If you happen to be staying at Spring Creek Ranch, definitely stop in for a drink and/or dinner. The view from the restaurant is SPECTACULAR! Windows everywhere and they have an outdoor patio. You have an unobstructed view of the mountains and meadows. It’s Magnificent to just gaze out onto the landscape at sunset. The service was very good. Our server/waitress was helpful in explaining the dishes and the staff made sure we had what we needed exactly when we needed it. The ambiance is quiet.(It was when we were there because there were only like 4 – 5 tables sat at the time and it was just adults enjoying their little piece of heaven quietly.) The food was tasty. They gave us a couple warm rolls to start and we each ordered a salad. For our mains, I enjoyed the salmon and the husband enjoyed the game lasagna. Truth be told… I enjoyed his more than mine. It’s not that my meal was bad… it’s just his was better! I’m not much of a lasagna person, so what I liked about this was that it wasn’t overly cheesy and it wasn’t overly sauced, and there was lots of meat. The meat was marvelous. I loved the blend they used… it was hearty, had good texture(wasn’t soft and mushy) and the flavor was bold but not gamey. It’s a little pricey but not exorbitant by any means. We had a nice bottle of wine also, and our bill before tip was $ 125. But what really shines at this restaurant is The View!

Let me first qualify this review. I’m a Chef and have 26 years experience. Let me just tell you if you haven’t visited the granary lately you absolutely should. This Chef is absolutely a master at combining flavor. I left feeling unequivocally inspired. Inspired to the point of wanting to recreate different elements of the dishes. Whatever they’re paying this Chef needs to be increased. The word will get out and this will be one of the hottest tables to get, mark it. He is killing it in the kitchen! Have you ever had a meal when you start eating it and the flavor captivates you, makes the entire surroundings fade away, you can’t hear or perceive anything going on around you. Only the incredible flavor of the dish? This is his monumental cuisine. It takes a lot to inspire me… Congrats Chef, I salute you and your team tonight!

The best views in the valley. Food that was just extraordinary in its taste, creativity, and presentation. Incredibly well prepared cocktails. Worth every penny. One of the best restaurants of all time on my list(40-year world traveler). GOTHERE!

Absolutely LOVED the breakfasts here. The breakfast burrito was one of the best I’ve had in recent years – loved the salsa verde they served with it, and the little strands of saffron on top – oh, my! The chilaquiles breakfast item was also outstanding and filling. They had TAZO teas and were happy to give me a large hot water pitcher so I could ‘milk’ the experience/view, which is also first-rate. The staff was friendly and I wish I could teleport back for weekend breakfasts!

Got to enjoy several great appetizers and the elk medallions during a recent business dinner. You can’t beat the view, especially at sunset. My favorite apps were the rabbit croquettes(not sure if that was the menu name), the tuna spring rolls, and the tomato and mozzarella skewers. The chicken satay was a little dry. I had the elk medallions entrée and it was extremely tender at medium rare — much better than anywhere else I had elk in the area. Some colleagues had the chicken and stated it could be one of the best they’ve ever had. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and food… I just don’t know what the final bill was, but I’m guessing it was quite expensive.

My husband has a severe allergy to garlic, which most restaurants at home in Seattle either don’t take seriously, or don’t give a damn about. The Granary was completely the opposite – everyone from the general manager to the bartenders to the chef bent over backward to accommodate me and my husband. The service was outstanding; the servers were friendly and down to earth, and the food was exceptional. The elk tenderloin is out of this world. Everything that I tried on the menu was delicious, beautifully presented, and plentiful. The 2 breakfasts that we had were delicious, filling, and quick to arrive. We were staying at Spring Creek Ranch and dined at The Granary probably 5 nights out of 7, and we were never disappointed. I absolutely recommend The Granary. It is truly outstanding.

We only ate breakfast here, as it was included in our package stay at Spring Creek Ranch. The view and service service were great. However, the two meals I ate here were not too impressive. The eggs Benedict was mediocre(not a fan of the Hollandaise sauce) as was the Trout breakfast(breakfast hash was bland). Though, if I stay at Spring Creek again, I’d likely still pay for the Granary breakfast package, as it was convenient to walk over to breakfast and the view of the Tetons is unbeatable.

Gorgeous views and prices to match! Though we had no reservations, the manager was able to squeeze us in. That was nice since we were guests at the resort at $ 450/night. Started with the smoked trout pâté served with pita triangles and bread. Very nice. For dinner, we order the elk tenderloin with Yukon potatoes, seafood pasta, salmon, duck breast, and roast chicken. The elk tenderloin was clearly the absolute star at $ 45. It melted in your mouth! If you go here, THAT is the dish to order! The seafood pasta was also very good. The salmon was good and served with an amazing sauce underneath with collard greens, Brussels sprouts, carrots, asparagus, and cherry tomatoes, which added just a hint of sweetness to the sauce. The salmon was a tad dry though. The sauce was the savior of the dish. The duck breast was ok, a bit tough and chewy for my liking. The roast chicken was nothing special, clearly the oddball dish at the table as it was not of the same caliber. The entrée portion sizes are small but rich so you will have room for dessert. Desserts were really nothing special with selections like fruit tarts, chocolate lava cake, and cheesecake. My chocolate Kahlua crime brûlée was very rich, more like a baked dense chocolate pudding. Overall, the meal was enjoyable with spectacular views of the Tetons. If you order the elk tenderloin, you will be skipping out the door! Service attentive.

