Very clean store. I was shopping for a baby shower and supplies. They have a wide variety of themes and colors. The staff was polite and new exactly what isle to find things on. Great place to find things for a party. Also they were less expensive than Michaels on certain things.

Why is party stuff so expensive???
Party City almost has a monopoly in Jacksonville. There is one other large party store and all the rest are smaller shops. If you need a wide variety of things for a party, you’ll likely end up here.
They have a decent selection of items, many different party themes. From princess tiaras to an inflatable walker for an over the hill party, you’ll likely find it here. Some stuff is crazy overpriced and you need to shop around. Clearance and sales are usually pretty good. They very rarely have coupons and if they do, it’s usually be email and requires a high minimum purchase — like 20% off $ 70 or more. Don’t forget to check online, you can sometimes find better deals and things not in store.
This store is usually clean and organized. The staff are helpful if you ask a questions. You’ll find them at the register standing there and looking bored.

The store has good selection, but return policy/​customer service has much room for improvement. We bought an Frozen/​Elsa wig for Halloween, and realized that we were not going to use it. We took the unopened wig package back to the store (before Halloween), and were told that it could not be returned (despite the fact that the package label clearly noted that the item was only unreturnable once the package seal was broken). The store attendant suggested that «we try to sell the item on Ebay, because it’s such a hot commodity». We suggested store credit, and were denied that as well. After going back and forth, we were allowed to exchange the unopened wig for same-​value items same-​day. Overally, pretty disappointing treatment. If you’re looking for party supplies and are absolutely certain that you will not need to return any items, then shop here. If you care about customer service and being treated ethically, you should probably look elsewhere.

We ended up returning most of the stuff we bought. This place is closer to our new home, but we made the drive to The Party Shop on Beach Blvd. near Hodges. The Party Shop is much better and worth the effort to go there.

Great little spot to get some cheapy decorations for any party or event you might be throwing!
The isles are big and easy to navigate… and if you sign up for their emails they send quite a few nice little discounts and incentives I will be taking advantage of soon!
If you are looking for a certain color theme, they have little favors separated in all the colors of the rainbow, and some cute theme stuff too. Silly little cheap stuff from beads, wigs, funny sunglasses, mask, plates, tablecloths, balloons. costume accessories, and so on and so forth.
They also have the disposable helium tanks, which are essential for me and all my Unilocal balloons!!!
Staff is hit and miss, I had inquired about a rental helium tank and had to wait about 5 minutes for a manager to come out… and only then they let me know I had to return it within 3 days, and that just doesn’t work for me. No biggie though.
World Market is right next door, so that is a cool little perk. :)

I love coming to Party City when planning a party, especially if there is a party theme. There is an incredible selection of novelty type items here. For instance for New Years eve we always have a casual get together for the folks in the neighborhood so no one has to drive anywhere. And to keep folks occupied until midnight we have a poker party played with chips that get turned in for the chip equivalent in raffle tickets. Party city provided really neat Poker themed table accessories, dice shaped candles, cheesy poker wall hangings of Vegas, a fun roulette whiskey shot game, poker themed napkins, plates, cups and they even carry the raffle tickets needed for prize redemption!
Plus they carry platters, glasses, chafing dishes and every color of streamer and matching table cloth. Great party accessory store!
