I have been going to Sherry’s for almost 3 years, it had been a long time since my last visit and my regular stylist had left and after a boxed color catastrophe turned the top half of my hair orange I went to the salon in a panic and Cliff was there help. I cant say enough about Cliff! He did a wonderful job giving me highlights to break up the orange, you couldn’t even tell what had I had done to my hair. I have been back to him again to get touched up and again he didn’t disappoint, he also did a great job with the cut. He’s kind and remembers our previous conversations and I have enjoyed having him as my new stylist.

The BEST colorist is at this salon. Her name is Kasey and se truly is a talented stylist. I have been to some of the the top rated salons in the country in NY, Chicago and Miami, and truly Kasey is just the best … Do your hair a favor n go See her… tell her Robin Anderson sent you

I usually don’t write reviews, but I was so disappointed with my experience here that I just had to. I don’t get the chance to get my hair done in a salon very often. I probably go once a year. I help take care of my mother and family on a small income and don’t have much money to spend on things like getting my hair done.
I wanted to do something special for my mother, so I decided I’d take us out to get our hair done as a special treat. When I arrived, i inquired about getting highlights done and the receptionist said there wasn’t enough time. I heard this and got worried, so I specifically asked ahead of time if my hair cut would be rushed. The receptionist assured me it would not be, do I decided to go get a cut and «style» that cost $ 50.
Julie took me back to cut my hair while she was waiting for another client’s hair-​coloring to be processed. She did a rushed job, didn’t do anything I asked her to do with the cut, and hardly blow-​dried my hair before sending me on my way to tend to her other (obviously more important) client. It would be one thing if I hadn’t asked ahead of time, but I was assured that my hair cut would not be rushed. It made me feel awful. I paid $ 50 to be treated like I didn’t matter and get a basic trim (which is NOT what I asked for). She didn’t do anything I asked her to do and made up her mind that what I asked for wouldn’t look good, when really, she just couldn’t afford the time. It was unprofessional and rude. This was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had at a hair salon.
I hope I’ll have a better experience next year when I have the money again to treat myself to a salon.

I have been here 3x and each time I’ve seen Betty. She is wonderful and always listens to what I want done. It’s hard to go to a colorist for blonde (since moving from LA I’ve been to 4 other salons), and she is a great colorist.
I appreciate her making me feel comfortable and doing an awesome job on my hair and NOT charging me a fortune!

I’m very generous with that one star. Let me start by saying that I always give a place a chance regardless of the reviews. Up until this place, I’ve had positive experiences. First impression was a nice, clean place. Next, I asked for highlights and a lighter base color. Julie Lynn darkened my roots, added one color lighter on my tips, then told me «you just need to buy a wig!» She was rude, condescending and loudly bad mouthed people the entire time I was there. Cost me $ 90 & has to be redone. My husband was in the waiting area the entire time. He said employees were whispering and gossiping like crazy. *DO NOT GO HERE!* save your $ and keep looking sunshine!

Very professional. I love the appointment reminder text feature. Also the intimacy of how the salon is designed.

Recently moved here to Florida. Thought I would check this salon out due to good Unilocal reviews and a current groupon special for new customers… so glad I did! Warm, inviting and clean salon. Everyone was helpful from calling to make an appointment to the front desk to my stylist– Madison. She was WONDERFUL! she took the time to truly listen to my wishes of style/​hair coloring I was looking for and I LOVE the results. Within minutes of having a conversation with Madison I felt confident with her doing my hair. She was very meticulous in her work and would recommend others to see her too!

