Stopped here after checking Unilocal since I had a hankering for baba ganoosh. They were pleasant and informative… gave me a little background info. More importantly the Baba was delicious! Good blend of smokeyness garlic and lemon. — Picked up some Baklava for dessert as well — also delicious. This was my first time there, but I will go back. Clean, courteous and delicious! Thanks Unilocal

I had an opportunity to visit Droubi’s for a late lunch. The menu on the wall is reserved for their drink offerings. I wasn’t in the mood for a smoothie, but will try one another day since a few items caught my eye. Their food offerings were available on a paper menu by the register. The owner pointed out that some of the prices on the menu were blacked out because the printing company put the wrong prices down. New menus are in the process of being printed and will be available soon. I ordered grape leaves as an appetizer and a gyro sandwich as my main dish. The grape leaves were smaller than what I’m used to, but they were still good. Unfortunately, the tzatziki sauce was too thin and watery for my liking. I would like for Droubi’s to thicken the sauce so it won’t run off the grape leaves. Instead of the lettuce and tomatoes I’m used to seeing on my gyros, Droubi’s uses banana peppers and fresh herbs. A little different than what I’m used to, but still very good. My gyro was very filling and could have easily been used for two meals. I was unaware that my gyro came with chips, so I was happy to see a bag of Lays when I opened my to-go container. I’m not sure if other chips are available, and will be something I ask when I go again. My first visit to Droubi’s was a great experience and I look forward to returning for a smoothie and another meal.

I really like this place and hope for it’s success. My daughter and I came here for coffee and a treat on Friday. We both had iced coffee, a latte and a Vietnamese coffee. My daughter preferred the latte, said the other had a bitter aftertaste. I don’t agree with her. Both were good, but still rather average for iced coffee. On the other hand, the saving grace(and what gives it a 4th star for me) was the baklava. I had tried their walnut version before and loved it, and this time we tried the pistachio baklava. It was perfection. The nut meat was finely diced, the phyllo was buttery and crisp, but the honey? I don’t know what kind they used but it was light and almost flowery in taste. Sometimes baklava can be too sicky sweet, but not Droubi’s. This stuff was heavenly. Their lunch menu looks really interesting and I’ve seen other’s pictures of the meals here. I am definitely returning to try the food. Hopefully soon.

WOW. Is all I can say. I had a chai latte.(To die for) boyfriend had the iced latte(awesome) we split some spinach pies…(Absolutely mouth watering) then for dessert the nutella roll… O.M.G. it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Not too much. It was a moist cake drizzled with their homemade nutella sauce cut into little pieces. I’m not usually one to finish my desert but let me tell you I was not leaving a crumb of this beauty behind. This was our first time here and by far will not be the last time. Sorry Starbucks but we will not be returning to you anytime soon.

I’ve visited only twice and both experiences were amazing! I love the smoothies there. I had the Gabriel the first time(which is a really fresh minty tasting smoothie and a little tart) and the second time I got the Romeo(which tastes like strawberries and roses and is so amazing! And a little more on the sweet side). They were both delicious! The owner is very nice and friendly. He made great recommendations on what to get based of what I said I like/wanted. Overall, really nice little shop with really yummy smoothies! I highly recommend stopping by. I would definitely go there a lot more often if I lived closer!

Droubi’s is delicious. It’s a new business on King St… The drinks are simply amazing! I always choose the Angry Avocado with a shot of espresso in it! I am hooked. Check this place out, and support local businesses!

This is a new hidden treasure on the popular strip of King and college. The owner makes everything himself(right down to the baklava and flan). He has a creative list of smoothies and will substitute or make anything you crave. He also has falafel, hummus, and a other yummy savory dishes. Truly worth a trip inside the almost hidden light blue door(next to tattoo shop).

A few weeks ago I met two friends here for lunch and split a large salad, a large smoothie, and two of the pita pizzas. It was absolutely incredible food. Everything was so delicious. The smoothie was to die for! Sweet and tangy, with a hint of mint. The salad was super refreshing and light. The cheese in it was amazing, and the dressing was light. The pita pizzas were so savory. The prosciutto was a great touch. Absolutely 100% will be back again. And again. And again!

