I love Franks… for everything BUT the pizza. The pizza is always overcooked, dry and flavorless. The pasta and heroes, though, are fantastic. Best eggplant parm hero I’ve ever had, and the penne vodka is solidly good. If they made a better pizza, they’d shoot up to a solid 4, possibly even 5 stars, but a pizzeria really should have edible pizza and Frank’s pizza is pretty awful. It would also be great if the delivery was quicker — seriously have to order an hour before your lunch break to even hope to get your food on time.

Super chaotic at lunchtime and overcrowded with court employees, but this Italian eatery is otherwise a solid pick. Twice now I’ve come with coworkers. First time I made the mistake of order chicken parmigiana, which wasn’t ready until my colleagues’ meals were done. The next time I ordered the philly chesesteak, which was also not ready until everyone else was done eating. The food was delicious, but not worth the anxiety about the time ticking on my lunch hour. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Third visit, I’ll definitely be ordering pizza or salad like everyone else. Chances are, it’ll be tasty just like everything else I’ve had there.

Had a delicious $ 5 spinach roll but they charged me an extra $.50 for a tiny cup of marinara. What’s up with that?

It looks okay, but definitely cardboard-esque. I’ve had better dollar slices.

This is my first time giving a 3 star rating. The reason why I gave this is mainly because of the prices. Frank’s Pizza is close to the office, so I know that they changed owners in the last year or two. I give them credit that the place does look cleaner and the pizza does taste a little better, but they don’t understand that they have the highest prices in the neighborhood. To me, they don’t meet the quality or standard I expect, to charge that much more money in Jamaica, Queens.
