Gothic Cabinet Craft

Don’t waste your time asking their employees anything. The customer service was below mediocre. The guy behind the desk was lazy, rude and oh yeah lazy. Anyone looking for good service try Macy’s or something else… Btw maspeth location just kicked me out 30 mins before closing time… Shows the lack of training gothic cabinet employees have!

I really enjoyed my visit here the other day. My sister, husband, and I decided to purchase a bookcase here. The only downside was that normal delivery takes 3 weeks. Luckily, we evaded this fee by buying a floor model with a tiny scratch on the side. What made this easier was the gentleman who was working here. He was really understanding and gave advice on how to clean it and maintain it. We were impressed by how solid the materials were here. Most furniture or at least affordable pieces these days are made using particle board. Our bookcase was a cherry color and was made of real wood. Wow!

A dresser, a bookcase, and a coffee table. All picked out, color assigned, delivered, and completely without incident. The sales person we got both times was very helpful, if somewhat distracted by the iPod he had on, and promptly answered any & all questions we had. He made things clear and gave us accurate delivery windows. The delivery people were quick, friendly, and cleaned up after themselves.

This place pissed me the F– off! We «ordered» a drop-​leaf table with chairs. We were told it would take a week. Then it took until the end of the following week. They presented us with a cellophane-​wrapped table which we had to bring back to the apartment ourselves on a dollie. When we got it home and unwrapped, there were multiple nicks and uneven staining. The pedestal had a huge crack and when confronted about giving us the floor model, because it wasn’t there anymore when we picked this up, he told us he would NEVER do that to us. What a crock of BS! I called the factory direct and they told us they were completely sold out and weren’t planning on making any more. He gave us a cock and bull story about how the factory had one coming off the line. When I told him about the crack, the most they would offer us was $ 40 because to replace it wasn’t going to happen unless we wanted something totally different. ARGH! Shady doesn’t begin to describe this guy! I will never buy anything from them ever again!