So I’m new in jax so I was hesitant to where I should go to get my hair done. I found this salon on groupon and they were one of the most bought out salons WITH great reviews about specifically Betty. So fingers crossed I went in terrified as to how everything will turn out because I’ve had bad past experiences with new hair stylists. Betty turned out to be very polite showing me excellent customer service she even offered me everything they had to drink and asked if there’s anything else I needed, I mean who asks anymore now a days if you want a certain beverage, not many ill say that because I’ve been at quite a few and no one cares they just want to get you in and get you out before there next client. Betty was very easy to get along with and within just minutes of being there I felt very comfortable with her and confident with her doing my hair. She did everything possible to make me feel comfortable, making sure I had everything I needed, and put the best products into my hair making sure it would be perfect. In the end I was so satisfied with my highlights and hair cut, my hair is everything I imagined and on top of it all it feels so light and fresh WITHOUT it being short (she actually kept my length long how I like it unlike a lot of stylists that chop it off when you ask for a LITTLE trim) overall she is amazing at her work she’s been at it for over 20 years so who better to trust then someone with so much experience. Sweetest young lady everyone should go to her because she will put your needs first and make sure you leave satisfied and relieved that you went to her. Thanks to Betty I feel like myself again but better it’s been much needed to freshen up my look again. I would give her 10 stars if I could:)

If i could put zero stars i would. I was PREVIOUSLY in love with this salon, I had my hair colored multiple times but yesterday I left in tears. I went in for simple highlights a caramel color as i am natural brunette and hate the over processed blonde look. The stylist i was booked with I cannot name due to her emailing me and threatening to sue me, and let me tell you to start she was the most UNPROFESSIONAL person i have ever met, regardless of what she did to my hair which i will get to she proceeded to tell me all about her «man» basically her fuck buddy named ricco who lives in Colorado… I DON’T CARE, just color my hair please. I was there for a total of 5 hours and am in the process of calling all hair salons in Jacksonville to see who if anyone can fix my hair. The first round of coloring left my hair DARKER than i went in there with, when i told her of my disappointment she said «you don’t always get what you ask for» — excuse me was my response so she ran and got the manager. The manager proceeded to be very snobby like i wasn’t good enough to be at her hair salon, mind you the hair salon that just completely messed my hair up. After i explained to the manager what happened and showed her the image i brought in she told the stylist to redo it, so she tried to lighten it by removing toner which did NOTHING, after that she decided to add yet more color back under the dryer i went… as i’m sitting in there she comes and adds more color — why? I don’t know! Hours and more applications later i left with HALF BROWN HAIR AND THE «HIGHLIGHTS“WHITE. I have never been more angry or upset. Now that my hair is way over processed I am stuck until it is somewhat healthy enough to recolor. THIS SALON IS NOT WHAT IS USED TO BE. Staff and the management are completely rude.

This salon is amazing !! Great atmosphere and very friendly and polite staff. I even used a Groupon and they treated me like a regular. I am extremely cautious on who I let touch my hair. When I came to this salon I instantly felt comfortable. My stylist had been doing hair for over 25 years. Her name was Betty and she does superior work. She was very polite and checked up on me a lot. I got low lights and she asked if I wanted to do a test strip first which really impressed me… She really took her time and I did not feel rushed at all. She seem to really care about my hair as well because she used the wet brush on my hair after she rinsed my hair out instead of a regular brush that would break my hair. Usually the stylists don’t really care about your hair health in my experiences but I could tell she did. I left the salon feeling and looking amazing. I would definitely come back here any day and recommend it to anyone. I’ve had some terrible experiences it is so refreshing to find a salon like this one!

BEST salon in all of Jacksonville and Orange Park! I’ve been going to Sherry for 9 years now and I’ve never once had a complaint! She’s extremely talented, sweet and patient! She’s been doing hair for 20+ years and her expertise shows! The other stylists and staff are amazing as well! Bethany, Karen and Mary are awesome! My children come here as well and they love the special treatment they receive and have been receiving since birth!
I tried other salons to try and «save money» but in the end came right back to Sherry!
You truly do «get what you pay for!»
They have a large selection of top of the line products at great prices!

Terrible. They have great products available to buy (it’s hard to find the full Moroccan Oil line anywhere) but their customer service is below par. The staff is very rude. I have curly hair and it’s always difficult to manage,.which I understand but when the stylist was washing my hair she says loudly «Whoa is your hair always tangly?!» After trimming my hair, I asked her to use the diffuser to dry and she says «That’s an odd request, I don’t have a diffuser but I’ll ask around.» No one in this big place had a diffuser. She came back and said «Well no one really wants that look anymore.» I just left with my hair wet. If you have curly hair, DON’T come here! You’ll only be insulted and disappointed.

