I’ve been here several times before. Café Energy is actually the annex of the restaurant, Rincon Salvadoreno. They specialize in salads, wraps, sandwiches, smoothies, natural juices and energy bars & drinks. I had a custom-order salad and a smoothie for lunch. I tend to come here when I feel I’ve been having too much processed or unnatural food, and my body craves something more healthy. It’s a little bit pricey for what it is, but its good stuff!

Food was good but the service was bad, I was given the price of my order over the phone and then when they delivered it was a significant amount more than my quoted price. Never again will I order from here, NEVER!!!

This is the only place in the area with healthy options, I go here every time I’m around! Buffalo Chicken wrap is my fave! Also, the small staff that they have has always been really great to me

First of such options in this part of Jamaica with a sea of fast food options and dive food joints. Gentrification Is coming. Fresh made to order salads with a variety of smoothies with option of almond milk for smoothies. Reasonable price good variety of fresh-ingredients. Also nice sample of prepackaged organic sweet and salty snacks. I had salad of mixed greens with BBQ chicken avocado cucumber tomatoes onions with raspberry vinaigrette for $ 7.50 large size. At first I thought they were skimpy with salad additions but they had layered them in. Was so full barely could finish salad. Only 2 complaints were I was not a fan of BBQ seasoning on chicken and even though I was first customer they took forever to get salad out. Granted look like they were still setting up everything when I got there at 9:40 am but hey don’t open your doors if you aren’t ready for customers. Also tiny space is not particularly cute. Looks more like your classic bodega deli than a salad or smoothie place. Might be nice to spruce it up. No real spot to eat. One tiny table. So mainly for take out although it’s right across from Rufus park so easy option to eat in the park. Not far from court house either so if you are on jury duty and want some healthy eats options come here. I am coming back to try smoothie with almond milk and another salad when I am in a salad mood. They have sandwiches too. Unfortunately no gluten free bread options yet. Tip: The Café Energy sign is on the doorway of next door horrible restaurant Rincons so it seems like you have to walk through Rincon to get to the back of deli. But there is a Café Energy street entrance door next to Rincon that is unmarked.

late late late late late late I don’t think these guys ever deliver on time. Today however warranting my 1 stars is because it took over 2 hours to arrive on time. They gave us a hard time about using a cc card. Had to pay cash. Yes it was snowing but we ordered at 1:30 and delivered at 4:00 pm. I mine as well gone out and gotten something. my wrap was great and I bought for my whole staff but really it’s lost in the horrible customer service. The icing on the cake was one drink was spilled so the delivery guy is like OHTAKE A $ 1– off. lolol. I was laughing so hard. your over 2 hrs late and take a dollar off for a spilled drink. Its ok buddy keep your dollar. Next time i’ll make sure I ordered 3 hours ahead so it comes on time.

Tasty smoothies; good food and wait time is not too long and very reasonable prices. For the people complaining about the décor next door where they seat you its because its a salvadorean restaurant. the place has a tropical Latin feel to it. Just like when you go to a Thai or whatever ethnic restaurant you see décor according to they’re country and culture same story here. Oh and if you decide to try some salvadorean food get the pupusas and I promise you won’t be dissapointed :)

Décor a bit much for me even though I love plants and flowers. Just doesn’t look professional. My smoothie was fine and so too was the service. Ladies, the guys behind the fresh food bar are super cute! Arrrmmm YES, this helps. Serve me the men, hold back on the shrubs and trees! The End.

So this review is very long overdue. I want to want to like this place. But almost every single time I order I get stressed out. At first the problem was the delivery it would take forever. Sometime more than an hour when we would call to check on the delivery the guy over the phone never apologized. Next we tried walking there and just picking up the phone and found that to be a lot better we would be in and out. However today was a different story. I called in the order and told them I would come pick it up. Fifteen minutes later I get there and the food was not ready. When I tell them that I called in an order that’s when they decide to prepare everything. Now mind you there are like 5 or 6 people behind the counter but it was so chaotic and disorganized back there that I’m surprised they are even still in business. Now I wouldn’t mind so much the wait it’s the fact that the guys behind the counter are completely unaware of how to do anything. The least they could do when the mess up an order is apologize. Now I understand why people continue to keep going there. Being that the area is Jamaica it is the only place to get healthy food but I just can’t continue to be annoyed or not know what to expect every time I place a lunch order.

