Ok, before you think this is some kind of promotional for Para Ti Colombia, just know that I really wanted to like this place. It’s much closer than Para Ti Colombia, which I normally go to when I want Latin food, and so I figured I’d try it for the convenience. With the shitty attitude of the employees, you’d assume that the food would at least be good to make up for it, but nope. I went to the Hillside location. 1. So I call and put in my order for pickup. I shit you not, after I tell her my order and say that’s it, the girl on the other end says ‘okay…’ like I just said the most stupidest thing on Earth. So I’m just like ‘okay, thanks,’ and I hang up. 2. I get there and this is really what took the cake. I open the door to the store, and there’s really no one there except some young male employee I could see through the hole-y wall. I say ‘excuse me’ because I don’t really see any other employees anywhere else. He ignored me and I keep on walking to what looks like the cashier desk. No one’s there either but then, I see some girl standing all the way at the corner of the restaurant dressed in waitress clothes just staring at me. Staring. Normally when I go to any restaurants, the waitress or server usually greets me instead of making me walk around like a clown while staring at me. I walk over to her and tell her I ordered on the phone and pick it up. 3. I was hoping the food might be good after all of the bad service, but no. I ordered the ¼ chicken with beans and extra plantains which came out to 11.50. The beans were really dry and had no sauce; like they just came out of the can. The chicken was at least seasoned which was good, but that was really the only thing to like. I guess I’m just going to keep on trekking over to Para Ti Colombia, even if it is a few bus stops away. The rude customer service + sub-par food isn’t really worth it. I’ve picked up better chicken and rice combos at the deli for cheaper.

This is my second review on this place and I’m very mad and highly upset right now. I wanted some soup so bad on this cold day so I stopped here before going home to get some. The wait was so long that the cashier gave me something to drink while I waited which was nice of her but the outcome of waiting so long wasn’t worth it!!! My chicken was not all the way cooked and a little pink inside it looks horrible! Plus they put a whole egg inside of it that looks like it’s been sitting around for days I paid 8 bucks for this disgusting soup I’m never ever coming back here again if you want some good soup please don’t come here!

The food, service and atmosphere was great! Definitely comming back. The Reaturant was clean and elegant. Previous reviews hit it right on. Prices were fare and the food portion they serve was perfect.

I placed an online order on seamless to deliver to my house. The delivery took a hour to come and it was because they deliver by bike and I lived pretty far from their place and I was surprised that they still offer free delivery and for that, it was reasonable for the wait time. I was very satisfied with their food. I ordered the ½ rotisserie chicken, fried rice and their salchipapas. Everything was really good and tasty! I love their fried rice, I can order from there everyday. But, bad news… the green chili sauce was very watered down and the flavor was pretty bland. They put it in a really small container so I could only eat a half table spoon of it. I admire the green chili sauce and it’s my favorite to add flavor. All in all, the food is great and I will come back. I just wish they offered a bigger portion of their green chili sauce and for it not to be watered down. This restaurant could of been 5 stars to me!

Not impressed. $ 27 for a whole chicken, small container of rice, beans and fries. Oh yeah and a bottle of coke. The rices and beans were fine but if you want to feed a family of 4 I think a larger amount of rice would go a long way. The chicken was dried out and not worth the price. I’ve had better for $ 6.99 at the supermarket.

Went for lunch today. I ordered the half chicken with rice and beans and sweet plantains. Waitress was nice and responded quickly. However the food wasn’t good. The rotisserie chicken had no flavor and the green sauce was gross. I’ve been to other Peruvian spots in the area and they are way better.

Went here cause of the reviews and my baby picked it out since we were staying near by at Comfort Inn on 162nd. Staff was very friendly and offered us wine while we looked at the menu. We order the Chicken Combo for $ 18.00 bucks and was have to say some of the best food we ever had. The Chicken was baked to perfection well seasoned. Meat slide right off the bone even the Breast was tender which was impressive. The rice and gravy was an amazing combination and there special sauce. Soup was also amazing. Only complaint which is minor was the plaintan was kind of bland with not seasoning but was good none the less and I am Nitpicking at this point. Will be back again when I am in the area.

When I can’t make the trip out to Elmhurst this is my local spot. Their food is off the hook and portions are huge. I just wish they’d deliver to me :(

ordered delivery through grub hub from this place. the delivery was incredible quick! took them about half an hour to reach my steps, but as far as the quality of the food was concerned you’re much better off at pio pio. I ordered the whole chicken and the personal jalea and i can honestly say i’m not impressed with either. The chicken was dry and the seasoning was not impressive. the green sauce that came with the chicken was not creamy and was incredible watery. I don’t know if its more authentic or maybe it caters to different tastes, but it definitely was too sour for my liking. the jalea was not fresh, seafood was frozen and the taste was evident. again the tartar sauce that comes with it was too sour(did they douse everything here with lemon/lime?) and again the seasoning really did not agree with my pallet. the delivery here was quick and on point so props to this establishment for keeping the wait short, however the food was a huge let down… maybe I’ve become too spoiled for my own good with a higher caliber franchise

I usually order the ¼ chicken or the half chicken and make my rice at home. The food is good, but its like a lottery. There are times when the food is great quality, but days when you can tell they put a cup of salt on the chicken and said«F it.»

I order delivery through GrubHub from here the first time 2 days ago and I’m ordering again today !! Can you tell I’m excited? lol I ordered the half chicken special and some horchata. First, the delivery was not that long but when I received my food I could clearly see it want handled with care as it should be cause it is holy greatness. BUT my food container was sitting on its side and had big dents in it causing all my food to be pushed to one and side. Also the driver couldn’t speak much English but I don’t care, made it more authentic to me. I quickly got over the presentation of my food once I tasted the chicken. It was soooo juicy and the skin was everything. The horchata was also better than any horchata I’ve ever ordered from a Mexican restaurant, do Peruvians do it better? Seems like it. This is going to be one of my go-to delivery spots!

I love this place. Great food for a great price. The location is a bit small which makes it perfect for a date for two.

I have eaten here more than a few times over the past year. Prices have gone up, meal quality has gone down. But my last meal here will be my last for good because there was a screw hiding in/underneath a piece of chicken. I didn’t order any metal pieces and I didn’t want any. From now on, staying far away!

We dropped in thinking we were just going to snack and use the restroom since we had an hour commute back into Manhattan, but we were quite surprised by the interior tiny hole in the wall. This Peruvian place is very good! We ordered one entrée and shared it between both of us. The flavorful yummy steak came with rice and french fries. So good!!! We also had a side of fried plantains. We both were very impressed with the quality and the taste of the food that it was surprisingly delicious! Next time I want to try the rotisserie chicken!!!

Do not get fooled people(like I was). THISISNOTTHEPIOPIOCHAIN. I was craving Pio Pio and did a Unilocal search for the restaurant, although I know exactly where all the locations are in Queens. So when I saw a location in Jamaica Hills, which is pretty close to my house, I decided to check it out. However, when I got there, it was this teeny tiny hole in the wall that looked nothing like the Pio Pio chains that I’ve been to. When I got inside and sat down, I actually remember thinking(more like convincing myself) that it must be the«original» Pio Pio or something. LOL. By the way, I actually looked online at Pio Pio’s website, and there is no mention of this location, in case you’re wondering if this is really the original chain. Anyway, the chicken is good, not gonna lie. The meat literally just slid off the bones and melted in my mouth. However, I also had their paella, but it was bad. The seafood was not fresh and the rice was kind of dry and hard and it was just blech. The women who work there hardly speak English and the patrons all seemed like locals. Definitely a neighborhood joint, but wouldn’t go out of my way to go back there again.
