I recently took my first formal yoga class at lotus yoga and it was awesome! I’ve done yoga before but in informal settings like at home or at employee team building trainings. Of course this was a world of difference, and I was pretty nervous walking in based on my limited knowledge on yoga and lack of experience. Rhonda was the teacher and she was great. She made me feel very welcome, and calmly and casually provided me with pointers during the class. She definitely made me feel relaxed and not like a newbie invading the space of pros. The class lasted about 90 minutes, and I definitely broke a sweat and was feeling my muscles working hard. The room the class took place in was really nice – hardwood floors with big open windows and calming music in the background. The drop in rate for classes is $ 15, but after the class was over I decided to buy a 6 pack of classes for $ 66, and she incorporated this first class into the 6, saving me some money. Bonus – they provide a second class free of charge to new customers, so it really works out to be $ 66 for my first 7 classes. I’m not sure how this compares to the cost of other yoga dens, but the combination of the instructor and the environment makes me feel like the money is very well spent!

Bonnie and Bethany are amazing! This studio embraces the true spirit of yoga the classes are ashtanga based and incorporate the breath and adjustments throughout. I’ve done yoga throughout the country and can confidently state that this is hands down my favorite place.

I’ve been to a lot of yoga studios in Jacksonville, and this one is the best. Not only is it the best in town, but I genuinely believe it could hold it’s own in any major city in country. Lotus is more than a studio — it feels like a community. Most importantly, the teachers are knowledgable at yoga and are sure to take care of you. If you’re looking for a studio in Jax, this is the place to be.
