Million Nails & Spa

Made an appointment next door going for a specific look that really wasn’t very complicated. The salon next door didn’t have a soft pink or a clear sparkle polish. Walked next door to Million and needed 10 minutes just to decide between the 5 different soft pinks and 3 clear sparkle polishes that they had. I ended up going for gel as well as a full set and a classic pedicure.
Kevin did my pedicure, massage and sugar scrub was nice, although it was just the basics so it would be a little more difficult to mess it up.
Julie did my nails. Both working at the same time beginning my full set in the pedi chair and then moving over to her nail table. She helped me pick out the perfect color and sparkle to match what I was looking for. Gave me a suggestion for the «coffin» shaped nail but I declined and kept my rounded nail. I love the work she did and she was honest and nice. Offered eyebrows and I did them since I was already spending I figured I might as well. Julie was nice everyone was friendly. I would recommend going to her again. Nails seem pretty much exactly what I asked for, perhaps excluding the roughness on the edge of a couple of my nails that could have been filed down under and around the tips.
All in all. Glad I took the time to walk next door and choose million instead of the othe salon two or three doors down.

Meh. Overrun with people. Kind of a mill. I got my eyebrows threaded and she hurt me – I mean she tore my skin. I can always tell when someone knows how to thread and she didn’t.

So I came back here after a long hiatus from this place, and I see exactly why I left! I’m not one of those whiny a-​hole customers that picks at everything you do. I honestly have never given a bad review on here. I got a bad taste in my mouth after one small request was denied. Let me go into detail so you can fully understand my frustration… I came in for a pedi and a fill, nothing big. Sat down in the pedi chair. At first they were going to do my nails and toes at the same time, but it started to pick up and understandably the nail tech had to do someone else’s pedi. Not a problem. Ok. My request was so itty bitty, I wanted a clear gel topcoat over my regular nail polish after my fill so that the color will hold a little longer. The lady told me real short «heh, we don’t do that.» Now I’m the customer, you can explain to me your reasonings why I shouldn’t, and even tell me it will cost more, and it should be up to me to continue with it. Even then, I wasn’t mad enough to write a review because I have gel topcoat at home, and I clearly put it on myself when I got there. What really really made me angry was when I moved to her nail station (she ended up doing my pedi and fill) and she proceeded to talk about what I wanted to the girl next to her. Now they were speaking whatever language they speak, but I heard «gel» «top coat» and «yellowing» along with a snarky giggle… Ok I actually know that a gel topcoat can yellow over time, sure if you wait too long it will, but I get it done all the time elsewhere so I know that! You don’t have to get nasty like I’m stupid. While she was putting on my regular top coat she was smiling, giggling and thought she was being cute «you like it?»… Smile and giggle at this PUBLIC review! I still tipped her decent because I’m not a nasty person, but I will NEVER come back! I live on this side of town and I don’t recommend this place at all! So if you’re coming from out of town at the airport, pick another salon in the area because this place has some rude people! Her name was Cindy by the way! I hope she thinks this is funny too!

I went with my mom to this place for the first time. I enjoyed my manicure & pedicure so much. But not so much for my mom. She re-​polished her nails herself at home. Very efficient service. Will come again.

Nice not expensive got a spa pedi and mani combo for $ 35 plenty of staff maybe a 10 minute wait. Very clean establishment

I’ve been to a few nail spas but this is the first one that does the manicure and pedicure y’all the customer is still in the massage chair. Do you know how convenient it is when I don’t have to get up and switch stations?!

Overall the atmosphere was nice, but I was disappointed they had 2 techs working my hands and feet at the same time. I opted for the deluxe spa pedi and the treatments were also nice but would have been more enjoyable if my mani was done separately. I was also disappointed because they messed up my big toe by filing the top and causing ridges on the nail bed. In the end the polish was not smooth. A good tech would have buffed my nail a bit more to smooth it out. The manager came over and asked me to come back the next day and she’d have it repaired by someone else that knew how to fix it. Unfortunately, I have to fly out tomorrow so I went a couple doors down to have it fixed and I’ll bring the receipt back when I’m back in town to be reimbursed (which was the other suggestion the manager had). I can’t completely blame them for rushing because I didn’t have an appointment and they were trying to work me in, which I do appreciate but it wrecked the overall relaxing experience I was expecting for $ 85 of services. I’m up in the air thinking time was the real culprit here. I’d like to go back and make sure the services are done separately and see if my experience is better.

A friend wanted to get pedicures here before going on our mini vacay so I agreed, I was in dire need of one. She suggested this place and while it wasn’t the place I normally go to she assured me it’s nice. Walking in, the place was awesome-​looking. Very clean and semi-​busy. Glad we went in an hour after they opened. We both sat next to each other in the pedicure chairs and chit-​chatted with each other and another lady across the aisle. One guy was working on my friend’s feet and I waited awhile for my pedicurist. When he came got right to work on my feet but I believe he said something to the other pedicurist when he saw my toes as he looked over as well. They aren’t ugly or anything but I have «baby toe nails». I wasn’t offended, I just thought it was unnecessary. He did a good job with my pedicure and things went smoothly. He offered to do my eyebrows as well and knowing that I needed them tamed I went ahead and said sure. He did them pretty fast and I liked the result.
I’m not sure that I’d come back to this place as I rather have my hands and feet done at one time, but it was a good experience as a whole.

