Checked out this truck at OC Din-A-Go-Go at the corner of Michaelson and Harvard in Irvine. $ 8 Munchee5 Fries — Carne Asada, Melted with Monterrey Jack Cheese and Caramelized Onions on top of Cajun Fries and topped with M-Sauce. This dish was a good size and really tasty, by the looks of it I thought it would be over-the-top salty, I was happily surprised it wasn’t! $ 6 Deep Fried Oreos — Double Stuffed Oreo’s battered in Red Velvet topped with Honey, Powdered Sugar and Feta Cheese. Deep fried red velvet oreos sounded AMAZING. I thought this dish was just meh, I probably wouldn’t pay $ 6 for it again. The food was good, service wasn’t bad, the only thing that ticked me off was the ridiculous wait for our food! They must have been replenishing their fries or something… I left to buy food from another truck, finished eating it, and the Munchee5 Fries were STILL not done.

Tried again after less than stellar prior experience. Had the spicy chicken bowl w/brown rice. Last time had sliced rib eye, which was really just OK. 6÷14÷12 they were at corner of Alton and Jeronimo. First time the wait for food was a bit long(over 10 minutes), but last time I was there it was more prompt.

Checked out this truck during one Foodtruck Friday in Fullerton. Their menu looked interesting so thought I’d try a few items: MacTon(mac n cheese + rib eye), Peanut butter wonton, red velvet funnel cake and grilled cheese sammy. Not too impressed with the funnel cake or the peanut butter wonton, but the Macton and grilled cheese made up for what the former two items lacked. Just another truck though, neither great nor horrible.

Pretty decent food here. They were at my local home depot today so I thought I would give them a try. My review is only on the 3 things I ordered, sliders, feta fries, and special drink. Sliders — REALLYGOOD. Not sure what they put in the meat but the sweet roll, onions, and everything was great. I believe it was $ 6 for 2 sliders(a bit pricey but you can tell better ingredients) Feta Fries — I was excited for these as they sound good and they had good reviews. What I got was just OK. The fries were good and the sauce they had were good(I think the fries are called cajun fries) but they were very heavy handed on the feta. I like feta, but it almost seemed equal parts of feta and fries which was a bit too much. A lighter amount of feta would have made them much better. Next time I would get the cajun fries insead. Special drink — so they are trying this special drink which was strawberry, cucumber, mint, and a sparkling drink and I really liked it. It’s funny though I HATE cucumber and I loved this drink while my wife who loves cucumber did not like it at all. I thought it was very refreshing. Other items on the menu seemed really good and if they are local I’d try them again.

As I rushed out to beat the lines for this truck, I was disappointed to find that they weren’t open at their scheduled time, and even more greatly disappointed when they made us wait another 25 mins to open… After getting my order(another 10 mins), the look of it was not very appealing. I had ordered the tri tip taco and grilled cheese with tri tip and they both looked extremely similar(I for some reason thought the taco would have lettuce and guac). However, once I tried the food, I was pleasantly surprised. Still, the good food doesn’t excuse how unprofessional the set up was for them. There wasn’t even any excuse or discount or anything said by them to make up for their tardiness.

All we tried from this truck was the Red Velvet Funnel Cake. Sounds amazing, right? It wasn’t. It really tasted like normal funnel cake. It was very light though, not greasy at all, which I appreciated. I would like to try them out again, maybe try the Twisted Grilled Chee5. But for now, their funnel cake only gets an A-OK from me!

This food truck visited my apartment complex tonight and I was starving so I thought I would try it out. 1) Price: Kinda pricy. $ 6 for a quesadilla? I feel like a sucker because while the special stuff they put in the cheese tasted okay, it was REALLY greasy and oily. The mac n cheese wontons I bought were interesting and new. I’m glad I tried them, but honestly it was like fried wontons with mac n cheese… not really anything mindblowing. 2) Service: The wait was kinda long. And I was cold. Dunno if I’ll do that again on a rainy night. 3) Taste: Little better than average. Not that great. JUSTREALLYCHEESY and greasy AND fatty. (But I do have to say, the sauces were pretty good) Will I go again? Probably not, but I’m glad I tried it out.

