We decided to give it a try and I love the burgers the smootie’s are very different than the ones I’ve tried very delicious.

Jackson Height’s finally gets their own version of a Shake Shack! I was told by someone that they were worthy of trying but I was hesitant because I’m not a fan of artisan/overpriced burgers unless they’re called Shake Shack. However, they aren’t that expensive so that was a nice surprise. I ordered their Ori Emo burger which is equivalent to a cheeseburger and my boyfriend ordered their OMG burger and we shared an order of plain fries. It didn’t take long for our food to arrive which is always a plus. They offer an array of sauces but the best sauce is their pink sauce(not the traditional fry sauce, its like fry with some extra zing — must try!). The buns to their burgers are a BUTTERYGOODNESS. The meat was perfectly cooked to temperature and it wasn’t overloaded with cheese where it was oozing from the sides — hate that. The only downside is that they use shredded lettuce as opposed to a whole leaf but I can move past that. Its a very easy place to eat. No frills good burgers joint. I am happy to have finally stopped in. I will definitely be back for more and also for some take out/delivery. Happy to have this this new edition to Jackson Heights.

Meh is precisely the case. The burger was flavorless. They rely on interesting toppings, but it was otherwise bland. The bun had far more taste and texture(it really did. Good bun there). The Pio fries had the blandest shredded chicken I’ve ever made the bad decision to put past my teeth. It was small, frightened looking fries hiding under a tectonic plate of cheese with flavorless shredded chicken trapped almost fossil-like within. The green sauce is completely without spice and mostly without flavor. The orange/pinkish sauce is a mediocre attempt at a «special sauce» but seems most likely ketchup and mayonnaise forced into an ill-conceived shotgun wedding. Away flavorless thing, AWAY! Will not be eating here again.

Was excited to see that there was a burger place opening up in the neighborhood. Finally wen there the other day because I was getting home late from work and was too tired to cook. Since it was my first time there I didn’t want anything too crazy. I had a basic DAWINK burger. It was actually amazing! I have to say it was almost as good as a Shake Shack burger. Honestly. For the price, I was afraid it was going to be a tiny burger but it was really good size and the fries were HUGE… My friend and I each got an order but could have shared one. ALSO… I love that they serve 100% antibiotic/hormone free beef and GMO Free buns. Highly Recommend!

All fresh ingredients, Pat Lafrieda’s sourced meat. This place is Rockin JH! Been here a few times over the past months, they are consistent & so is the quality of the good.

How fun is it when a good restaurant opens up down the street from you?! Very fun. Is the answer. At Emoji Burger, I’ve tried the O’Dada Burger, the sweet potato fries and the plantain chips, all of which have been delicious. My boyfriend has tried two of their burgers, both of which I don’t recall, but he liked them. They also offer two roll types, potato or seeded — a big win for someone allergic to potato(such as my boyfriend). The burgers are normal sized, but the sides are a hefty portion — big enough for two people to share one side, definitely. They are well put together(you know how sometimes burgers fall apart? Not these), and they are good meat, which is always a bonus and worth paying a little extra for. Think of the benefits for the environment, for society and for your body! It tastes better, and it’s worth it. Everyone behind the counter is nice and helpful, although it’s a solid wait for the food to be ready. It’s a brand new restaurant, I’m sure they’ll get the timing down once they’ve been around a bit. Ultimately, I will be returning any time I need a burger fix and don’t feel like making my own. I recommend it.

We enjoy this as takeout when I don’t feel like cooking. The burgers are good, hotdogs are good and I love the sweet potato fries. Space is small but they have delivery. Nice addition to the area.

This place just recently opened up nearby. I had to try this burger, and it was so good. I especially love the beef they used in their burger. It was fresh and tasty. Did I mention it was oily? This is not for the health conscious. I love the bread they chose for my burger. Just a nice combination! I was not a big fan of the bacon fries – heard rave reviews courtesy of Unilocal,of course! I like more potato content(squishiness?) and less crispiness(crunchiness) in my fries. Anyway, I would still go back to try the other burgers. :)

Its a little confusing… The register was at the back but you have to sit down and have a service when you want to eat in. Means that u have to tip? For a fast food burger? It feels like I paid too much for a burger, I gave him a good tip cause he’s very helpful and nice. I guess its better only when to-go? The space was really tight too, it just happens that when I went here theres a over weight huge guy. Cmon’ its a burger place. He sat in the middle table moving all the chairs that is on his way. Hes not comfortable, waiter ask him if he can transfer to the other table which is the table by wall and so he moved. Another big guy came and it is his friend. They just looked at each other they dont fit. Waiter ask them again to move again, they took the 4seat table. The guy looks upset but hey the waiter did everything that he can do. Hardworking man. Just sharing an experience on this place.

This is a great burger spot. They have a nice variety of burger combinations including a vegetarian option to please any palate. Their also have a good selection of fries with different toppings such as cilantro, cheese, shredded meats, and sauces. Burgers are made to order in front of you so it can take awhile for your food to be ready. The place feels a little small and will undoubtedly need to grow if business picks up. You have a an entire view of the kitchen so you can tell your food is made fresh.

