This is the worst DMV I have been too. I will never return in this lifetime. My star is for my dmv rep Martha, she was slow but not rude. A man came out at 6pm closing time and stated the bathroom was now closed and if u needed to go it was too bad and if u were waiting to take a driver’s test u would have to come back because testing was over.(so what u been there 3 hours) bathrooms had no toilet paper or soap. We stood up 3 hours before being seen. The workers act as if they aren’t happy with their jobs and the facility is below poverty. I hope their bathroom had soap. The workers attitudes match that dump.

I sat in this place for 4 hours watching the staff discriminate against people, yell at people, and behave in about the most unprofessional manner I’ve ever seen in a work place. I have to go back and this time I plan to bring a camera to record what goes on here. First time I figured someone was having a bad day, but it was one incident after another. I can’t express what a terrible place this is and if there is any option to go else where then take it.

The worst dmv I have ever been to! 3 hours in line every time… Workers are rude especially the white short hair old lady with the glasses, she should retire or go work for the military, her customer service is simply awful, she quits her chair whenever she sees lines getting longer or walks around bossing everyone (nice way to get paid!). If I ever need dmv services, online or 1 hr drive. Anything! As long as I don’t have to deal with these rude and lazy employees.

Being new to Texas, I had to go here to apply for my license. Not a great way to be welcomed to the state.
Came in on a Tuesday since they have extended hours. Walked in and there was a line and I didn’t know where the end was. Got in line and didn’t even know if I was supposed to be in that line because the ladies behind the «Check-​In» counter were yelling out random instructions.
Waited an hour to get to the check-​in counter. All this lady did was look to see if I had the proper form and documents and gave me a ticket and told me to wait inside where the blue tape is.
There was a dark blue tape and a regular blue tape. I stood in line for the regular blue tape. Waited another hour or so before my number got called up.
I had to surrender my California license, take my picture and then do a vision test. That machine for the vision test is super old. You know the red View Master toy from way back when with the circular film inserts to view an image? Yeah, that’s what the vision machine reminded me of. You have to position your head to view the line they tell you to read.
Glad I don’t have to come here for another several years. And even then, I’ll just renew online or something.

This place is horrible! I’ve been standing in line for over 2 hours and there absolutely no order here. No one is telling anyone to sit… because there isn’t a place to sit! I even see an elderly couple that are just standing in line and they’ve got canes! Honestly this place could do with a facelift and better organization of staff. People seem rude and obnoxious. The guy who gave this 5 star rating had an unusual and lucky experience. This place sucks!

Is it my fault that your coworker isn’t here? This is my only issue with government facilities, they are under the impression we owe them something. When I got to the counter. He told me I was misinformed, and that I needed another document. Tip: GO TO A MEGA CENTER. Avoid this location at all cost.

I feel a little bad rating this type of business because, seriously, has anyone ever had a great experience at a DMV? I know I haven’t — that’s in California and Texas. I do have to say that DMV employees, for whatever reason, are the most unfriendly people. Perhaps they need to keep straight faces, and not be personal in order to do their job efficiently, but I have witnessed some VERY RUDE employees at times.
I’ve been to this location twice. If you get there early (a few minutes prior to opening), then generally I’ve found the wait is not too long. However, anytime after opening you can expect to wait for quite some time. This location doesn’t have chairs in the main area — only in the lobby, which I found inconvenient since I had children with me on my second visit. Also, there is not a lot of room once lines do form so if you don’t like tight knit spaces and sharing public germs, this may not be your favorite place to be.
Also — want to mention that my experience was rather distasteful because the employee who assisted me in obtaining my TX license (I relocated from CA), incorrectly put on my license that I am required to wear my glasses at all times — although I told her that they were only for far away and I usually wore them while driving at night. Now I have to go back to get that taken off if I want to and I am required to wear them while driving — hard to remember! What a headache.

some of the employees are very rude, I left this place this afternoon in utter shock at the quality of service. I don’t expect friendly service, but I was hoping ppl would actually do the job they were paid to do. There seem to be a few clerks hard at work, picking up the slack for the lazy ones. There is a white lady who had short hair. She may have been about 55 years old or so. She kept leaving her chair and avoiding the people in line. Its pointless to complain, so I waited patiently with the rest of the herd. oh well, what can you do, its the DMV afterall

The best Texas DL place for driving test so far. They were quick, easy and very polite.
The instructor was very nice. There was hardly any wait time my test was on tuesday 10.20 am. I was all pepared with my documents and reached dmv 1hr before the test, every thing went out smoothly and I passed the Road test yesss FInally .it was my 2^nd attempt. My first attempt was in Garland mega centre which wasn’t a grt experience.

Went in to do a simple renewal over lunch and this place was closest to work. Really sketchy part of town. Although there are no signs telling you, you must go to the front desk for a form on a clip board to fill out basic info and get a number before standing in the renewal line. So you’re standing in line, but they call you by # over a PA system. I looked around and decided to go to lobby and took a seat until I heard my # since I was standing in line behind a meth head. Turns out they didn’t need any info other than my DL, $ 25 and an eye test. This «stereoscopic eye test» machine looks like its from the 60’s. It was so blurry I read the numbers wrong the first time and the woman stopped me. I managed to get my eyes to focus by moving my head around and closing each eye until the numbers came into focus. I’d seen others before me taking the test and not a single person was able to read all the #s the first time so I think that says something about the equipment rather than every person in line had bad eyesight. The «CRS» people administering the test seemed to know this because I could hear them telling people what the first #s were. Anyways, since it was my first time in the DMV in 12yrs because that was the maximum allowed to renew online I guess it could’ve been worse, but not by much!

They are open until 6 pm on Tuesdays if you want to go after work and need to get in and out to renew your license. It wasn’t as packed as some of the others (the one in Plano was crazy when I lived out there) and they seem to be pretty organized in getting folks taken care of. The young lady that helped me, I have to say, was not the friendliest… but I understand you want to get home and what not, sista. Just glad to get it done.

The best Texas DL place so far. They were quick and easy. The ladies were very friendly. Although I over heard a comment that they did not have any English DL book, I was surprised. Did not effect me since I only had to fill out a form for DL replacement.

Seriously, Texas? You’re going to try to charge me $ 150 for a class, time & effort on my part when I know perfectly well how to drive AND I have a license already? Granted, it’s not a Texas license but this is ALL because I’m 6 months shy of 25.
You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me.
Change your rules so they actually make sense –_​–
P. S. Guy at the front desk, way to make me feel welcome to the state, NOT! He said all this a-​matter-​of-​factly like I was an idiot. You, sir, need to stop being such a grumpy gus!

I just moved here from Boston, and I needed to get a Texas Drivers License. This is the place to go for that.
There was hardly any wait when I got there and it was a breeze. I had all the required documents ready to go before I got there. I also downloaded and filled out the required form beforehand (they have them there too).
When you first find this place, the entrance is on the far left. All the other doors you see are locked or have no handles on them. Weird. Anyhow you enter on the left and first pass a help-​desk lady who filters out the people who didn’t bring their paperwork or forms of identification needed. You get a number here and go to the next room — there was only 1 guy ahead of me. The person who helped me was great and took care of everything.
If you are looking to get a texas license and have a valid one from out of state, you need:
— Your old license
— passport (or birth certificate and a W2 form)
— Social security card
— proof of Texas vehicle registration
— proof of insurance
— completed form
— pay the fee
They took my photo and handed me a paper license until the real one shows up in the mail. But I was out of there in no time. It was a breeze. I was so nervous to get this done because I hear about long wait times and nightmare people working there but I thought this place was just great!
