I went to the retail store to replace an aging wetsuit and worn out BC. At first, I thought I was in the wrong place. It’s in an industrial area with no other visible retail. It turns out the store is attached to the warehouse for a large website. A bit unusual in that the showroom isn’t packed with gear. Only a few items are out. You shop onscreen with a very knowledgeable salesperson(mine was Aaron), and the items you are interested in are brought out quickly from the warehouse. There are several large clean try-on rooms. He zeroed in on the right products quickly and the sizes were right there to try. Web prices, and hands-on shopping. A great combination. No up selling. A very positive experience.

If I was just reviewing this place for their retail side, then I would give it a 4 or 5 stars. I’ve gotten most, if not all of my gear here. Their pricing is very competitive and the convenience of being able to just go over there and pick up my items directly is nice. However, when it comes to their service/repair side, it’s been consistently trying. If you get gear serviced here, you will need to regularly call them to get an update and/or make sure you’re in their radar. Otherwise, you will likely fall through the cracks if you need your equipment back by a certain time. They may also mix up orders. So, I would still utilize this place to purchase equipment, but I want to try other dive ops for servicing.

Their lack of care for their online customers is amazing! I have had problems with multiple orders over the last 6 months. The first order was for a sale item that took them over 14 days to notify me that it was backordered. The second was an order of Christmas gifts that was placed on 11⁄30. Once again it took them two weeks(12⁄14) to notify me that one of the items was discontinued by the manufacturer. Well as of today the order still had not shipped. I leave Tuesday(12⁄22) to visit family for Christmas. I contacted them today expressing the situation and seeing if we can expedite the shipment. The reply I received said«It appears it should be shipping today!»… SHOULD! I just checked and it was shipped standard, meaning that there is now way my family will have their gifts. I placed this order 19 days ago… So thank you for allowing me to show up to Christmas without gifts. Very frustrating and unprofessional.

I am a relatively new diver and had several questions about dealing with visual impairments. I had the pleasure of online chatting with Darrick, one of the scuba instructors. Not only was he knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, but also very understanding when I explained my budgetary constraints. He was able to recommend several products, was very intuitive and made suggestions that would help me enjoy my dives more. I’ve been intimidated by more experienced divers, as in the past, I’ve faced impatience and annoyance at my lack of experience and the need for reinforcement of skills.(I only get to dive once, or if I’m really lucky, twice a year). I plan to use for all of our equipment and advice!

I had recently wrote a good review but they are crap! I ordered a suit loved it. But the wrong size I sent it in for an exchange now it’s 2+ months from the original order where they lied about the shipping dates because they don’t have a clue what’s going on and I finally get the suit and it’s the wrong colors. I am beyond irked off at them and will never use them again. Oh and get this they charge you to ship it back to them and to ship it back. I wish I could half do my job like these bone heads.

These guys are super friendly. The area looks nice and open. I love the art they have on the walls too! The fitting room is clean, which is a plus for me! Before coming in here I was extremely terrified of going on my test dive in the open waters, but now I’m more excited than anything. We got our boots here. Great selection of things too! I have had great experiences with scuba shops in the past online leisurepro, diversdirect, online scuba but this is not one of them. They show no care about their online customers. You will see it time and time again on their reviews with people having the same complaints. They claim to have a product or a size then we waste our time putting all are information in to order from their site and hear nothing. They billed me the same day I should mention. One week after I placed my order I get an email your item is back ordered you will get it in two months. Ok so your not sending anything else I ordered because you claim to have a product you don’t real classy. I hate for you to have to ship in two different packages. One more week goes by this time it’s we are sorry your order is going to be over 60 days it has been cancelled. I still haven’t seen my refund. Never again, read the reviews you will see a constant pattern. They know how to take money that’s about it, by the way I sent them an email did I get any kind of customer service response of course not.

I have been to multiple times since becoming certified in July with nothing but the best experience in customer service, knowledge and helpfulness. The store is not your average retail experience. Scuba diving is a sport that requires awareness of multiple details that are essential to having a safe and good experience. So with that in mind, all the guys(Aaron, Arthur, Bob, and everyone else I’ve met) have taken the time to educate me on many aspects of diving. You can either order online or go into the store, go to their computers and order whatever you want to check out and they are brought out to you from their vast warehouse. After checking out the equipment you can ask as many questions as you have from the instructor and with his guidance you can make your purchase and take your gear with you. My most recent experience was a week and a half before Christmas when I ordered a dive computer for a 12⁄26 trip to the Carribean. It wasn’t in stock and was due to come in on 12⁄19. I called on 12⁄19 and was told the manufacturer had extended the delivery date until after Christmas, but to check back the next day. In the meantime, I received an email from advising that the manufacturer had now discontinued this item. Eeee gads! I called the shop and spoke to Bob. He said that the owners of the store were offering a different computer to those of us in my situation. This dive computer turned out to be the one I couldn’t afford at $ 697 and my ordered computer was $ 299. Well, I told Bob I really couldn’t make up the difference and he said that the $ 697 was being offered to me for $ 399! He said the owners said Merry Christmas! Did have to do this? Did they have control over the manufacturer? Obviously not. So, when I came to pick up my new computer, Aaron put my whole rig together, explained the computer, and said Merry Xmas. I’ve had such an awesome experience, I will never go anywhere else, thank you guys, you are the BEST!!!

Update to my previous review. Since writing my review, a member of contacted me and apologized for my experience. I was very pleasantly surprised that they read these reviews and take the feedback seriously. That, alone, leaves a better impression of their business. Additionally, they went the extra mile to personally rectify the negative experience and made me a happy customer who has more confidence in their customer service. I recommend shopping here and if you ever come across bad customer service reach out to their team(I spoke with Bob) and they will make it right for you.

The WORST customer experience I have ever had! I went into the store to purchase a pair of boots for an upcoming dive trip. We entered the shop, Arthur was working the front desk. He did not acknowledge us when we entered. I thought, okay, I know the routine. I went to a computer and began looking for the boots I wanted. I selected a pair put them in my cart and pushed the button for them to be brought up front. The guy from the back came up front, dumped some stuff on the counter. Never said Kris, your order is here, nothing! Left me standing there for a good 10 minutes. Arthur never said, your order is here and they don’t have the boots in your size,(even though the computer said they did). I finally walked over and looked at the dive gear that was brought up front. My experience does not end there… I decided I did not want to spend my money at a shop that provides such lousy service so I asked to return the boots I bought on line that were too big. I went up to Arthur who was standing at the counter looking at the computer. I asked him to process the return on the boots. I gave him the receipt. He didn’t look at it but continued with what he was doing. I told him, «give me the receipt, I will return the boots on line» He said, I’ll be done in a minute. So I waited, more than a minute when, the one other customer in the store, came up and asked Arthur multiple questions. In stead of Arthur saying, «I’ll be with you in a minute, let me help this customer» he turned and helped the customer and left me standing there AGAIN. At this point I had been in the store over 30 minutes and had yet to be helped. I told Arthur not to bother with my return that I would return the boots on line. He said to me, «I am sorry, it’s really busy right now». LAME!!! It was not busy, there was ONE other customer in the store. I took the receipt from his hand asked his name and left the store. What a waste of time, thinking I could drive into and leave with the boots I needed. I went to my car and called after getting caught in the phone loop I asked to speak to someone in their customer service department. After being on hold for 5 minutes I hung up. I called again an hour later, talked to Bob who asked me to hang up and send them an email. WHATTHEHECK??? What kind of service is that??? I left, went to Sports Chalet and got the boots I needed for half the price in half the time. Sorry , I am done with you!
