This place is amazing! I have been here twice, and both times(I ordered different things) I was extremely pleased. The pita bread tastes fresh and is served warm. The food is amazing across the board.

Incredible, SUPER ‘tender-favored’(flattened) chicken kabobs! We added 1 extra for a few bucks to share the meal, but don’t worry… they are VERY generous with portions, so you’ll leave full. Comes with a salad, Basmati rice, veggies or a half grilled tomato & pita slices. We paid $ 1 more to bump it up to a Greek salad –AWESOME, but ‘SKIP’ their dressing… Yuk! Ruined it! So why pay extra if they don’t even have Greek dressing? Tip: Get a sample of their soups. Delicious!

Luna Grill is a Mediterranean /Middle Eastern casual restaurant headquartered in San Diego with locations throughout California and Dallas– Fort Worth. They like to be known as a «kebobery» and their signature dish is their chicken kebob. We went to the Irvine Spectrum location on a Sunday afternoon. The location is across from the Edwards Theater and the Irvine Improv, nestled among other eateries like Tender Greens, Umami Burger, PF Changs. The exterior of the building is quite plain, and looks like any other restaurant found in an outdoor mall. However, walk inside, and its a charming place, with quirky lanterns floating overhead. There’s muted tvs along the wall, and the natural lighting makes is a comfortable place to eat. We chose to eat outside, and the patio area is semi-enclosed. There’s glass along the side to keep the wind and noise to a minimum, and there’s a roof overhead. Our food came out quickly. At first it was the appetizer sampler plate, and then the server realized that the sampler was Stephen’s lunch. My chicken kebob came out minutes later. There was plenty of food for both of us to share. The sampler platter was definitely a meal in itself. The falafel was crunchy on the outside, yet moist but firm inside. The hummus was delicious, as was the Israeli couscous. The grape leaves were not my favorite, as the inside rice was a bit mushy. The chicken plate was a generous portion of chicken breasts, Basmati rice, house salad, one grilled tomato, and pita bread. The chicken was seasoned well, but it wasn’t as juicy as I hoped it would be. Still, overall a great meal, and priced affordably at $ 11. Lunch for 2 with drinks came to $ 27 even. We had enough for both of us, and luckily didn’t have to take any leftovers home. Thumbs up for this place. I’d gladly come back to try their beef sirloin kebob.

With new changes in management I’m happy to say I’m impressed with changes that have been made. Keep it up ! Food is healthy and fresh. Put places like Daphne’s and others to shame. Wish the Aliso viejo girl who answered the phone got s talking to, she’s snappy :/

Great dining option at the Spectrum! Service was nice, love the clean and modern vibe and décor. Food is good, some items better than others, but overall a solid option if you are looking for something light or even a larger meal if you chose their plates. Both the chicken and gyros is great, love their fries and the salads are a solid option as well. The wraps are a bit on the small side and not worth the money, I usually go with a salad and add meat which is a generous portion and I feel the best value here. Food comes out quickly and is made well, all around good food and worth returning!

Although this is not a full service restaurant, the service was great and servers are friendly. The kebab was tasty, and the rice was flavorful. We liked very much.

My husband wanted me to try persian-mediterranean food, so brought me here. I had a wrap gyro with salad and it was pretty good. The meat was perfect, not too greasy not too dry and the white sauce gives it a nice fresh taste. The service is good, waited around 10 – 15 mins for our food. The patio is perfect to enjoy the food, relax and have a nice time with your companion

I tried Luna Grill previously in the Westpark Irvine location and I was not impressed by the Gyro plate. However, I heard that the chicken at Luna Grill was worth trying so I decided to give it a shot. I came to this location which is open until semi-late compared to other Spectrum eateries on weeknights. I got the cornish game hen plate which included rice and bread and tomatoes on the side. I decided to do half rice and half salad. The chicken was juicy and delicious, although kind of annoying to chew on around the bone. Although I usually go for boneless options, this dish had great flavor. The rice is nothing worth writing home about, but having half rice/half salad is good. You can either eat inside or on the heated patio. I will be back :)

After experiencing Luna Grill at the Spectrum Location the last two times, I was extremely disappointed. I have had the chicken kabob plate at this location multiple time, however the quality of the food has changed. I wish the restaurant would go back to the quality they had when I first experienced their food. The last two time I’ve had my food burned and I ordered a salad and they didn’t give me sauce. I can’t complain about all their locations because I’ve experienced the West park location and I can’t wait for the UCI location to open. The quality isn’t great at the spectrum location, however I like the restaurant as it is more sit down where ever you like and no one bugs you and asks if you need anything else. I’ve given them second chances before my review… Hopefully the quality will change. I’ve had the chicken kabob plate which includes: rice and salad and the lamb tenderloin kabob which also includes: rice and salad. I don’t know if all locations have the same things, But I recommend getting a bottle of Sipp(non alcoholic) fizzy drink that was super good (I bought mine from the west park location)

Well seasoned food that is comforting and exotic at the same time. Tried the flat chicken kabob dinner; cashier explained that the flat chicken is breast meat that is tenderized and seasoned before grilling. Lots of sides and the pita bread was super soft. Gyro was also well seasoned and divine with the soft, warm pita wrap. Both their baklava and chocolate but roll were perfect 2 bite desserts and a great way to finish off the meal. Very friendly and helpful staff! Will be back soon

Spent around $ 10.50 for a yummy plate of lunch and I will definitely be back. I ordered the chicken kebob plate with basmati rice and salad. For $ 1 more I upgraded to Greek salad and as my side I ordered the carrots(vs. ordering tomato). The chicken was phenomenal and perfectly cooked! Wish there were more pieces because I devoured them instantly ;) We also got some appetizers, spinach pie(yum), sweet potato fries(AMAZING, MUSTGET) and a hummus plate. Everything was delicious! Try this place out if you’re in the spectrum and looking for a quick but healthy meal.