I ordered a burrito and fries, my friend ordered the grilled cheese . I was really disappointed. I would have rather ate a Chipotle burrito. There was nothing unique enough about this food to make us order it again. To me there was something artificial tasting about it. Also the wait for food was too long, everyone was waiting at least 15 mins and there wasn’t even a line. Skip this truck not really worth it.

Food — 5 stars Wait — 0 stars As many, many other reviewers have mentioned, the wait at this truck is absurd. I can understand waiting in line for a long time, then the food comes out fairly quick. But at this truck, you’ll have a short wait in line and then wait forever for your food. We had about 4 others in front of us, waiting, and it took an entire 30 minutes to get our single order of Mac n Cheese Wontons. Why they don’t have them ready to drop in the fryer, is beyond me. The wontons were great, super creamy and crispy, but after waiting for 30 minutes, I really didn’t care. I will probably never visit this truck again. Superior fail. If they had been slammed, I could understand. But they barely even had a handful of customers, ordering 1 or 2 items each. No thanks.

Tried this truck tonight. Ordered the Tri-Trip Grilled Cheese on Sourdough, I forget the exact name of the sandwich. $ 8.70 total. The Sandwich itself was really good, filled with meat, delicious. I walked up to the truck and while the front of the truck was drawing a crowd, not a single person was in line. Approaching excitedly, I ordered my grilled cheese and was promised 25 minutes max. 25 minutes? Fine. Admittedly, I was in a rush but I guess 25 minutes isn’t bad. Even for grilled cheeses… Anyway… 25 minutes came and went, then 30 minutes, then 45 minutes. By the time I received my food there was no one else standing at the other food trucks as the event was dying down. Even the very popular White Rabbit’s line had completely faded. I couldn’t enjoy my sandwich there so I opted to take it home. Luckily I didn’t live too far, but the sandwich did get a bit cold by the time I got home. The wait alone would have led me to give 1 – 2 stars. However, upon receiving my food I also received a coupon for a «free item» for waiting. Not sure if this wait was unusual as I don’t see other reviews discussing the wait really, but I found it to be especially frustrating. Extra bonus for having a WeedMaps sticker on your truck and the overall canna-friendly theme is pretty awesome.

Initially intrigued by this truck because it reminded me of Deadmau5. Even the colors, the black + neon green theme haha. Just missing the strobe lights ;) I already got food from The Lime Truck so I was looking for dessert. Came across their red velvet funnel cake and red velvet oreos. Decided to go for the funnel cake. The funnel cake was small and only one layer(haha this is the fatty in me speaking) but topped with whipped cream and bluberries/strawberries. It wasn’t too oily, slightly soggy though but not too sweet. Red Velvet oreos, I’m coming for you next!

This truck was at the City of Cerritos concert in the park a few weeks ago. I noticed quite the line so thought I would give it a try. The line was about 15 people long and knew I would have to be patient as the food was made to order and«gourmet». After about 20 minutes, I reached the window noting 1 cook and 1 person taking the money. I placed 1 order for sliders and 1 order of the tacos. After paying I was given my order number and asked to wait… And wait I did!!! After 25 minutes and my number not called, the concert was now over and there were 4 people in front of me who also had not received their food. Making the decision to leave the event with the band packing up, I asked the cashier for a refund and was given major attitude saying it would only be 5 more minutes. I insisted pointing out that the evening’s events were over, and magically… I was handed my order, no apologies for the wait. As I walked back to my group, the 4 customers in front of me still had not received their orders… As to review the food… Sliders were cold and bland. Tacos were tasty but not worth the frustration, attitude, and wait. It may have been a bad night for this truck but this was my experience and don’t think I will order anything from them again. I rather have a hot dog prepared by the senior citizens than deal with the attitude and poor customer service. I hope the city never has them back and based on one of the four customers in line in front of me wearing a Parks & Recreation shirt, it’s likely they won’t.

