I went here got a perm now I have long straight burnt gluey dreads completely ruined my hair I wish I could post pics you wouldent believe what they have done

This is my first time using a service such as Smartstyle. I only used it because I received a coupon upon check out of buying groceries. I decided to ask one of the stylist in passing if they did a certain type of hair. She stated that they did Obviously this was off the beaten path but I was curious and not knowing what I was in for. My expectations were that I would walk into this establishment and be treated as if I were going to my own barber across town or something similar. The stylist made me feel welcomed but I think she was a tad bit stunned because they usually don’t get much business for haircut such as what I was requesting. If this is something that they normally don’t cater to then it needs to be specified up front. I think the manager or person in charged needs to have their stylist be more equip with all of the tools necessary to accommodate some one with a certain type of hair. examples would be (better hair clippers, trimmers brush, combs, guards, scissors, straight edge razors, aftershave alchohol etc…) You have to have the essentials as well as a person who is familiar with cutting hair. This is in no way to discredit the stylist but once again there are just certain things I come to expect. I would expect the stylist to ask enough questions to make sure my needs are met and I don’t have to walk outta there raving how awful it is. I did enjoy the wash which was a nice treat. Overall it could def’ be better but please listen to your customer.

Marie is the girl!!! She’s cut my hair the past 2 times and has always done a wonderful job. She doesn’t just cut your hair, she will make sure it’s done right and do it a little it a time so you aren’t unhappy with the length and style.
The facility is very clean and there’s always good specials. The have 2 CHI hair straighteners for 40% off making it about $ 50.