I found out about Emoji Burger quite a few months ago when there were a couple of articles online anticipating the restaurant. They recently opened and I finally got a chance to visit. The place is small, half the space of the restaurant is taken up by the kitchen. I hope they are able to expand(if possible). You get a view of the kitchen & can watch the burger assembly chain. They also have a pretty big TV. Even though the kitchen was pretty loud, I was still able to have a conversation without it being too distracting. I noticed that a lot of customers opt for take out/pick up, but I didn’t mind dining in. Like some Unilocalers said, the burgers are made to order, so it can take a while. I didn’t really mind since the burgers came out delicious! We ordered 3 burgers and fries: — Hands Up(Turkey burger): the turkey patty wasn’t dry at all(like most diner turkey burgers are) and it was juicy & flavorful. I didn’t love the feta cheese as much, but it didn’t take too much away from the taste. — O’Dada Burger: my favorite. I loved the patty was cooked medium, meaty, fatty and slightly crispy. I loved the mushrooms, they were so well marinated. It made me want to try their mushroom burger(I’ll save that for my next visit) — Yummy Burger: Again, the patty was perfectly cooked. The addition of black beans isn’t overpowering and you can get a good bite of each of the burger toppings. — Cheese Fries: The portion for their fries is huge! I split the order between 3 people and we were all satisfied. The fries are medium cut(not that stupid shoestring fry shit, ughhh) and so crispy! The only disappointing part of this order is that the cheese was basically shredded cheese sprinkled on top :(I was expecting to get ooey gooey cheesy fries. I’ll stick to ordering the regular fries next time. We got a bottle of their cilantro aioli for the table. I loved it so much that I drowned my serving of fries in it, and set some on the side for my burger. It’s light, and there’s a great balance of lime and cilantro. Overall, I really enjoyed the burgers we tried. I’m definitely coming back to check out the other menu items. The burgers are well proportioned, they aren’t huge but I thought it was filling. The only reason I am rating this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the lack of gooey-ness of the cheese fries, and it was a little difficult to get my order — the staff seemed pretty overwhelmed.

Had high hopes. Friendly staff! Their table sauces are good: cilantro sauce, chipotle and emoji sauce. I ordered the yummy burger medium. The disclaimer on menu says all burgers cooked medium unless ordered differently. Check out the pictures. That’s raw: medium is pink and cooked. This still had the glossy red veiny look. :(my hubby double whammy was delicious —it was cooked well done. Emo fries is good. Huge portion. Unfortunately won’t try again.

We went shortly after it opened(about a week) and there wasn’t much of a line but there was a steady flow of diners. We ordered burgers and a side of emo fries and my wife got a shake. The shake was a bit underwhelming in flavor — it wasn’t that sweet and a bit on the watery side. The burgers were tasty but not as flavorful as I would have liked(maybe was just the choice I made) but for the price they were filling. The fries were the highlight and were perfectly crispy and salted and a decent size for the price. The décor of the place was a bit bland, but it is like an upscale fast food burger place so it does the job in that respect. I would definitely go again as it is probably the only burger place in Jackson heights that isn’t a wendys or a diner.

Despite being the only customer placing an order at the time, my burger took twenty minutes to get to me and, though I ordered medium rare, I got well done. The shake was OK(that’s worth a star). Perhaps these are just growing pains, but not a great start.

Good food. Came here on opening day after watching the store from across the street in my apartment for months before they opened. The deli that was here before was a terrible shame. The owner of Emoji burger looked familiar, and for good reason because he is the same owner from the other restaurant down the block called Just made 4 U. Good food so far, I hope it stays. Kinda like the shake shack of JH.

Good quality burger. Fries are good. Sauces are very good. I asked for medium rare and got medium rare(most important thing in my burger). Owners are the same as Just Made For You on the block. My service was pretty good, especially considering the previous review, but I was there at 12:00 pm on a Monday. Three menu suggestions: 1. A burger salad 2. Option for whole wheat, pita, or something other than white bun 3. A real veggie burger in addition to their Portobello on a bun.

This was supposed to be a 4-star review. The owner of this eatery also owns the neighboring Just Made 4 U – which gets a 4-star rating from me. I was excitedly looking forward to the opening of Emoji Burger in my neighborhood. Finally! A dedicated burger joint to complete Jackson Height’s foodie haven. I kept walking past the sealed off storefront until finally one day I saw the balloons and glimpsed in to see the place packed with diners. Soon after, I decided to go and pick up dinner. The food took 45 minutes to prepare. Other eat-in diners started to complain that they had been waiting for an hour. The pickup order line kept growing. There was no place to sit or stand. One diner walked up to the register and said she and her friend were done with their burgers but had yet to receive their fries. The phone kept ringing off the hook. The open kitchen was packed with way too many staff members. It was utter mayhem. It also seemed like delivery orders were getting priority over both eat-in diners and people who were ordering to-go. After the unusually long wait, when I finally got my to-go bag, I decided to check my burger on the spot to make sure they had given me the right one. After all, I’d just spent a good portion of the past hour witnessing how they kept forgetting ingredients from different orders that were being sent back so the final ingredients(mushrooms, ham, bacon, etc) could be added. They were not happy about my inspection and got a little huffy with me. «It’s all there,» said one of the line cooks from the kitchen, acting as if the food was free. By now, you have a sense of why my rating is so low. But ultimately, this is about the food. So how were my O’Dada burger, regular fries and chocolate milkshake? MEH. The best part was the fries. They were thin and crispy. But then again, I could get that at Just Made 4 U. The milkshake was runny, not thick. And the O’Dada burger(one of the pricier items on the menu) which boasted sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions basically had two slices of mushroom and onions that had barely met the surface of a hot cooktop. The concept is cute although trying to connect emojis to burgers is a stretch. They are just not ready for a neighborhood that so proudly showcases it’s food and puts its best foot forward when it comes to service. From now on, I’m going to stick to Just made 4 U. Now where is that FAIL emoji?