Luna Grill serves fresh and REAL Mediterranean food. Their menu consists of appetizers, wraps, salads, plates, and desserts. They also have a kids menu to accommodate consumers that would like to bring their family to eat here. The majority of the food are made from scratch upon order and never pre-cooked. Service wasn’t too bad here. They were friendly, but they didn’t motivate me to come back. I think it is important that the staff and the food makes it epically memorable for consumers to feel that they want more and more of the food here. Wraps and More(that I’ve tried): Gyros Quesadilla — the gyros mixed with onions, tomatoes, and melted cheese. All of that is placed between a multigrain flatbread. It was crunchy and soft at the same time. I got to say that this was pretty good. ***NOTE: Comes with a side of fries or a house salad! Signature Plates(What I’ve tried): Bistro Filet Beef Kabob — beef marinated in their special sauce that was made into a kabob with bell peppers and onions. The sides were good, but the beef was not so tender. Norwegian Salmon — salmon is seasoned and grilled. Truly simple and not too bad. But there was nothing new and unique here. ***NOTE: This plate also includes basmati rice, house salad, and pita bread with cucumber-yogurt dip. You also have the choice between carrots or grilled tomato garnish to give your plate the final touch. Desserts(that I’ve tried): Mini Baklava — this is very interesting. You would need some time to get use to the texture and the mix that is created in this little dessert piece. I really like Mediterranean food(especially homemade from one of my beastie’s house), but Luna Grill did not give me that wow factor. However, I still think it’s a place to try out for a new experience and to see if you would enjoy it yourself. ASALWAYS, NOMFORLIFE!

My hubby and I came on Friday night for a quick meal. The service was very good and the restaurant was very clean. We ordered the chicken kebab and gyro for two people to share. $ 14, came with side of house salad, yogurt sauce and a grilled tomato over basmati rice. The chicken was grilled to perfection, very juicy. The gyro was a bit salty and thinnly sliced so I felt it was dry. My husband really liked it. We sat at the outdoor patio which is dog friendly, we forts remember to bring our puppy next time. They have heat lamps overhead to keep you warm. Good spot to people watch too!

Came around 10:00pm on a Sunday but yay, ITWASOPENANDPOPPIN here. We barely got seats outside in the cool patio overlooking the theatre and outdoor area. I got the steak signature plate, with roasted tomatoes instead of carrots. Everything was so good together and simple, as Mediterranean food should be. The meat alone is salty but paired with the rice, it was palatable. I saved my leftovers for lunch the next day and it was still good! I’m not sure I believe the calorie count listed next to my plate but regardless, it’s a nice, quick meal with a paleo appeal. Will be back! P. S. Please fix the ice machine. Ain’t nobody got time to be pounding at it to get ice.

Irvine location #2! Thanks to Luna Grill now I have a healthy spot at the Irvine Spectrum! If you follow my reviews chances are you know I need a healthy spot to not mitigate what efforts I put into the gym and that Luna Grill puts together righteous salads and wraps. You may also know that the Greek Salad is my usual with either Gyro or Chicken. What you didn’t know is that I found the Spectrum location with a colleague of mine and when I stopped in for a catch up luncheon I was able to to get in and out full and for less than 300 calories and $ 7.00. In Irvine. California. This time around I went meatless and opted for the House Salad. Wonderfully fresh and crunchy romaine leaves are mixed with sweet and red butter lettuce, tomato, cucumber and red onion and then the ingredients are all tossed in a House vinaigrette then plated and presented. The tang of the vinaigrette gives a light yet interesting flavor profile. If you need a more substantial salad, you have plenty of addition options from Falafel to Mahi Mahi. Fresh, fast and healthy. Luna Grill gets this Unilocalers 4 stars again with the greatest of ease.

It’s all about that rice, oh and hummus! I love this place. The food is so delicious and the serving size is huge! We came here for family dinner night, it’s amazing how our lives get so busy. Anyway, they totally remodeled their outdoor seating because before they didn’t have any & now they do. I got the chicken plate and it comes with rice, salad, pita bread and chicken! I love the dressing they put on their salad, it’s light and refreshing. Since, I love carbs, the rice pilaf here is amazing! It’s so soft! Oh make sure to get their pomegranate lemonade, so good! The staff is friendly and give good recommendations. The ambiance of the restaurant is casual but pretty classy to have family dinners. It’s in a good location because once you’re done eating the amazing Mediterranean food, there are dessert options surrounding the restaurant. Granted, the restaurant has dessert too, which looks just as amazing.

I LOVE Luna Grill and their quality food! I love that they support locally harvested produce, sustainable farming, and local businesses whenever possible. Their livestock is raised in a humane way and never fed animal byproducts. No added growth hormones, preservative free… etc etc. They also carry vegetarian and vegan options. There’s not many middle eastern restaurants(actually I can’t think of any) who have such great values and quality food. Kudos to you! If there’s one item on the menu I would recommend it’s the cornish hen… it’s divine!!! It’s marinated to perfection… one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Like other reviewers have mentioned, their salads are all great and the salad dressing is super tasty! Their prices are reasonable at around $ 10 per plate. The location can be missed and they have solar shades covering the restaurant(we almost missed it) but it’s located near the Improv at the Irvine Spectrum.
