Brooklyn’s Pizza

Right down the steer from me. Pretty darn good penne and pizza. My boyfriend likes the sandwiches. The zeppoles are okay. Wish they had canolis!
Time delivery specified by Unilocal is the time it is usually delivered. No complaints.

I ordered a grill chicken for the first time and it was amazing. If I was at the restaurant I would have given the cook a nice tip because the food was incredible. My wife loved it and my son ate all his food Brooklyn Pizza Rocks! Highly recommended

Ordered for pickup. Arrived at the estimated time of completion for my order. After approximately 5 minutes of waiting by the counter, a man with a beard asked if I ordered. I responded I had ordered online. After another 5 minutes, the bearded man behind the counter asked his female co-​worker «Did those Chinese guys over there order?». Rude, racist, and poor customer service is how I would sum up my transaction at Brooklyn Pizza.

Worst mozerella sticks ever. I think the brand is different breading. Taste like cardboard look. I will upload pics.

One star is all they deserve. I’ve ordered from this place maybe 3 – 4 times. Sometimes they forgot to add part of the order to my bag (the drink) but I just let it slide. I placed an order for delivery tonight using the website. I was charge a delivery fee of $ 1.50, plus I included a tip of $ 3.88 I believe or more. Anyway, the delivery woman called me five minutes before arriving telling my I had to go downstairs and collect my order at the front. I told her I was not going to do that, plus I paid for delivery etc… Long story short, she had a horrible attitude so I asked her to return the food because I do not want someone who acts like that delivering my food. Who knows what someone can do in a short ride.
I also called the restaurant to complain but the guy who answered the phone obviously did not care about what I had to say and kept trying to talk above me. I was just frustrated and lost my appetite that i decided to just not eat from there ever again. About 15 minutes later the guy from the restaurant called me back asking if I was ready to talk… Honestly, at this point I was mad as fuck. He also continued to insult me by saying «if I was smart» little does he know how educated I am and do not work in a food joint for a living but that has nothing to do with this review.
Basically, lesson learned… I will never spend my money here agin nor would I ever settle for rude behavior especially from people I am paying to provide a service. — I did not proof this review ;)

Brooklyn’s has taken over my love for Bruno’s (just way too greasy these days)! Pizza is my favorite food because of the many different toppings you can add and enjoy, and obviously Brooklyn’s gets that! New York style slices! Clean environment. At least 10 different types of pizza (from the basics, to seafood, to ziti on a pizza lol) my favorite is the Philly cheese steak slice. I just wish when they’d add more sauce so I won’t have to pay 50¢ extra for a regular condiment size container of it. Even though it is really good. Also wish that when they’d heat it up they’d keep it in there long enough so that the crust is slightly crisp and the cheese and oooey gooey cheesey lol Would have given them five stars if the Zeppolis were made to order and they had authentic lemon icee available. The last two times I visited I got the special. Two slice and a can soda (c&c yuck wish they offered bottled water) or small fountain drink for 3.99, a slice itself is 1.75 speciality slice from .50 to $ 1 more I think. Very courteous staff, and they offer other dishes besides pizza. There is limited seating available.

They are okay. This place really isn’t anything special. I have had a lot of better pizza from elsewhere.

As a self-​ordained pizza fanatic enjoying the autumn years (meaning I’ve had a pile of pizza in my time), I fancy myself as something of an authority on pizza — a quick scan of some of my other reviews will bear this out. On a recent trip to NCY, we chose to stay outside of Newark and avail ourselves of public transport for the bulk of our time in the area.
A mere three blocks from our hotel was Brooklyn Pizza with a menu so voluminous that it had me doubtful of their ability to deliver a good pizza. Well, it turned out I was right — they didn’t deliver a good pizza — they delivered a GREAT pizza, quite possibly the best I’ve ever had, anywhere. The crust was perfect and held its own to support the excellent toppings — it was everything I’d always imagined a NY pizza to be, but better. It was so good that we had two in the week we were there.
Of all the pizza joints in all the world that sport all kinds of memorabilia, Brooklyn Pizza offers no tee-​shirts, keychains, or other souvenirs — the let the haunting flavor of their pizza provide a memory that will be long in fading.

The pizza did arrive on time (45min) but it was cold, soggy and overall disgusting. I took a piece of what tasted like cardboard out while I was chewing.
The zeppoles were also cold, thrown into a paper bag and I guess powdered sugar is in short supply.
The only item that was good were the wings. They were warm and spicy.
I won’t be having the pizza here again. Maybe this has been a bad day for them but I’ll be going to reheat my pizza now.

I have only ever ordered delivery but yessssssssss!!! The ability to order a meat lovers without fear of swine! The pizza is actually fantastic but the lack of pork and the fact that I have had them to deliver to Vauxhall/​Union AND parts of Newark with no problem already earns them 3 stars (what’s your delivery range…). Solid staple for my family.

Ordered at 5:45pm and paid over the phone, pizza never showed up and it is now 8:30pm (I live about 2miles away). When I called the number through grubhub I kept getting hung up on, after my first inquiry regarding my order. So I went online to get another number, and the rude person answering did not identify the place and when I asked if this is Brooklyn pizza they rudely answered yes and when I told them I have been waiting a very long time, she says well you’re not the only one! Ha! So now at 8:30p, I cancelled my order since it has not showed up. Not to mention they came by about 7:30 pm with only half the order! So no one got pizza, just some dry fried wings with no sauce. Never again. The Oranges in Jersey desperately need a good pizza spot. I would give this place a zero.

So disappointing! Zero stars! Ordered delivery, waited several hours for a pizza when the place is 5 min away. Had to call 7 times asking where it was and was told it was on it’s way– when it wasn’t. Finally was delivered a cold pizza, realized this when opening it inside and called again. Was told another one would come in 45 mins. It never came. We drove to the pizza place and asked for a refund for the 8 cut «large» pizza ($ 18.25). We were told on the phone that we could come over and get a new pizza. We were not given a refund or a new pizza like promised, just a bitchy attitude. Not once did they apologize! Bad customer service all around and terrible work ethic. What a bad way to run a business.

Solid pizza choice for delivery in the area. I like sweeter more flavorful sauce, but they are generous with toppings. We ordered green peppers once and they apologized for only having a mix of tri-​color peppers – Hey, even better!

So convenient! They are reasonably priced and there is typically a sale as well. Everything I have tried at this place is amazing. The wings, beef patties, pizza, garlic knots, etc. You really can’t go wrong here. My honey and I love pizza and they are always friendly and a quick stop. They do charge extra for credit or debit card uses. They deliver but it’s always easier for me to stop in. I love this spot!!!

They have the BEST pizza around! The buffalo chicken pizza they offer is the bomb. I’ve never had bad service and they always seem to be open late.

Absolutely delighted with my regular slice. They had plenty of options to choose from, and the hotel nearby is in great proximity for their delivery. It is a godsend for anyone using the Irvington Bus Terminal or catching the 25 up Springfield Avenue.
I felt like I was in Brooklyn but I was definitely in Irvington!

I ordered a pizza for delivery an when I opened the door the woman smelt like cigarettes. I almost didn’t take the pizza. But overall great pizza.

They won me over!