Most people will talk about a sleigh ride, or the view during summer. I’m here to tell you to visit this place right after Daylight Savings Time Springs forward in March. Amazing sunset views with snowy mountains. Fantastic view of Jackson Hole Resort and the Teton Mountain Range. Being able to watch the groomers take action on the slopes was a real treat. Now, onto the food. Amazing Food to match the amazing scenery. Top notch service, delicious Elk, and truly reasonable wine prices. Seriously, not the typical 2.5−3x restaurant wine markup prices. While you’ll need to cab or drive to this location from either the town of Jackson or JHMR, it’s absolutely worth it. The drive up is gorgeous as well.

The Elk special was out of this world We ate dinner at the Granary after an enjoyable 45 minute sleigh ride. My husband ordered the elk and I ordered the bison tenderloin. Both were absolutely delicious, but the elk was out of this world. The service was outstanding and the dessert was scrumptuous. The servers were attentive without being intrusive. It was the best meal of our entire trip to Jackson.

My fiancé and I would have to say that we had the best elk(steak) we’ve probably ever had. We decided to go with the elk tips and fondu for our appetizer. This appetizer alone would give the 5 star review. The meat was so delicious and buttery in texture; juicy and full of flavor. This is a must to try. I highly recommend getting reservations during daylight hours/sunset. We didn’t realize this and had our dinner at 7PM. Next time, which there will be a next time, we will go during those hours of operation. Great food, service and drinks… A definite must try.

We should start by saying we actually didn’t eat here in the end — we politely made our excuses and left! The restaurant is a bit stuffy/old fashioned and came across as a bit boring as soon as we walked in… just not the sort of place where you’d look forward to spending the evening… it seems like a lot has been spent on the building, but unfortunately inside it doesn’t have the same ambience… :-( The view is fabulous… the staff were friendly… but the atmosphere was severely lacking and the vegetarian option(singular!) was a pasta and vegetable dish — not very inspirational… as vegetarians we are used to excellent restaurants that have some imagination with their veggie options… There are plenty of other excellent restaurants in Jackson, unless you happen to be stuck up on the hill at the Lodge! ;-)

Wow, the food at this restaurant is just amazing. I got the potato and leek soup which great and the summer vegetable pasta with pesto. My foods were incredible. My husband got the NY strip and loved his as well. All of the food was cooked perfectly and the service was impeccable. We ordered the raspberry and apple cheesecake and it was also amazing. The views are to die for. My husband and I walked over to the Amangani to take some pictures as well. Just incredible views. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a splurge but worth every penny.

First of all I will say the food is excellent. The outside view on the deck is fantastic. Service was ok except for our waiter forgetting part of our order and forgot the appetizer as well. Two stars because the portions were very small. Hardly enough for anyone with an appetite. How can a waiter feel good with bring out an order which looks more like an appetizer. How disappointed I was but will not return if I am hungry. The big draw is the view but with limited seating you may not get the view that you hoped for. You can also do like I did, eat here and go to another restaurant for an appetizer.

Booked the Granery thru Open Table. On arrival, the hostess couldn’t find our reservation but after a few seconds located it. Escorted us downstairs to seat us at a table with an in-window air conditioner blowing on one seat! We declined, and pointed out that a window table had been requested, at which point a manager-seeming person stated that an 8-top had just been vacated and that would be our table, and that we were early(7:55 for an 8:00 reservation). We eventually were seated at a table with a great view. The food was what I would consider average for this level of restaurant. And the service was well below average. Our waiter whisked the wine list away before we had ordered. The butter was removed before the bread was consumed. Our before dinner cocktails were misdelivered. Having eaten at the Amangani Grill the night before, the only way the Granary was better was the view. Ambiance was noisy(2 large groups and a vaulted ceiling contributed) and the manager seemed to keep all service staff off balance. Would we go back? Likely not.

Ate here for breakfast several times while staying at Spring Creek Ranch and once for dinner. The view is fantastic and one of the best of the Tetons. My first impression of the restaurant itself was that it was a little shabby with the caning on the chairs coming off and some were rickety. The staff, especially at breakfast, did not seem to know menu details very well. Eggs Benedict were really good. Huevos rancheros were done differently than most and not so much to my liking. I had a bison rib eye for dinner, and did not really like the mushrooms on top that were partially cooked in wine but not not fully cooked. For dinner, we had an outside seat on a deck which was really nice, but lots of people came out to enjoy the view and stood in between our table and the railing so the only view we saw were the backsides of people moving around our table moving chairs to get by in the tight space. The staff was not helpful.

Lovely food and lovely people. I would only wish their local brews were on tap. We had the Cajun elk filet and the cours de from age and both were phenomenal. Saw a moose on the way out of the parking lot! Would definitely go back!

Really enjoyed this restaurant on so many levels: 1. The views are just incredible. We watched the moon set behind the mountains each morning during breakfast, and the amazing colors on the mountains as the sun was setting during dinner. 2. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Stacey served us breakfast 3 mornings in a row and was very helpful in providing recommendations of things to do in Jackson, and really made us feel right at home. Had equally superb service from Ben during dinner, when Brian, the manager, was intent on making the best fire for us in the fireplace that we sat next to. The service here was impeccable, but I’m sure it helped that we were the only people there each time we went. 3. Every meal we had was delicious! For breakfast, we had the eggs benedict, huevos rancheros, omelette, and breakfast burrito. Everything was well made. For dinner, my husband had the Elk and loved it, while I had the vegetarian pasta which was very tasty. The desserts are a MUST if you have room. Had the pecan salted caramel cheesecake and the chocolate bread pudding, both of which were just amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and would certainly come back if I’m back in Jackson!

While the food was excellent, the reason for the three stars is because we made a reservation for 2 pm on a Saturday and they advised us that the kitchen was between teams.
