Place seems dirty, the floor felt greasy under my feet, the baskets that the naan came in had curry stains from a customer before me and everything seems to need a good cleaning. If the part where the customers sit is this dirty, I can’t imagine how the kitchen is. The momo is ok, the curry is tasty, the waitstaff isn’t great so I guess barely three stars.

I went to this restaurant with my friend who is from Nepal. Being a South-Indian vegetarian myself, I could not get myself to like this food. I ordered a couple of vegetarian items, but they still had the smell of meat & fish. I may not

Food is really good. Veg thali is delicious. Gulab jamuns are good too. Ambience is ok. Should improve ambience

Good food! But the place might deceive you, don’t be fooled, Nepali food is there specialty so please order some Nepali dishes not Indian!

My Nepalese classmate ordered all the food from appetizer to dessert! Many of the menu are similar to Indian food like pakora, mango lassi, and gulab jamun. We came on Saturday night, 9 pm, and was seated immediately. It seemed this place is popular with the Nepalese community, a lot of young people too, not just families. I loved the chicken lollipop, really tender and yummy! My Chinese classmate liked the chicken dumplings. It’s similar to Chinese ones but the filling is different. We also ordered pakora and a couple barbecue plates. I like the food and would be back again. It’s also very affordable! So much food for 4 people, about $ 15 per person.

Momos or dumplings were good. Otherwise I personally didn’t like the food. I found this place not very hygienic.

Tried their chicken momos and they were great. Quite authentic. Not an upscale ambiance though.

First I’ll say that I’ve only ordered one Nepalese specific dishes, bbq chicken It was well cooked and tasted good; love a sauce though and go for dishes with sauce. I have ordered from every other area of the menu and I have never had a bad meal here. Sometimes the service is not as expedient as others but I don’t mind so much because the food is always good. I finally, only this past weekend, got them to serve me a pretty spicy dish. I ordered the khumba and told her to get it as spicy as possible, to act as if the chef and I are enemies… it worked and it was wonderful. Until this last time the vindaloo and gosht after it were my two favorites. I also like the taxmax it’s good too. I have no clue what types of spices they use in the food, and often I have no clue about any other ingredients either; but, Everest’s chefs pack an amazing amount of flavor in everything I’ve had. Savory sauce/curry is always just that and never seems too salty. Sauces with cream are never too thin and go wonderfully with the naan, I always order naan as opposed to rice and it has always seemed fresh. The garlic naan is good, but a friend pointed out that often it gets lost in the curry and doesn’t actually add much to the entrees… by itself the garlic and herbs shine. I don’t know how to appropriately describe most of these flavors becasue I don’t actually know what they are; however, I do know about the khumba. Khumba is made with mushrooms and even though I ordered it spicy, I could taste mushroom with every bit… this was a very enjoyable dish. I will say the bathrooms could use a little work. Also they are byob which is a plus. I would take any of my friends/family here and will definitely keep going back.

The chicken momo was excellent ! A must try. I tried the ‘Tash’ and was impressed with how authentically it was served. The meat however was a tad bit too chewy for me. Got a good jaw workout. Also ordered the okra which while delicious, was seeping in oil. All in all, an OK place to eat if you are craving Nepali food. Word of caution — when you tell them to make your food ‘spicy’, they take it very very seriously !! :D My taste buds were ‘slayed’ after I ate a bit of the onion kulcha, not a pretty scene.

Pretty good food here. The spice level varies. Been here maybe 3 – 4 times and each time, I typically get the same thing(Chicken Tikka Masala) and get medium spice. One time, it didn’t have any spice. The next, it was super spicy. Another time it was just in the middle. Service can be a bit slow, but the food is good.

This is one of the best Nepalese restaurant I’ve eaten at. Every thing looks so authentic and genuine. Taas, sekua, momo all taste bomb. Whenever I am in dallas, I try my best to come here for lunch.

This place had been bookmarked for a while now. I was hesitant based on the pictures and the 3.5 stars(3.5 to me means its either a hit or miss). My sister had eaten here before and highly spoke of it. I have nothing better one day when she invited me to eat here. the location is no the greatest, as it sits behind a empty building. the surrounding establishments in the neighborhood look like they could use some maintenance. The inside interior decorations and furnishings felt a bit outdated, with the low hum of the TV playing some random station quietly in the corner. all of this was excusable(and perhaps a bit more charming) once I started eating. The family started off with Momo’s(Indian Dumplings). Jesus Christ they were good! They had a robust and tasty flavor. The momo’s were gone in under two minutes. I was tempted to order another plate, but I stopped myself. Even if you’re not really hungry and tag along with someone to eat here, order this and share! The only other dumplings Ive had that were this good were from European In Texas(and thats a completely different geographical flavor) The whole table ordered the non veggie thal(with lamb). This is really the best way to try all sorts of different flavors and not pay an assload. Everything on the plate was delicious. There were some items that were better than others, but overall, I highly recommend this. The highlights were the paneer saag, the lentil curry, and the lamb. The naan bread was good, but Ive had better. But its still good, but some parts are chewy ans some parts were crispy. The cucumber soup wasnt bad but it wasnt really my thing. Cold soups in general are not my favorite. And the Gulab Jamun they serve in the middle was terrible. It had the consistency of a soft hushpuppy, soaked in syrup. Those things were sugar overload and didnt really taste good. You’re better off not eating them. Im not sure what people are talking about with flavor. They serve great food here and although its far from a magical experience, the flaws merely build character. But make sure you come here with an empty stomach, cause you may not be able to finish your meal.

