Beer is great, good selection of other breweries beer too. However it seems that unless they know you and you are part of the «club» don’t expect much. Beer snob vibe that rolls out to the customers.
Last time in, about 2:00 on a Friday afternoon, I wanted to get a couple of growlers refilled. The bartender was not thrilled since he barely said anything or even tried to appear interested in helping me. When he finally did grab the growlers I had previously purchased on an earlier visit, and start to fill them. I had to stop him and tell him they were not clean. — What I got was a lecture that they are not responsible for the beer being ruined by dirty growlers. Thanks for the info. Maybe ask me if they were clean since I don’t work there and did not realize they do not clean you growler or exchange like a place that cares what they serve.
The beer is great enough to suffer through poor service.

Awesome place for beer. Constantly changing selection of their own beers and craft beers from around the Country. Very friendly staff and top notch service. I wish I could make it over this side of town more often.

Such a cool spot! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try anything off the menu because we were just passing through doing a beer tasting. I will, however, be back to give it a shot. I saw someone next to me at the bar get the sack of nuts and it looked great! Also, they have a great game room in the back where you can see the beer tanks. I am in complete adoration of the grapefruit sprecher! Definitely my favorite! Bartenders were also great and so helpful with deciding what to try!

Awesome place great beer great food and service were really nice people. I like the music they had playing also I think it was one of those you pick jukeboxes from your phone. The atmosphere was also very chill and entertaining.

I have been working on my #JaxAleTrail passport, and this was the next destination on my list of stamps to acquire. I ordered a Sweetwater Hash Session, which had a hoppy but not overpowering taste. The service was quick, with our beers being served in a matter of seconds. There is a large selection of beers to suit everyone’s taste, and Engine 15 makes their own beers as well. My friend recommended the tomato soup and grilled cheese, so next time I’m here I will be trying them.

Amazing service provided by Jessica. The cuban is 5 star and the Engine 15 beers are full of various but pronounced flavor profiles. It’s been a wonderful experience.

Had a gray day with caleb and Kyle! Knowledgeable of beer so was able to hold a fun conversation about beers around the country! Hey made some great recommends for the other breweries in the area. Ps taco Lou moved next door!

I finally made it to Engine 15! I have been dying to go to this spot, so I’m glad it finally happened!
The restaurant was smaller than expected, but that didn’t bother me. There is also outside seating.
Of course, I went for the Engine 15 Greek Salad, it was delicious & fresh! I know, I know, I should of had a liquid lunch and picked The B-​B-​Cuban, but when there’s Greek Salad on the menu, I have to have it! At least i had my sister with me. Winning!
This place is awesome for the beer lover! Even if beer isn’t your favorite (don’t know how) chances are you will find a beer that you will like here. You have a wide variety of beers to choose from and the staff is helpful and will have recommendations ready depending on your palate.
The service was great and I will definitely be going back soon.

Smelly and underwhelming. The staff was incredibly unfriendly. Beer was not my favorite. But the worst part was the fruit flies and dingy bathroom.

Would definitely go back! The beer is great. The bartenders were personable and explained all the beers! Nice fellas! Food was great. We had pigs in a blanket, chips and beer queso and pretzel and beer queso. So yummy! Fun atmosphere!

I love Engine 15 and they have some great beers! Can’t wait for them to open up downtown so they’re closer!

We enjoyed our visit and appreciated the fact that there are sooo many beers on tap — and some of them were truly great!
Unfortunately, the service was, well, not so good. The fellow behind the bar when we were there might do better in another position. It was rather difficult to have a conversation with him. (We saw the same situation with his interaction with other patrons.)
I’m bettin’ if we were return and had someone else behind the bar help us the score would be better. And we’ll be getting back to JAX within the next couple of months and we’ll try again. I’ll be pleased to revise my review if things are different. :)

Great atmosphere and large variety of local and house brews on tap. They also have a food menu, nothing I would eat– or probably nothing any other vegan would eat (except maybe the pretzel without the cheese sauce). Hey, Engine 15! Get on at least 1 vegan option, that would be really lovely! But other than that this place is rad. Better ambiance than some of the other local breweries in the area. I had the lemon shandy beer and it was fucking delicious. I also bought some house made hot sauce, because at 3 bucks why not? A stocking stuffer idea, perhaps? You’re welcome for that brilliant idea– go pick some up. Who doesn’t love hot sauce? Or just bring em some beer. Because that’s an even better idea.

We never pass up the opportunity to stop by «The Engine» while in Jax. They have a large selection of their own brews and serve many others as well. The prices are awesome and it is absolutely worth stopping in to see their cool spot and enjoy the great selection of beer.

of all the breweries in the area, dont bother coming here. they will be rude to you. they dont have a menu other than the large screens above part of the bar so its difficult to really choose and no one behind the bar is any help. we didnt stick around long enough to try any of the food, and I have no reason Id go back

This is just a cool spot to hang out. They have a great selection of craft brews and, as a recent craft beer proselyte, a staff that can help you on your journey in the land of fermented bliss. They also have bar food that is not what you expect of bar food – it can be a meal that is worthy of the brews you are pairing with it.
One caution, though, get there early! Seating is limited and with food, beer, service, and an atmosphere that are all top-​notch, it is a commodity not often traded after someone sits down!

Great bar! Love their little arcade set up in the back and they’re constantly doing fun things like ladies night with manicures. Follow them on Facebook to get a heads up on activities and special beer nights. I like that they added a better food selection, but let’s be honest. several other food selections just a few steps away means that I’m going to spend my time here drinking and not eating!

Happy to say everything is back to normal here at Engine 15. Had a great time last night with a fun group of friends; after the storm it was nice to sit, enjoy a few beers and catch up.
Enjoyed Engine’s lager, as usual. I love love love tall, frosty glasses of their house brewed beers on a hot, muggy Jacksonville day! Great service with Caleb, delivering it all with a smile. We’ll definitely be back for more of this Engine love!

Located pretty close to the beach, this brewery offers a great selection of craft beer. Some of the beers are their own brews, but many of them are other breweries. Naturally, I had a flight of four of their beers. I had the stout, a couple IPAs, and the J’ville. I wasn’t a fan of that last one because it was plain, but I loved the others.
I munched on a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. The soup was tasty, but that sandwich was GLORIOUS. They also cut bits from the sandwich and turn them into croutons for the soup which was an amazing combination.
I hesitate to give them a 5 because the service was not great, but the actual beer and food was.

Not one of my favourite places I’ve been to with fellow Yeeps. I’m not a beer drinker, so I just had a Mexican Coke. I recently discovered Mexican Coke and I really love it, so I think it’s awesome they offer it here. I also ordered one of the large pretzels that came with beer cheese for dipping. The pretzel was very reasonably priced ($ 3.50 if memory serves correctly), but it was just so-​so. I didn’t much care for the beer cheese b/​c I could totally taste the beer and I really, really don’t like beer. Everyone else said the beer cheese was great, so I’d go with their opinion rather than mine b/​c they are all beer drinkers.
I saw several of my friends ordering the beer flights and I don’t think anyone was disappointed.
I really wasn’t feeling the vibe here and it was really, really hot inside. I’m kinda boggled as to why because it was a nice, cool evening outside. After about 30 – 45 minutes, I finally made my way out to one of the tables outside and that’s where I remained the rest of the time we were there. It wasn’t just hot inside, but it was really stuffy too. I had a much more enjoyable time once I got outside.
If you’re a beer drinker, this place is A-​OK, but unless I have friends that choose this place, it’s not somewhere I’ll go again on my own.
