We didn’t spend a long time at Robbies, really just came to feed the Tarpoons. We walked around and looked at the stalls, they were ok but nothing overly fantastic, we were hoping for stuff a bit less generic because we’d heard good things. The Tarpoons were cool, massive! We got a bucket of fish to share for $ 5.50, there was a few people already there so we waited maybe 10 minutes and had a go. It was a fun experience & cheap.

Came to feed the tarpons… and guess what?!? It was cold and they weren’t there LITERALLY hahaha Will try to make it back another day to see if we can actually see them and feed them. Regardless seemed like a fun eclectic place to be. Tons of people at the restaurant. They has jet skis to rent, there was a shaved ice stand and some other fun little shacks selling knick knacks. See ya next time Robbie!

Me and the friends have been coming to Robbies to do the party boat fishing charter for about 3 years now. Its an ok experience. We have done both the early morning trip and mid day trip yet to try the night trip. Its always a hit or miss. You get stopped in about 3 different spots during the trip. In our most recent trip only 1 of the 3 was a hit. That being the first place we stopped. Snappers, yellow tails, grunts, muttons and some grouper. Second spot was a bust i don’t think anyone caught nothing. 3rd stop was ok but nothing special. You get about 3 hrs of fishing. It take almost an hour to get to the first stop and hour to get back. The shipmates are usually pretty helpful and stick around to bait you up and unhook the fish. Its an OK experience but I think next year we will be trying a new boat to see if we come out better.

We stopped to see the tarpons. First of all: I think it is totally okay to charge people for the bucket of fish to feed the tarpons but I think it is not necessary to charge people a dollar to go onto the pier to see the fish’s…but okay we where here to see then so we paid and went on the pier. It was rather crowded and therefore a little annoying. The tarpons are really huge and there are pelicans all over the place. It was fun to watch. But after we saw these kind of animals as well e.g. in Key West I think you don’t have to pay for it to see them.

The location of this place is one of the biggest selling points of this spot. Came here on a recommendation of a friend while in Key Largo, and while massive traffic tried to keep us away, we made it right before sunset to an AMAZING view. There are a few little street vendors/shops in this area, with the Feed the Tarpon attraction and charter fishing boats that go out, along with jet skis and such. There’s spots to buy beach attire and caricature type things, kind of a mini street fair with music and stuff. It seems like this stuff shuts down around sunset so keep that in mind. We got here right before sunset on New Years Day and it wasn’t nearly as packed as I expected it to be. It was obvious that the restaurant needed some more help because there really weren’t enough waiters on staff. We were told there wasn’t a wait for a table when we got in, but there was no full time hostess on the podium. One of the waiters/bussers was bussing tables and seating people and it took a good few minutes before we were seated, but they did acknowledge and excuse the wait so we weren’t ignored. We got a seat on the bar by the water so we could see the water. There was a charter fishing boat coming in and a guy bringing in the rented jet skis and the sunset so we had plenty to see. The bugs were out in drones but hey, gotta love Florida. Again, the place was a little understaffed because in between ordering food and drinks there were gaps in seeing the wait staff. They were spread pretty thin but polite about it. No big deal, we weren’t in a rush and enjoying ourselves. 2 drinks and some AMAZING mahi later, we packed up and headed out. It was nice that as the sun went down the twinkle/Christmas lights all around really popped. Not sure if this is year round décor or whether it was just because it was around New Years. The staff was also putting out candles in random places. I found it funny they only put one on the bar area when there were several parties on the bar. I think it was because we were clearly on a date and it made it romantic, I appreciated that. I will totally come back here to check out the other stuff in the marina next time we are in the Keys. Food was phenomenal and service was slow but friendly. Worth the recommendation.

Super fun place to stop on our way through the Keys. We paid to go out on the dock and feed the tarpons. A very cool experience. You have to get down on your stomach to get the big ones to jump out and get the fish. Just watch out for the pelicans that want what you have in your fish buckets!

You must stop here when going to the keys just to feed the tarpons. The bucket of fish cost about $ 3.50. It’s a fun experience kinda scary you might find yourself screaming. Food: I order a lobster bisque and a salad. The bisque was good but I’ve had better. The salad was okay too. My boyfriend order the shrimp burrito, it had a very tasty sauce but not too great. The food is okay for quick bite for the road. Overall, I gave it a four star because of the tarpon feeding and the view it’s very nice! Great way to start your keys vacation!

This place is definitely something to check out! The tarpon are huge. They love to bite ur hand off to get the bait. It’s $ 1.07 to watch the tarpon and $ 3.00 for a bucket of bait. In my option it’s worth doing. Also they have a bunch of little novelty shops but Most of them are CASH only and the ATM is $ 3.00 to take out. So bring some Cash along. The Pelicans are huge and Yes they do bite people! Make sure u have a 1st aid kit with u when u go those tarpon teeth are sharp and will have u bleeding

I’m rating the tarpon feeding experience, which is absolutely worthwhile and a «must do» if you’re passing by. A bucket of fish to feed to the tarpon? Little over three bucks. And the dock is swarming with enormous tarpon, so it’s not like you’ll struggle to use up the fish. A half hour of fun and lots of silliness for only three dollars and change. Plus, there’s a restaurant where you can eat(though we didn’t) and a bunch of tents outside where you can buy souvenirs, «art,» and snacks like kettle corn and shaved ice(the shaved ice was delicious!).

Robbie’s is serving up happiness to people of all ages. Easy access off the overseas highway whether you’re traveling north or south in the Keys. There’s plenty of parking to accommodate the many guests that visit everyday. We traveled by bicycle so no trouble finding a spot to park and secure our 2 wheels. There’s vendors setup along the perimeter selling souvenirs, shirts and local art. We saw some pretty cool aluminum work featuring all sorts of sculptures like fish, Sharks, crabs, etc. there’s also jewelry, paintings and literally something for everyone. Venture beyond that and you’ll like hear the excitement before seeing it. Groups of people gathering out on the docks to feed the hungry tarpon. We’ve seen it a hundred times and it never gets old watching and listening to the excitement it brings people of all ages. There’s also a decent little restaurant to grab a bite of your local Key West fare. Appetizers, soups, salads, fish sandwiches, burgers, dogs, tacos, you name it, there’s something to satisfy everyone and the prices are reasonable. Make sure you include Robbie’s on your trip to the Keys, you’ll be happy you did!

I could have easily spent more time here during my pit stop to Key West. This place is a little hard to find from the road. Not being the driver or knowing where I was going, it looked like we were about to drive off the road into nowhere. I’d recommend putting it in your GPS versus just trying to find by sight if you are a first timer as well. The dock made my entire experience what it was. What a great first introduction to the beauty of the Keys! While I didn’t want to touch the dead fish, it was really fun to watch the folks throwing them at the terpon. Those fish were huge and ravenous to boot! I also was able to get fairly up close and personal with a pelican that flew near the edge of the dock. The chachkas stands were adorable and filled with all of the nautical and tropical gifts your heart could desire. While I didn’t eat anything at the restaurant, that definitely looked like a chill spot to grab a bite. The bathrooms were a little hot and not the cleanest, but were better than nothing. I would definitely recommend checking out the tarpon activity on the dock. Based on their website, it also looks like they have a lot more to offer than what I was able to take advantage of. Pretty cool spot.