When I went in the door from the first Hello I was impressed. Everyone there was happy, the layout of the salon and the cleanliness was top notch. I had gone somewhere and had extension eyelashes put on. I kept going back and getting repairs every few days and they still looked awful. So I decided to just take them off. So I got eyelash extension removal solvent and baby oil and tried gently to remove them. One of my eyes I pulled all my lashes out! The other eye only had a few. I was in terrible place because when it comes to vanity I’ll be the first to admit that that is one of my many sins. Christina was very knowledgeable about eye lashes. She made my lashes look so natural and light. I don’t even know their on. She uses a different way of removing the lashes so you don’t lose any of your own and if you pulled them out like I did the way she places the extensions lets your natural lashes grow back. She was wonderful! I doubt you will find anyone better. Emily did my pedicure. It was the best one I’ve ever had!

This was my 1^st trip to this nail place & I am more than pleased with the experience. I feel pampered to the max. Had a pedi & mani with James, who is amazing! No pressure for additional services, just took his time to make me feel relaxed and pampered. I loved the results of the pedi & the shelac mani. Beautiful job! I had lash extensions done and also with amazing results. Christine (I apologize if I got the name wrong) is an artist and very concerned that she does the best for her customers. I have had extensions done for over 7 years now, and her work is by far the most flattering, and the most stunning results I have ever received. I couldn’t be more pleased. A full day of pampering was reasonably priced and the customer service was nothing short of 1^st rate. This is my new salon of choice.

Wanted to love this place based on some of the reviews, but I found it just mediocre. The salon itself was very big and inviting. The tools used were fresh for each customer. I just wanted a manicure, so apparently I went to the back of the line. Or they take regulars first. People who arrived after me were helped before me. The man who did my nails was competent, but he was clearly distracted. During the entire manicure, he was speaking (in Korean) to another employee. Maybe it’s okay if you go during a slow period. I’m not going back.

It’s my new favorite nail place. It’s huge and very pretty inside. Lots of polish choices that u can even buy which is pretty cool. Sitting down in that comfy chair felt so nice and they offer u a beverage. I got the deluxe pedi and it comes w a scrub, hot wax and towels. Very nice. I got a design on my toe and she did an amazing job. We did a gel polish on my nails instead of acrylic to help strengthen them. She was very fun w picking the right color and conversation. Lastly I got an eyebrow wax. Finally someone gave me thinner eyebrows. It’s been like pulling teeth (not hairs) to get my eyebrows done right in fl. They offer many waxing services along w eye lash extensions. Also they have a VIP club. When u earn 250 points u get 15 bucks off. Also 20% in your bday and entered to win drawings. Will def b back.

So, this is my second review. I will still go to Million Nails & Spa for pedicures but they recently screwed me when i got my nails done. I have only had them done once before at another salon so I went with their recomendation this time and got Acryllic overlay instead of Gel polish overlay like I did the first time. This is over my real nails mind you. It was $ 20 more than the gel polish but they were adament that it was alot better for my nails (ha I’m sure they had a good laugh at me later.) Well they ruined my nails. The girl that usually does my pedis was there when I got them off and said I shouldn’t have done it, too bad she wasn’t there when I got them done!

Charlie, the nail tech who helped me, put me at ease from the start, drawing me out by asking questions. I don’t always feel at ease around strangers. He was meticulous in getting my nails just right. I chose the gels and honey they last forever! I went with my daughter and after our manicures we had the deluxe pedicure! Heavenly! That fits the experience to a tee! Jamie did my pedicure as well as the hot rock massage, hot towel wrap, and individual toe massage! Lol! I had a lost a toenail in a little accident several weeks before so he took care of that for me and made my feet look very pretty. Lizi and I sat side by side in special chairs that massage as your setting there getting your pedicure on. We laughed alot and enjoyed ourselves so much. I say give this place a try as soon ad possible!

I have had more mani pedi’s than you can imagine! I’ve had them in CA, the UK, Turkey, OKC, SC and now FL.
These dogs have been in hibernation since Nov 09… just over the last warm weekend, they were in shock because I wanted to put them in sandals and go outdoors! No, No!!! The feet were trying to find some shade or warmth from thick winter socks. Not until I vowed to get a pedi! So off to the local shopping center near the house. Have I tried ALL of the salons in the local area the last two years since moving here. All except one.
Here are the Pro’s:
a. Jamie: Jamie does strictly pedicures. That means he is skilled in foot massages, parrafin wraps, etc. He is very thorough on the feet!
b. Choices: Did you know there are 3 pedi’s? $ 24, $ 30 and $ 35. The $ 35 includes: parrafin, hot towel wrap, an excellent foot massage and hot rock massage! HOT ROCKS? Can you say, «Yes, please?»
c. Customer Service: Jamie is totally focused on customer’s needs. He spoke very highly about his other customers who’s feet he’s serviced and how much he enjoyed their company. Jamie takes appointments, he says, as he kept up a conversation during my hour long stay.
d. Communication: How refreshing that a nail salon, who employs Asians, have an English speaking policy??? Did I feel included? Did the other customers around me also? Yes to both! This is the first salon that I’ve been to here in Jacksonville that has this policy, and it s a good one! Its all balled up in those two words: Customer Service.

CONS:
a. I have only one… I did not get the parrafin on my feet. It was an oversight, tho, and I’m sure if I mention it to Jamie the next time I go in, that he’ll remember to do the parrafin treatment.
I still give the salon 5 out of 5 stars.
This is a full service nail salon and other services are offered. Prices are comparable to other salons.
Décor is fresh as this store is brand new.
Recommendations: Book an appointment with Jamie!!!