This place is a fantastic little café that serves the most wonderful coffees, teas, unique sweets, healthy(& unhealthy: P) smoothies, luscious desserts, homemade hand pies, authentic hummus, hazelnut fudge, parfait and many unique items on their menu. It’s kinda’ hidden on King Street row between restaurants & bars, but if you’re in the area… I highly recommend stopping in for a visit to sample their offerings. The owners are friendly, welcoming and very creative. So much quality goes into their food and they let me sample most of the items I listed above and I was pretty impressed. So yummy. Overall, this place has great customer service in a nice clean space with a fun & varied menu. Awesome change from your average coffee house served with a twist.

Great intimate shop on King Street, across from the beer juggernaut Kickbacks. It has all sorts of Turkish pastries sand sweets, as well as healthy smoothies. The front case only had a tiny bit of what’s in the back cooler. So if you don’t see it, ask for it and it may be there. Everything is made to order, so be prepared to wait to get exactly what you want.

OK. .. I don’t usually plop down five stars for a first visit but I wouldn’t do justice any other way. I don’t even know where to start. The grub: I had a chai latte, a spinach pie and a piece of fudge. The chai latte did not need any additional doctoring from me. It was delicious. The pie was wonderful. I can’t even explain what the cheese, spinach and flaky crust did to my taste buds. LOVELY! And the fudge. I was not going to order sweets for about 200 plus size reasons(there’s a Lane Bryant frequent shopper who understands what that means) but the owner insisted and I’m so glad he did. It was fantastic! Very light literally melting in my mouth. SERIOUSLY! I have a certified sweet tooth affectionately known as the ORIGINAL Willie Wonka but I am not a huge fudge fan because it’s just too heavy. NOTTHECASEATALL! The spot: It was an intimate store with outlets, free wi-fi, and a huge window for people watchin’ while workin’. What more can you ask for? The service: The owner is an absolute gem! He’s seems like a genuine nice guy plowing chunky customers with decadent fudge, filling baby water bottles for passers-by, chatting with children, and greeting folks walking along the walkway outside. What’s left? Want more? Come visit and write your own review. You won’t be disappointed. Nutshell: This is my first time but not my last time here.

Be sure to get a smoothie and try the macadamia nut cookies! Interesting mix between a bakery and smoothie shop. Mad cool owner and great products on the menu. Nice chill spot after grabbing some dinner.

The newest and most charming little surprise on King Street. The couple that run it are warm and very welcoming. Excellent Brazilian coffee and fresh fruit smoothies along with an array of desserts, fruit salads and ice creams. Sandwiches too! They are also open fairly late in the evening.

I needed a caffeine fix, and found this place on Unilocal… it’s a small shop, really nice owner. I got an iced mocha & cheese hand pie(deceptively awesome!) for breakfast. He also gave me a slice of their Droubi’s fudge — really, really good — its more like a dark chocolate candy bar that fills that need for something sweet & chocolate without being cloyingly sweet. Wish I lived in the area!

What a perfect little place to pass by when I’m in the mood for sweets! My husband and I were actually looking for Sweet Theory after leaving Carmine’s, but I passed the tattoo shop and saw this neat little place on the end. I kind of thought to myself out loud«Ooh, look at this place, what is it?» and I stepped back to see if the building had a name on the top to see what it was called(could’ve been Sweet Theory for all I knew”. A gentleman from the tattoo proceeded to tell us it was a new coffee shop with pastries and such. I was craving sweets, so I went in. I saw muffins, ice cream, zebra cake, etc. I asked the guy who was in there(think he may have been the owner) what they had and he told me they had just opened today, but people seemed to like their fruit mix. Looked good to me so I ordered it. It was about $ 5.50 + tax, but it was just what I needed! He let me have my choice of fruit and ice cream, then put frosted flakes, chopped kit kats, and drizzled it with Nutella. Simple, but delicious. He and the other lady that helped us were super nice and their little shop is just so cute. They just opened up today, but I already like how down-to-earth they are. Stop by and give them a try! :)
