I gave a 3 star because of their great hair selection but the customer service is VERY poor !! The only good customer service is the sales reps who manage the wigs etc. I’ve been coming to this place since I was 13 and the old owners where SOOO sweet! Now I barely like going there but I have to sometimes because the other hair store I like is further.

Excellent selection of hair, hair products, makeup, «costume» jewelry, etc. I prefer it to Jenny Beauty Supply across the way. It’s larger, and more organized. I was helped by an employee today who gave me some good ideas for hair colors for Spring and Summer. Well priced products too! My go-​to.

Good customer service, convenient location. They have a nice variety of hair products and cosmetics.

I like this hair store, I always find a new hairdo everytime I visit. The prices are reasonable and staff are helpful.

This place has alot of hair. I was impressed. Its in the Tom Thumb shopping plaza. What it does not have is enough professional hair care products. They keep a very small portion of Kera Kare and Mizani at the register. They had great prices on their Remy Saga weaves so i will definitely be back. But you’re better off going to Ulta or ordering online for the professional products. I found the men at the counter to be rude. So I will try other hair supply shops before I come back here. But they did have alot of options. They no longer do that discount keychain.

I want to preface this review by saying that I am not ashamed of my weave. I embrace my weave. I live by the weave. I do… I have no qualms with a women of color going au natural if she likes, I actually love that look… on most women. BUT for me and my hair, which I tried to rock the natural with, just won’t do. That is why I go to American Beauty about 2 times a month. I go here for everything from extensions, wigs, ponytails, relaxers, shampoo, makeup, and some really fun costume jewlery if you like. They have everything… they really do, I even seen a white girl in their buying her extensions for her fusion, so I know that opens up a whole new side of buisness for them. I will say that sometimes their prices for hair are a little much, if so I just head on down to Hair Mart right down Beltline going towards Irving Mall, they ususally have what American Beauty doesn’t or cheaper. However, the minute I need a touch up or a new satin cap, my first stop will be and has been for the past 5 years, American Beauty. If you go in and it’s your first time, ask for a keychain, it gets you 5% off of your purchases!!!