Ok I normally don’t give negative reviews. But this one shocked me. I purchased a groupon and had to get my hair cut with Sarah. She is not very trustworthy. She does not like to waste her time on her customers. She is also pretty rude and watch you when you pay to make sure you tip her generously. What kind of human being is that? Overall the experience was horrible. I would not go back again.

I can only give this place three stars, because I have had my hair styled there and an air brush tan done. I bought a groupon online and Keri took care of me. She gave me a great cut and wonderful highlights. She was even great at keeping a good conversation going. If this review was just about her it would have 5 stars. Because of the wonderful service I received for my hair, I thought buying the air brush tanning for my upcoming beauty pageant would be grand, and just as marvelous as my hair. Wrong. Not all of this is the air brushers fault, so bare with me as I go into detail. One bright and sunny day I called and made an appointment for the air brush tanning, the receptionist said I could come in at 2pm. I dropped off lunch for my dear friend and drove straight over to Sherry’s. I called because I was running a few minutes late and wanted to give her a heads up, the receptionist said that was fine because the air brusher was not even there yet. I get there a few minutes after two and she still isn’t there… I waited for another thirty minutes and just as I was about to ask if they could call her, she walks in the door. Apparently no one informed her that she had a 2pm client. Since we didn’t start until 2:45pm and she had a 3pm coming in, she definitely rushed my air brush. One thing I really did like is that she does give the option to do it with a bathing suit or fully nude. I had a pageant in two days, but my tan was a spotted mess and my fingers were completely orange. My face did look really good, but that was about it. I know she would have done a good job if she had more time, but someone dropped the ball on this one. I’ll still with Picasso Day spa to do my air brush tans for up coming pageant at Miss Florida USA.

For the nearly 3 years I lived around the corner from Sherry’s and had my hair cut there. I always had stellar results. Sherry’s been styling hair her whole life, is well in touch with contemporary design and fashion in addition to being a professional to the core. Price is fair and at check in, you’re treated to a visual delight with her sexy receptionist Leigh (almost written the price of admission in and of herself!). I miss the salon dearly. Thanks again ladies!

I purchased a groupon for full highlights and a haircut at Compliments by Sherry, and was really impressed by the great job the stylist did!
The groupon deal was a steal for sure — since the stylist did such a good job — but don’t forget to mention the voucher when booking your appointment as I understood that it only applies to some stylists. I was worried that it would be hard to book an appointment with the promotion going but it was a breeze, I got a Saturday appointment just a few days in advance!

O.M.G!!! Crystal is a miracle worker! I was in Florida for work and after a 6 month deployment I really needed my hair cut and colored… but not just colored, I wanted to go from red to blonde. Crystal worked for hours and was sweet a friendly the entire time. I was a little worried my hair was going to have to be a strawberry blond rather than blond, not with Crystal. She gave me a perfect nature blond and my hair still felt soft and silky afterwards. I highly recommend Crystal!

I just moved here from California and needed a place to get my hair done. My daughter has gone here and used Whitney so I made an appointment. I’m glad I did! Whitney was awesome and very conscientious, I got my hair cut and colored and I love it! I will go back!

Go see Bethany! She has done my hair for the past four years and I completely trust her.
I have curly hair and not just anyone can tame curly hair but she can. She knows how to get the bulk out and how to cut it so it lays well and can get it salon straight.

Compliments by Sherry & Co is a true salon. Offering Hair Care, Massage, Nail Care, Skin Care, Body Treatments, Tanning, Waxing and Makeup. The décor is nicely done and relaxing and the staff is friendly and won’t look down on even the worst of conditions that you can bring your hair in.
My girlfriend uses Katie and loves her. Her color is spot on and the foils added in just the right places. We like that they are just around the corner from us so no driving across town to look beautiful.
