After shopping here i decided to write a review, first off yes its downstairs directly beneath te Subways shop. The place carrys all ir baling needs and Patty’s energy is incredible. I will be shopping here quite often. the«other place» upstairs may be nicer looking but its a «just not for me place» and indeed loaded with cheap cake pans. Patty even went as far as to tell me anytime your running late call me ill keep the shop open till u get here!.. now where in this day and age do find customer service like that! This place is a throw back gem!.. it didnt get five stars because it is quite small. Dont let it fool ya! Just ask Patty she got you!

Hands down the best treasure in NYC! I RARELY write reviews but this was such a great experience that I had to share! First off, Pattycake can be easily missed if not paying attention. Don’t confuse it with the other cake supply store. Pattycake is a couple of doors down and downstairs. The owner, Patricia and Ana were gems. They gave me ideas for my friends shower and their prices were amazing. What a godsend! I’ll definitely be back!!!

This is the best best best cake supply store i’ve been to. Not only do they sell a lot of stuff, they sell it at an unmatchable price. And the way they treat their customers is amazing. Definitely definitely returning here for all my baking needs. You guys are doing an awesome job. Keep it up!!!

TONI B!!! WAIT!!! Don’t be sad, I got scared too! Patty Cakes is still on the SAMEBLOCK, but she moved — it is on the lower level now, directly under Subway Sandwich. I found out by accident but thank goodness I did! Patricia is still there, and such a delight. The new actual address is 34 – 47 Junction Blvd,(718) 651‑5770.

update: they are back!!! Same block — in the lower level shops, further up the street(under the Subways I think). It’s a smaller space, but it was SO nice to stumble across Patricia one day… I have been back to shop a couple of times already :-D original: Oh NO!!! I went to Junction to shop there and it’s now some other«baking supplies» place(Something Castle or Castle Something [stupid name]). only the first floor has items for sale(they replaced most of the Wilton bakeware with some cheap crap) but there is FAR less stuff on the 1st floor to buy… nothing downstairs where they used to keep most of the candy-making equipment and cake boxes & platters, and where they’d make custom edible photos for you. They now keep the books in little clear plastic boxes hung on the wall behind the counter – how are you supposed to go thru them to see if you want to buy them? Stupid… :-/ The guy behind the counter said Pattycakes moved at the beginning of the year — of course he did not say where… :-/If anyone knows, PLEASE post here. Patricia was *SO* nice. if I can get there by train/bus, I’d rather shop with her.

I love this store-it’s a no frills baking supply store that has supplies such as gumpaste molds, piping gel, food coloring, tylose, cake pans, etc. The guy int he store is also very nice and helpful. The prices aren’t bad, either. I come here when I need my supplies that I need last minute.
