La Michoacana Meat Market

Every visit is worth going out of my way! Fresh produce I can’t find at other places and their prepared lunch is just like eating at home.

Another BBQ, another La Michoacana run! This is our go-​to place for marinated ANYTHING! The wings are ALWAYS a hit at our BBQ’s and we can’t take any credit for it!
This location was a little smaller than the location off of Greenville and parking was very tricky (we made our own random spot LOL) but it’s well worth the trouble. When I first walked in, I could smell what we call chitlins… not sure what they’re called in Spanish but the smell could turn some away but, we grew up with Mama & Granny cleaning and cooking chitlins all day – although I don’t eat them, I welcome the smell… LOL!
Don’t worry if you don’t speak Spanish, the meat market section is pretty much set up where you can point and say how many pounds you’d like to order… they even have signs on the meat display in Spanish and English. Thank you for that… although I know what a chicken wing looks like, it’s good to have confirmation :-)

GREAT food. Authentic? No — that sounds like its a look alike (taste alike?) It is REAL. From the tacos to the soups to the buffet. Better know a little spanish or you will be eating tounge and pork skin without knowing it…
