One of the worst Gym’s Ever. They won’t let you cancel membership even though you don’t come to the gym for past 6 months. Only the manager knows the process to cancel and the manager is not in till 09:30. Cancellation forms are locked in the managers room and no one is authorized to get it for you. The other way to cancel is they say they will call and give you an address which they will never do. Worst Customer Service ever!!!

Best gym I’ve ever been to in Irving. Always clean and the staff are always welcoming. Price is good for all they have to offer! Monthly assessments with personal trainers, classes, transformation program called 28 days of impact, kids club, and many more!

I was an old Gold’s member and paid 21.95 a month and could bring a guest. When it changed to Impact, they eliminated the guest privileges and told me I would be billed 9.95 a month. Guess what — they never made the change and so I am still billed 21.95 a month for a bare bones gym with no guest privileges. Pay the extra and go to 24. Called to ask about it and was told they had to manually change my membership. Which is crap since they told me it would be automatic in the September billing cycle. Typical gym rip-off.

Seems shady, Why can’t the front desk discuss the advertised rates on the gym’s website? I called to inquire about rates and the front desk basically knows nothing. I was given the same number I called for rates. When they realized that was the case, I was told to come during the day to talk to a fitness instructor for rates. Why? Its on your website? Just explain it. Shady.

This is a really great gym if you plan on never going and just paying the monthly bill. It doesn’t actually open at 5am, instead it opens sometime after 530 or 6. Or whenever they feel like it. But definitely not before 530. The gym always smells. Like it reeks. A foul, sickly-sweet stench. It’s bad. Wanna hit the rowers? Too bad because they’re always broken. Which is really great, because they want you to pay a $ 40 equipment fee every year to maintain the broken rowers.

I think this gym is fine. Have been going here for a few months now and they have a wide selection of machines and weights in addition to plenty of cardio machines. They also have a Yoga studio but you can go in there and do exercises when nobody is in there. I’ve also noticed it’s never been over crowded even during rush hours.

BEWAREOFFRAUDELENTBILLING/MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATIONFRAUD! I went in person to submit my membership cancellation in writing earlier this year. I was told that my membership was effectively being cancelled and I made the final payment that was due. Filled out paperwork, signed, gave my credit card to make my final payment. Five months later, I receive a collections notice in the mail saying I owe Impact(formerly known as Gold’s Gym) $ 45.00! I was in shock. Like WTF?! I drove over there immediately to give them a piece of my mind and ask what was going on, and they provided me with a final payment receipt and all cancellation paperwork – yet, I’m in collections!!! When I asked the guy if I was the only person who has gone through a situation like this he said, «oh no, I see this all the time. Lots of people come in and say they thought their membership was cancellation, but they got a collections notice in the mail saying they still owe money. I guess the last manager we had didn’t know how to correctly process cancellations, and now a lot of people complain about this issue.» It was then that I realized this is probably their MO — pretend to cancel people’s memberships, but report them months later for not cancelling/not paying. Words cannot express how pissed I am. DONOTJOINTHISGYM… google«Gold’s Gym membership cancellation Fraud and you will see many, many cases of this across the country… they tell you that you are cancelling, but then they come back around months later and try to collect more money from you, by telling you you didn’t cancel properly. I wrote a letter to their corporate HQ, and guess what – it was returned in the mail today and marked«Vacant». No wonder they changed their name to Impact. Because they are shady rat bastards, that’s why. Now I am having to spend all kinds of time and money trying to fight and dispute this debt with the collection agency. Rat. Bastards.
