Obviously the people giving this hotel a 5 star review were either paid or have never stayed at another hotel ever… Paint peeling off the bathroom ceiling. Heat /AC unit in room would not even turn on. Walls are paper thin, could here the people next door snoring. The area is not nice/safe at all, as mentioned by one of the reviews regarding their car getting broke into. Not even a decent price for the rundown accommodations. Spend less money and stay in Ridgeland two miles north.

Everything was stellar. The front desk staff was amazing on all shifts. Nice smaller sized hotel. Only downside, the hottub was broken, and looked like it had been for a while, but at least the gym was 24 hrs. The Starbucks and deli had surprisingly great food. The woman who took our order and brought us the food was SO sweet. We were unfortunately there for a funeral, and she gave us her condolences and some very kind words. Also, the breakfast croissant and potatoes were delicious. Fresh, hot and cheesy, and the potatoes were seasoned well and crispy. Yum!

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. The ceiling in our room was peeling off, our window would not shut allowing hot air into the room during the day, found a cock roach under our booth in the bistro for breakfast one morning. Tried to resolve issues with the GM and the AGM and they did nothing at all. The person that checked me in was friendly but that is to be expected. I won’t ever come back to this hotel. It is in need of some serious TLC.

Probably the worst nights sleep I’ve had in a long time and I sleep in a lot of hotels! Not sure if there were residents living on my floor(1st floor) but they starting partying at 11:30pm and continued throughout the night. Banging doors, talking loud, making lots of noise. I arrived Sunday night, no bistro service Sunday night or Monday morning. Expected my bill under my door in the AM but instead it was pre-printed at the desk. Apparently too lazy to go put them under the 8 doors of Sunday night guests. There are plenty of hotels in the area, keep driving!

Very nice and clean hotel. The staff was Dynomite and the rooms were spotless. I enjoyed the breakfast from 7a-10a and the large tv’s for viewing and the diverse seating areas from the bar to tables to lounge area. The lobby staff were curteous, with a smile. I highly recommend this Courtyard!

I would say that for this type of hotel, it is almost as good as it gets. Yes, the rooms were nice, clean, and very comfortable. But, as another reviewer mentioned, the staff is awesome. Everyone that we dealt with from front desk to the cleaning staff was very friendly. The only disappointment was the hot tub area – it wasn’t working and it was junked up, but other than that, all as wonderful.

In town on business every two weeks. Unless sold out(which happens a lot in the beginning of the week) this is my hotel of choice. Front desk is always helpful and friendly. Rooms are always clean. Mattresses seem like they are in new condition(as I check at all hotels I stay at). I haven’t had anything besides muffins and coffee from the kitchen, but those are always fine. Parking lot is well lit at night, as I return from work late. Good job.

It’s a good hotel, but beware of a few things. Before I get to all of that, let me get a few things out of the way. First is that though the wifi is free, it’s a bit sketchy in places. One tip you may want in advance is to request a room near a router. We travel a lot and that’s one thing we’ve learned to ask about. It’s located in a nice neighborhood and there are several restaurants within walking distance. A popular pub is right next door, but there’s an Applebees just up the street a ways. Oddly, there are no crosswalks nor sidewalks and the intersection there is quite a dangerous one. Be cautious if you walk! I bought my tickets off of Priceline and it was a special that included a free breakfast. The free breakfast was for two adults and all children. I noticed at Priceline that a lot of people had purchased that special and then were denied the free breakfast, but I got mine. Albeit, it took determination and work, but I did get it. First, make sure you print out your confirmation and make sure that the free breakfast(including the number of free breakfasts you’re allowed) is printed on that confirmation sheet. Take it with you. You’ll likely need it. When we arrived, she told us that breakfast was available for purchase downstairs. I interrupted her right there. I said that ours was supposed to be a free one. She said that’s not what it said on her reservation. I took out my handy dandy confirmation sheet and she could not argue with what was in writing. She thanked me and said that she’s glad I mentioned it, else the kitchen would charge us. So the next morning my husband was going to go pick up breakfast for us and bring it back up. I pulled out that confirmation sheet and said I had a nagging suspicion that there would still be a problem. He disagreed, thinking it was resolved, but I insisted he take it anyway. Guess who was right? The kitchen told him the free breakfast was only for one adult. He pulled out that handy dandy confirmation sheet again(told him!), and there it was in black and white«two adults and all children». She begrudgingly made our breakfasts and we didn’t have a problem the next morning. It’s worth noting too that the free breakfast isn’t the same as the paid. That didn’t matter to me though. It didn’t seem bad at all. I had the sausage(or Canadian bacon) egg and cheese croissant. It was both enormous and delicious. No complaints there. Our friends that were staying in another room had some problems with the breakfast lady. They said she was very rude but she was okay with us. She only seemed slightly annoyed about the free breakfast thing, but was kind in all other respects. The remaining staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone had bright smiles and were always very helpful. I don’t often see that kind of friendliness in hotels. It was quite refreshing. The room was clean and fairly spacious. We had the King room with a mini-fridge for $ 99. The entrance in the room was a bit narrow. We had trouble getting the valet cart in and out of the room, but otherwise we were pleased. The only reason this hotel gets 3 stars is for the breakfast fiasco. Marriott needs to work on that and make it more clear. Obviously we’re not the only ones that had trouble with it. That’s not a staff problem but a corporate problem. Other than that, it’s a good 5-star standard hotel.
