This place adds to the great Los Olivos community! I have stopped here for their delicious Illy coffee drinks and prepared foods on my way to work or coming home ! They have a breakfast deal Monday-Friday I believe and a cold case amongst other needy house hold goods. A bit pricey in some aspects but otherwise a great spot. Taco Tuesday is also held there and kabob nights?

I used to live at the village awhile ago and this place keeps me coming back. I love spending Friday nights hanging out with some old friends and grabbing a drink and some food. The pizza and beer selection at this place are top notch! The staff is great it’s almost like a second family, Ally in the front always has a smile on her face and is extremely welcoming the market wouldn’t be the same without her! Steve the manager always makes sure I’m taken care of and my favorite beer is in stock. James and Rosco in the back always make the best pizza’s. This is a very fun place to spend a Friday night!

I’m giving this place 1 star for this reason: Stop by to grab breakfast & as we were waiting for our food along with other customers, there was a guy and girl working behind the food counter. As the woman was making our food the guy made a comment on a breakfast burrito order that was written on a piece of paper. I guess the 3rd employee working the register had ordered a breakfast burrito. The guy employee was upset and blurted out loudly towards the young lady working the register: «It’s not like we don’t have picky clientele here.» That was so unprofessional and rude! Needless to say the 2 employees making the food yesterday time shift around 10am, we thought both was being mean to the young lady working the register. That kind of behavior should never be seen in front of customers. After getting our food, as we paid at the register, we talked to the young lady as we paid. We told her how unprofessional and rude the 2 other employees were to wards her and customers. Sad to say that that always happens. I guess they always act like that all the time in front of customers and her. The manager needs to talk to those 2 employees who works the food counter. Not sure what their name is but they’re both heavy set because this happens all the time. The food is good not too bad except everything way over priced.

Shame on the Market for not enforcing the no smoking policy on the patio! Everytime we walk past there is ALWAYS at least one person sitting in front of the non smoking sign with a cigarette in hand and often with the market employees nearby and aware! Starbucks across the street is far busier, yet they find time to enforce the policy.

My girlfriend lives at the park apartments and we always go here for their Friday night Kabobs, healthy and fresh. They also have great sandwiches and fresh sushi! They carry all the European products and everything that we need and we love to go here. Very friendly staff that know how to take care of their customers. They use to have music on Friday nights but they stopped the live music:(. But we still go to their wine tastings on Friday nights and hopefully they bring back the live music,

Convenience and customer service is key. Centrally located in the Village apartment community, residents and local business partners enjoy the Village Market with a variety of food staples, deli style counter(with daily specials from American, Mediterranean, Persian and more), a large variety of spirits and wine night on Friday evenings. All within walking distance of your home! The team that’s runs the market Ally(the best), Steve, Nacho all remember your name, your«special» orders and preferences and treat you as a trusted friend.(Not just a customer). If not for this little«Gem» The Village would be just another apartment community. Barry the owner is by far the most congenial & gracious person I have had the honor of meeting.

You would probably only find yourself here if you lived onsite at the apartments here. Very small location, but they have almost anything you might need in a pinch. It’s a little pricey and not a huge selection, but very convenient.

I was next doors at the club house and my 13 years old child asked for snacks. I told him to go next door to the Village market and check out what they have and tell me how much money he needed; a few minutes later my son came back freaking out because as he was leaving the lady at the market chased him outside as he was leaving and asked him«did you take something without paying?» I went to market and asked the lady why she would say that to a him. She denied asking him that and said she was just concerned she didn’t help him. Two other people heard her, so not only she called my kid a thief but also a liar.

Wandered over here from a nearby apartment complex because a friend and I knew they had food. They happened to have a kabob stand outside, and they were cooking the food over coals and everything smelled good, so we assumed it was probably good. Wrong. I ordered the chicken kebab, and got maybe 5 small chunks of chicken. Flavor on the chicken was so-so, the rice was good(hard to screw up rice), and the veggies were horrible. Friend’s beef dish tasted so-so as well, but I got the added benefit of… praying to the porcelain gods about 10 minutes after trying the beef(which I ate first). So in essence, we each paid $ 10.79 for mediocre kebabs, crappy veggies, and a trip to the bathroom. Fail.

One day came to get a salad, found a hair within the avocado. Told the manager, and he apologized and gave me another. Took another salad, half way through the salad, there was a 6 legged bug within the fish somewhere, dead or alive. Didn’t feel like eating anymore, gave it back to him and offered me another. I declined. My coworker likes the place though.

It’s very convenient, but s bit over priced and the fresh fruit /veggies are not rotated that much and not very fresh. The meats as well have been a disappointment. However the deli counter is tasty and the bbq is typically good. Overall I use it in a pinch but avoid it otherwise.

The store was not very busy when I entered yet the service was slow. The clerk who pulled my desserts from the display case broke my tiramisu and just pushed the broken end into the container. Then I got a sandwich that was pre-made(turkey). It was standard and stale white bread with a little cheese and very little turkey(see the picture I posted). To put it in perspective the 7 Eleven across the street has better pre-made sandwiches. My understanding is that the food you order fresh is better but I don’t care. You are represented as a business by the product that you sell. I wouldn’t have paid even $ 2 for that sandwich let alone $ 8! This business thrives purely off of convenience for residents of Los Olivos. If you don’t live here then steer clear as there are plenty of other places nearby with better product.

This place have everything you would need ! Excellent food the pizza and sandwiches at yummy They also delivered in less than 40 min is amazing. It is so convenient for me that I live so close. Specially after a long day of work sometimes I don’t want to go out .i recommend the village market to anyone that lives at the Irvine spectrum.

I walked in here while visiting the awesome apartment complex because I peeked in the window and saw a variety of products. In particular, I recognized Asian and Italian products, which was really unexpected for a small corner market. Upon entering, I was immersed in a new world that had its own produce and«deli», as well as alcohol and snacks. I could see how the community members here could get caught up in this microcosm and never feel the need to venture back out. It made me feel anachronistic, but I thouroughly enjoyed it. Note: lots of people seem to come for the food at the deli!

The location is convenient but there are 2 big negatives: 1– It’s overpriced 2– The customer service is bad The prices can be overlooked because the market primarily serves the Irvine Company apts but the customer service factor is what makes you feel cheated. The employees at the grill are unfriendly and the wait time compared to the lines are excessive. You really have to prioritize convenience to get value for your $ 10 sandwich. Tbh the food just isn’t that good. The spectrum is like a 5 minute walk from the market. You’ll get a better meal in less time and for less money. Do that.

Villiage Market is nestled about 2 blocks West of the Irvine Spectrum, in an apartment /home community. There’s only a few amenities in this specific area, tailored to this nice little community. It’s a nicely stocked market, with a great selection of beers and wines. They have a great grill for foods cooked to your liking. Grilled Chicken Panini is a fantastic consideration here. Plus I’ve found the prices here are a few dollars less than at the Spectrum.
