King Kullen

Terrible disappointment over a number of visits. Moldy bread on the shelves next to the bakery and complete apathy on the part of the employees in that area. Under-​stocked meat section on a Monday morning. Completely out of or not carrying a number of «usual» shopping list items. Employees who are unfamiliar with «other» sections of the store and stating they don’t carry an item that the store, indeed, does carry. Will have to try the new Stop and Shop in Long Beach.

This is a fairly new King Kullen (and the shopping center) & it’s still clean, neat & fresh.
The produce is always stocked & fresh. Depending on the season of course. The aisles always seem newly stocked as if it was in a magazine with all your non perishable goods. The freezer section is always freezing cold which means they are working well.
The staff at King Kullen always seem friendly & courteous. Especially when there’s a problem at the self checkout, which there always seems to be a problem.
The deli is fresh w/​large variety of salads, cold cuts & prepared foods.
Bakery is equipped with freshly baked good from cakes & cookies to muffins & doughnuts.
Butcher/​Fish seems fresh & stocked
Yes, it’s a supermarket but it’s not too big where you can’t walk the whole store without it feeling like its never gonna end & not too small where you’re tripping over other people.

Every department is always well stocked and I always find exactly what it is I am looking for. This place is clean and the prices are fair. The produce department is always fresh and when I needed basil the other day, the employee on the floor went to the back to get it for me when he could have easily just said they didn’t have and continued working on what he was doing. The produce department itself deserves 5 stars but as a store I give it 4 because the meat department has a lot of meats nearing the expiration date which is not always the most convenient for me.
This is the best King kullen I have been in and the staff is always very nice even at checkout.

Excellent place, clean, friendly, and it has everything I need within reasonable prices. After walbaum closed I had to come to King kullen and was pleasantly supervised. The only thing is that I wanted once to buy beets which cost me $ 1,490.37 guess even computers make mistakes.

I never thought I would want to write a review for a grocery store but this King Kullen needs one. Honestly this is not the closes one to me but they are all so pleasant at this store. Literally it’s like you have wondered into a different country. All of the employees appear to be happy an are generally helpful. The store isn’t as big as a lot of the other King Kullens (which you can notice as soon as you enter the produce section). But who cares, the workers are helpful and this rubs off on the shoppers as well. Everyone is nice. They have special parking for customers with small children and the biggest variety of car carts for kids including a fire truck, police and race car theme. I will continue going back!

I seem to find myself in many different supermarkets. Guess I shop for food at supermarkets at times, like women go to shoe stores for shoes, lol. It is very clean, very wide, the parking lot and store, seem to have a better comfort factor (not vagrants, or hanger arounds in their lot) It is clean, has a big deli aisle if you eat that stuff. Lots of fruits and veggies. For me, nothing that special, not like a Fairways or Wegmans. It is a big local supermarket for the area, Island park, Long Beach.. They just about have what you need.

This is an awesome grocery store. Great deals, very clean, has exactly what I am looking for, fresh produce and a good deli department.

Love this store and visit whenever I am in town! We brought a cake for Mom’s birthday and it was great! As good as any bakery cake you can find… price was good too.

This is the only supermarket in the little village of Island Park, which is more convenient than having to drive to either oceanside or long beach. I usually shop at night when there are less people in the store and it’s just calmer in general. I’ve tried to shop during normal hours and it’s a little busier than at night which is expected.

Friendly staff. Bag packers at the end of checkout, Clean neat, not overstocked.
Wish they had «natural» turkey at the deli. i.e. just home made turkey breast. I shop there and I live in LB

I am so scared to give this place the review I want to because… I don’t want all the crazies from Waldbaum’s on Park to start shopping here.
Came to this King Kullen on a Saturday afternoon and lo and behold — it wasn’t packed! The amount of customers patroning the store was JUST RIGHT — I bet Goldy Locks shops here…
They have a lot of organic produce which is a major plus for me.
Excellent organic, free range, natural, vegetarian fed meat selections, too — another plus.
This food store is clean and easy to get around — it’s laid out wonderfully.
I hate having to drive over the bridge if I don’t have to, but for this King Kullen, I am very happy to!
Better step up your game, Waldbaums. The prices at this King Kullen are much better than Waldbaums.

This supermarket is still new. It’s clean employes are still getting to know systems. They are friendly and courteous.
They have a well stocked deli and a nice hot grab and go section.
This prices are a bit more expensive than the other markets in the area.
I used the bottle return section that is segregated from the store. That’s good as you do not get that old stale beer soda bottle stench.
I prefer this market even though a but more expensive. Product. serms better staff friendlier and customers nicer than other markets on area.