Café Energy is a pretty decent place to go for a healthier alternative in this area. I am a big fan of toss salads and let’s just say, I have better toss salad elsewhere(just not around this area, unfortunately). I usually come here with my co-worker during lunch to get our salads. The ingredients of the vegetables are decent quality, therefore the salad is inexpensive which is not bad. There’s a line here time to time. To avoid it, you can order online and pick it up. If you order there or order online, make sure all the ingredients you checked off are there, especially the avocado– they are very considerate of you to add the avocado in last so it doesn’t get smashed in your salad. I have caught them forgetting my avocado once or twice, so make sure it’s in there. I would avoid the panini and smoothies overall… because they are expensive and not worth your money. My co-worker, who has sensitive taste buds even saw them pour at least half cup of apple juice with little amount fruits in his berry smoothie. He said he would not pay so much for just apple juice after he saw them did that. Overall, Café Energy is a decent place to grab a salad considering the lack of healthy alternatives here.

Are you kidding me? The only reason this place has moderately decent reviews is because nearly every other place to eat in the area is just slightly better than a latrine. Did they tell you something would be ready in 5 minutes? That means 25 minutes. Did you order your lunch at 2:15? That’s nice, maybe you’ll get it at 4:30pm, as I witnessed when I was there and a customer was outraged. I will give credit to the guy, Tony, who tried to figure out what happened at settle the issue, though. The service here is crappy, and there’s one big older white dude who has the cockiness of an owner that wears the crown of crappy service. You can try ordering food, but you’ll be lucky if they have it. I was with one friend who tried to order three different things, but they were out. The third item, they didn’t tell her they were out of until we waited nearly twenty minutes for it to be done. The only reason she found out was because she asked. Again, are you kidding me? The only reason this place gets any stars is because it’s the only one of its kind around that offers freshly pressed juices made to order. I do suspect they use some canned/bottled juice for some of the fruit components, but I can’t say for sure until I watch them make another one with something out of season, like guava. They do have some solid sandwiches and wraps, however. I’d recommend the Southwest Panini with turkey, avocado, monterey jack cheese and pico de gallo. My recent discovery is of the West Coast Wrap, which comes with blackened chicken, bacon, avocado and lettuce tomato chipotle ranch and is served hot. Both items have some spice to it, but are admittedly tasty. Cleanliness of the place isn’t too bad. I highly suggest you call in advance to place your order. If you’re ordering around lunch time, you will be waiting for 30+ minutes.

Great healthy food place to eat! Specially in this neighborhood ! One of my favorite dishes is the portabelo panini! Then i top it off with a beets cucumber spinach natural juice. The staff is also very polite. There is a small area to eat if you desire to. Other than that is mainly a takeout spot. It has recently been renovated. Very nice salad selections.

Gotta give respect where it’s due for this healthy café and restaurant in Jamaica. I had one of the best Panninis of my life here, and also had some fancy ass coffee drink that was incredibly tasty and necessary on a 5 degree day. There is plenty of seating if you want to eat-in and they serve you directly at your table. Definitely will come back again, it’s one of the top food spots in Jamaica. Also I overheard one of the customers complimenting the owner on how amazing their smoothie tasted. They also accommodate large groups and parties, which is rare for that area and that type of establishment.

Friendly staff, not too crowded, great green juice options and reasonably priced. I think I paid $ 5 or $ 6 for a decent sized juice with kale, apple, celery, ginger, and lemon. Their salads look good here too. No iceberg lettuce here. They have green leaf lettuce and spinach and a stocked salad bar. Looking forward to trying that. I hope more people go and give them good business because we need more places like this in Jamaica!

I love this place as it’s the only truly healthy food option near work. They make great chopped salads with a very decent selection of greens and toppings. I’ve also had a grilled veggie panini that was quite tasty. I tried a bite of a turkey sandwich too and definitely nothing to complain about. I’ve never noticed any food safety problems. They always pull out the blue food prep gloves even if it takes some extra time. They take credit cards over five dollars, which is great since I dislike carrying around cash and change every day just for lunch. There is never a super long line so you can grab your lunch and go. There is seating for eat in next door, and that place is a trip in itself. Kitchy decorations etc. And did I mention the guys inside are super nice. All in all, Café Energy is an awesome place!

O.k. so I have passed by this place on the way to and from the gym. finally had to step inside and have to say the menu selection looked grand. I got the Greek on a platter in which is egg whites, spinach, tomatoes and feta. it was excellent the egg whites were cooked perfectly. Then I said o.k. let me try a smoothie, the guy Mark was super friendly and I asked him to make me anything he wanted to and behold I got a ginger, mango, pineapple smoothie it was great! you cannot always trust what people say but I am definitely a fan and will be back here. we needed a place like this in this neighborhood.

The good her is probably of a healthier nature compared to surrounding vendors. I would frequent this spot on my way from the gym on my way to work, until I personally witnessed one off the guys handle money the register and then attempted to take my wrap off the panini machine. If you can’t show integrity with what can be seen that say allot about what goes on in your preparation process.When. I asked for my money back. I was treated with intimidation and accused of trying to be difficult .No apology from the Manager or the guy that made my wrap regularly. i would caution eating here unless you don’t mind getting sick cause ‘ain’t no body got time for that’