3.5 stars. The Mun-chee5 truck was one of three trucks parked at the OC Brew Ha Ha this past Saturday. My BFF and I ordered the koobideh slider5 and the twisted grilled cheese sandwich. The koobideh slider5 was nicely seasoned on a soft bun, covered in cheese. There were bits of onions and herbs running through each bite. The twisted grilled cheese had Tri Tip in the sandwich which made it super tasty. Even though they said it was going to be 15 – 20 minutes, the wait for our food was actually 30 minutes. We had enough time to get another beer tasting and walk back to the truck. The nice thing about being at a beer festival is that you really don’t need to order any drinks at the food truck, since sodas & waters were free and the beer tastings were included in the entrance fee. The Mun-chee5 truck also had some cool desserts like cake pops, deep fried red velvet Oreos, and red velvet funnel cake. I was intrigued but filling up on beer so I didn’t try the desserts. Maybe next time.

I only ordered the Mactons and it was disappointing. It wasn’t cheesy at all and I didn’t care for the sweet & sour sauce. However, my 3yr old liked it alot. =P Oh yeah, and the wait was too long.

It was the first time I had ever seen the Mun-chee5 food truck, and since I’ve heard good things about this truck, my friend and I decided to get a little something here. The menu, I must admit, was definitely enticing. I wanted to order all the different kinds of sliders or their signature grilled cheese sandwich, but we decided to get their tri-tip slider with pesto sauce and carmelized onions. Our first impression? It was impressive. And it turned out to be… very, very good. Not a healthy slider at all and even a bit oily, but it was just SO good. Yes. You should try this truck. Even if you end up not liking it, at least you tried it. And I doubt you’ll dislike this truck anyway ;)

I tried this truck out last night with some of my friends and I Have to say it was pretty good… not too bad. A lot of the items on their menu sounds pretty good. My friends and i got: –Blue ‘OC” Guac: Guacamole with bacon and Blue cheese… I am not a huge fan of blue cheese, but this was surprisingly really good! It had really good flavor and they give you chips with it. –Loaded Fries: Fries topped with cheese, pulled pork, and sour cream. The pulled pork was really tender and good. Could use a little more flavoring to it, but otherwise really good. I am curious to try some of the other items on the menu, but so far it is pretty good.

The MUN-CHEE5 truck must have a lot of enemies since all these reviews with 1 – 5 reviews under their belts have given the 5 truck 1-star. Hmmmm… suspect maybe? I tried on the MAC-TON5(fried wonton with MAC N CHEESE). I didn’t think it was that bad. It was tasty and rich and something crazy I’ve never had before. WOW! There’s always a first for everything… it was the first time I’ve tried it. Not bad!

Was so excited to try this truck tonight. Being a lover of all things fromage I’ve been looking forward to this truck hitting the scene. Sadly all the excitement was in vain. I ventured to experience the Mactons– I mean what could be more yummy than macaroni and cheese with bacon deep fried in a wonton? Sad to say it was not what I had hoped for… The Mac and cheese was bland, the bacon was almost non existent and the choice to serve it with Thai sweet chili sauce was mental(so not a complimentary choice). I was going to sample their sliders, but as they did not allow mix and match, I decided not to bother as I didn’t think any sounded good enough to have two. Overall this foodie was let down by this first experience and I really hope this truck strives to improve and fast.

Ah Mun-chee5, with your vaguely drug-themed menu with items in categories like«High Dose» and«Edibles,» and even your pretty ladies with their green eyeliner, you make me smile. I only wish I had tried more than your(again, appropriately themed) Cake Pop, which was delicious chocolate chip cheesecake in a graham cracker coating. I can imagine craving something like if I were high as a kite. It was maybe a tad creamy, and less cakey, than I’d like, but points for being one of the better dessert ideas — and being the perfect serving size for a mere $ 2.00. I’m a fan. Next time I will have to try some of the more interesting items. I’m intrigued, and… Wait…what was I saying?
