This is such a secret. Why am I spilling this? I am ruining Jackson Heights. BEST momos in the area. Destroys Shangrila Express. That little cart can’t hold a finger to the momos here. I nearly gave up on Tibet after that cart. I haven’t been to Staten Island yet, but these will be hard to beat. For starters, the skin here is thin, delicate and soft but crisp. The insides are always fresh with a bit of grease in there. Plus the sauce they give you, sepen, is absolute smooth greatness. It tastes hot, is it curry? Not the kind of heat that Shangrila offers. It’s a delayed heat with a slow entrance. It’s trojan horse heat. The other food is very good as well. It doesn’t seem like it would be. Just by looking, you think this is the same imitation Chinese-Indian food that surrounds Little India. It’s not. Most items have that same trojan horse of heat and taste great the more you eat them. Dishes come with 2 or 3 sides and soup standard. Note: I am not familiar with the cuisine as a whole. Either it’s supposed to be served cooler or they just don’t care and I’m fooled. It tasted really good reheated though, someone should tell them it’s good hot. Think there’s limited seating? Look up. It’s hidden, but there’s two floors and second floor is usually packed. It’s real.
