I should have read the reviews before I walked in, but this place is close to my hotel. The staff was okay, not unfriendly but not friendly. The worst thing is now my nails are all uneven, the color is great but I can shape my nails better than the manicurist did. I walked out with rough nails, had to file them myself to make them or get stuck on my clothes. I am so disappointed.

Really sweet staff and excellent prices compared to the surrounding salons. I recently stoppes in here for a standard pedicure and they upgraded me to a hot stone massage for being a returning customer.

I was a patron of this nail salon years ago but abandoned it when the original owners turned it over to one of their relatives who sadly, lacked the dedication and attention to detail that John and Lynn did. I moved away from the Valley Ranch area of Irving in 2010, so it had probably been at least 7 yrs since I had been to Hollywood Nail Spa. Sadly, this salon hasn’t improved with age A friend of mine who had moved away from the area last year but was back in town last week, suggested that we get pedi’s here. She had been to this salon before she moved away last year and thought they did a good job. Perhaps my standards are higher but the customer service here is appalling. My pedi was performed by a nameless middle-aged Asian man who never introduced himself. This man nicked the cuticles around several toes. This gentleman(and I use the term loosely) said«Do you like your nails squared» and I told him«No», I wanted them rounded. The tech then proceeded to tell me «We are trained and we know what we are doing». I told him, I don’t care, I am the customer and I don’t want square toenails. I don’t know whether Grandpa Jones needs glasses or what but I noticed after I got home that the polish isn’t even close to the cuticles. There was hardly any massage at all with this pedicure. My friend opted for what was supposed to be the«organic pedicure» as she has multiple chemical sensitivities however when she spotted a bottle of lotion from«Bath and Body Works» we knew there was nothing organic about her treatment. My friend had something green added to her soak water, I had nothing. I can get a much better pedi with considerable more massage at a salon in a strip center in Plano for the same cost. At Hollywood Nail Spa it is possible to pay for separate foot massage. Apparently, the notion of nail care, decent massage and polish change is too much for them to fathom. It is time for this business to say«buh bye». One pays for a name and a location in the Valley Ranch/Las Colinas area. Your pedicure dollars can be better spent elsewhere.

I can see why this place has no customers. The person that did my nails was rude. I came here to get my nails painted and when it was time to get my nails painted she said that it would only last a day and she kept on for about 20 min. It was weird like she didn’t want to work. I won’t be coming here again.

Probably the worst place ever. Lady was not wanting to be at work. Didnt do a good job on my toes. Did different things in each foot. Not sanitary with tools. Still trying to find a good place

This place was very nice and clean was not busy at all. The time that I went which was around three something on a weekday. I would recommend this place if you want fast paced and good work but the lady hurt my toe so I would not be going back.

The people here are really nice, but I was not happy with the way my nails turned out. I only got the pink done since I didn’t want tips and my nails are naturally long. The technician layered the pink on unevenly so my nails look splotchy. She also could not do the almond shape I wanted. I wanted to have beautiful nails for NYE, so I’m a bit disappointed. I will either have to paint over it when I get home or go elsewhere to fix it. A big waste of money! :(

The place was clean. The result of my nails was decent. I got same tech twice. She was quiet at first but after starting conversation more, then she was very sweet. I did french nails and it last whole week which it was better than gel one that I got from Hawaiian Nail Bar that chipped at the corner of some nails on the second day. The second time I got nail art on my toes. It was so cute! And again my normal polish on my nails last the whole week before it started to chip. The polish on my toes last even longer. For the price and the result, I’m satisfied with this place. Will go back again.

I am quite sad to have to give a poor rating of this place, because I have come here probably 4 – 5 times and have had good experiences, especially when getting a pedi by a tech named Snow. But, the last time here will be my final visit. Why? Because the techs reuse the pedi tools… like, they do not sanitize between patrons. Sooo, if the tech snips your skin, it bleeds onto the tool, and then they use this same tool on the next customer, guess what??? Yep, sharing of germs and possible disease. I was shocked by this, because I do not recall seeing this happen in the past. Now I have to search for a new nail spa that offers good, safe pedis :-(

Horrible! I went there to get a refill on my solar nails and I regret it. The lady kept pushing me to get a new set when it didn’t need it. Also she kept slapping my hand when I wasn’t relaxed enough for her. And worst of all, she put the pink so far out that the nail was already showing when she got done on four of the fingers! Biggest waste of $ 30. Never going here again.

I don’t have much to say except that I’ve experienced way better manicures and pedicures. My manicure didn’t look professional. It looked just like it would if I were doing it myself. My pedicure was not much better. Even though I had two ladies working on me at the same time, I am not sure how they managed to finish my manicure and pedicure within 30 minutes. They were rushing, and the results definitely showed!

I visited Hollywood Nails in May based upon a mailer. I walked-in for a mani/pedi for $ 35. After selecting my nail color, I was directed to the chair. The overall atmosphere was calm and quiet for a Thursday evening. My nail tech did not introduce herself or attempt to make conversation; the lack of conversation was fine because I felt a need for calm. She worked on my feet first. As she trimmed my cuticles, she nicked my big toe to the point where it drew blood. I Unilocaled and withdrew my foot. She apologized. She went for round two on my cuticles a few minutes later and nicked the SAMETOE again in the SAMESPOT! At this point, I had a bad feeling. I really should have asked for another technician. I regret not saying something sooner. During my pedicure, her personal cell phone rang three times and she answered it all three times. I was appalled. When she performed my manicure, she nicked five fingers. I was a mess; it was the worst manicure/pedicure I have ever received. She did not seem overly concerned for her lack of professionalism and butchering of my cuticles. I called the next day and left a message for the owner and not surprisingly I did not receive a call back. Lesson-learned: You get what you pay for! There are many other professional nail salons worth visiting. I regret visiting this nail salon.

I tried this for the first time with a coupon from the mail. Very pretty and clean. Good prices. I got the deluxe pedicure and gel manicure. Staff was friendly and also polite to each other, so it made for a very nice environment. Good selection of colors, and my toes and nails look very good. I’ll be back.
