy to walk back over there. Fridge case had Stumptown coldbrew coffee and those little probiotic yogurt drink shots, plus beer and juices. And if part of your party is hit up for cash, there’s a Panda Express directly next to it. This is all you need to know.
