I went there today and was not impressed with the workers. The worker in charge of the fitting rooms was very rude, she handed me the number card with no smile, no expression, nothing. One of the cashier workers, older blonde woman, was even more rude. She was so unfriendly, didn’t say a word to me besides how much i owed. The store itself was fine, workers… not so much.

This TJ Maxx is located in a shopping mall named Jackson Crossing. It is small but pretty organized however the female front end manager with a lisp isn’t the best. The store itself is pretty clean and for the size has a pretty good assortment of items. The staff at the fitting rooms are always polite and helpful. Theft must be an issue here because they’re very attentive on checking the clothing you take in and out but they’re also very helpful. The name brand items you can get at discount prices is nothing short of amazing at this store. Jordan sweat pants for $ 15, Hilfiger belt for $ 10, name brand colognes for cheap, etc… Check out is slow at this place. Doesn’t matter if it’s Christmas or a slow day in the summer. I think it is more the procedure the cashiers have to follow rather than the equipment or the employees themselves that cause the delays. You can tell it’s been setup by corporate managers to be efficient. There is a bell that goes off and prompts you to a lane when transactions are done however the bell doesn’t go off if the cashier walks away from their register. On this last occasion it was a front end manager and one other cashier manning the registers. The cashier was having difficulty returning an item a couple had brought in because the system didn’t recognize the upc code. They had their receipt but this manager made this poor girl go through all kinds of nonsense that took several minutes while I and another customer patiently waited. Eventually she caved and just allowed her to give the refund without the upc code being in their system but this was after 15 minutes of making this girl type in code after code. When I finally got to the register I’m greeted by the manager who goes into the typical credit card sales pitch. I politely say no. She continues on with a prototypical sales rebuttal. I say nothing. She continues on. I say again I’m not interested. I bought several pairs of pants, a belt, some polo shirts, and a few other random items. As she is ringing them up she places the hangers to the side. I politely ask her if I could keep the hangers for the pants and she abruptly says,“No we reuse these. If you want hangers we have some in the back of the store for sale.” Now I know TJ Maxx is a discount clothing retailer but come on lady I just spent close to $ 300 so a couple of hangers isn’t going to break you and honestly I can’t remember the last time I’ve bought clothes somewhere that the cashier didn’t ask me if I wanted to keep the hangers. Anyways I feel TJ Maxx has some great deals so I’ll go back even with the poor customer service I experienced that day. That manager stunk at customer service but the overall store experience wasn’t bad.

Its a TJ’s. Discount department store. But they are NOT all the same. This one is smaller than many others, but its super organized and clean. Amazingly so. I soooo wanted to buy something, but could not find anything that grabbed me, sadly. But if I lived in this area I would come to this store all the time. It was really nice. Also in this mall are a Kohls, Best Buy, Qdoba, Target, Country Buffet, Sears, some smokeless cigarette place(vapor?) and a bunch of other stores and places to eat. Its pretty spread out so you may have to get in and out of your car, but its got a lot to offer.