Been here so many times I’ve lost count, yet I always forget to review it. We mostly go here for chicken momo because their momos are the best in town. Vegetable momo is edible(trust me it’s not easy to find decent ones around here). Get wai-wai sadheko, and choyela itheyre both very good. Their Sekuwas are good too. So is bhatmas sadheko. Their gobi, paneer and vegetable pakoras are all decent. I’d say if you’re going here, order Nepali food and not Indian. They make better Nepali food, AND there are plenty of Indian restaurants around. The ambience of this place is pretty disappointing. They have renovated a little outside, which makes it look better but it’s in no way an upscale setting. That being said, I have a good time every time I come here. The servers are always nice and courteous.

The food here was bland and mediocre. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan and a few other dishes but they all did not impress. The basmati rice was dry and not fluffy. On top of all this, the restaurant was dirty and had a terrible smell. I nearly slipped on the tile floor at the entrance, probably from all the grease and lack of cleaning. When we left our clothes reeked of a foul odor. Would not recommend this place for food whatsoever.

This place deserves more than 3 ½ stars. A Huge selection on the menu usually means poorly executed(5 pages!), however everything we got was fresh, authentic, and hot. Great value for the price and was delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try more selections from their menu. This is truly a hole in the wall worth investigating.

The ambience is modest and feels welcoming. I ordered the Nepali thali(with chicken) and a masala chai. The portions are good-sized. Now for the good stuff… The daal(lentil curry) was fantastic as was the chicken — very flavorful. The bad stuff — all the veggie dishes had a distinct ‘metallic’ flavor to them that’s hard to describe and wasn’t appetizing. The ugly stuff — this one mixed-veggie dish(carrots/peas etc; next to the greens in the picture) was served cold and I could tell it was taken straight out of the freezer. There were ice crystals in it! I will go back to this restaurant to try their momos, but will stay away from the Nepali thali!

Pretty good. The menu was very expansive but difficult to understand as an average US-native. I ordered a combination plate of sorts and the variety was good, the amount of food was plenty and everything I ate was fresh. The only thing, taste-wise I was not a fan of was how many bones there were in my chicken. I eventually quit eating it because even when I thought I’d removed all the bone I’d find another piece after a bite. The service was VERY relaxed. I kind of wish I didn’t ask for another minute to look over the menu because it took a very long time to order after that. Getting our check took forever, too. Overall, it was decent.

Yum! good food, good service but the orders take a long time. I would recommend ordering your appetizers ahead of time so the food will be ready when you get there! great place overall!

Discovered this place through a Nepali friend of mine who approves! We called in prior to arriving for dining in in order to make sure that our dumpling appetizers would be ready right as we arrived! They were incredibly accommodating with us, let us choose our seating, and hooked my friend up with a charger for her phone! It was a drizzly, cold evening and the warm and inviting atmosphere coupled with perfect comfort food was absolutely soothing for the soul. I was awed by how generous they are with portions and pricing! They provided a complimentary appetizer of a type of chutney(sauce) paired with papadams, a type of crispy, chip-like bread typically dipped in the sauce. The sauce wasn’t the best I’ve had, but can’t complain too much about something free haha. We ordered chai(tea) as well but the elaichi(cardamom) aroma was maybe a little stronger than I would’ve liked and it was a bit cooler in temperature than what I ideally would’ve preferred. Now for the dumplings! Perfection. I’ve never had the Nepali variety before, but they are different(I would say better) than the Chinese ones I’ve had! They’re a little spicy, but very well flavored; they were paired with an excellent sauce! We were wowed that one order had about 10 dumplings a pop! All for only about $ 5!!! A plate of dumplings can definitely be a meal for a single person! As if the dumplings weren’t enough already to stuff us silly, it came with a soup! It was warm, had the perfect amount of spice, and had some onions as garnish. Again, really good flavor and aroma! After all of that, I was too full to order additional food, but my friend ordered a platter — type dish called a «thali». It was a sampler dish that came with basmati rice, veggies, chicken curry, daal(lentil soup that is eaten with the rice), and some additional garnishes and flavoring components. It looked very promising, but I was too stuffed to actually try it: S Will definitely be back :)

Fist experience eating Himalayan food. Have to say the place is a dive as you have read from other reviews. But give this place a chance. And I did. The staff is a little slow and not really helpful also have to say the lighting in the restaurant is not the greater so– the yellow print is hard to see. Lol (had to take a start off for this reason) But the food. Heat is to order and I have to say I have had a lot of chicken curry. And hate that the chicken is over cooked. But to my surprise it was done just right and was very good. Portion was really great for the price. Will have to go back and try different things.
