Northwood Pizza

Still the best pepperoni pizza I’ve ever had. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid & am still a very frequent customer.

Bummed about overpriced or bland pizza choices close to home?
The original hometown North Irvine pizza joint known nearly universally to anyone who’s ever ventured north of Irvine Blvd. (known colloquially as «Northwood Pizza») revived itself from life support circa 2012, and moved into this smaller space in the same plaza (across from Yogurtland, next to liquor store). It’s more or less a spot specializing in takeout and delivery now which also has a few tables and chairs and a HDTV for waiting for your order, or wolfing down a quick slice or deux.
Oh and they take Samsung and Apple pay in addition to credit cards and cash. It might not be the absolute greatest pizza you’ve ever had, but the handmade quality is there and you can tell it’s not from a chain or discount spot. That definitely counts for something! The pepperoni is delicious and they totally overload it, so I typically get half pepperoni half some other topping (veggie or meat). The BBQ Chicken is also worth trying!
Beyond the aforementioned seating and flat screen, the décor is pretty basic, a little like your typical Domino’s but with a different logo. And they don’t sell beer which would make this place all the more better, but you can go next door and marry the two together.
