I love their kabob here. It reminds me of having backyard kabob at a Persian get together. Only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because they could do a better job picking out produce like tomatoes. How am I supposed to eat a shirazi salad with dry, not ripe tomatoes when it’s 50% of the recipe! Still love the place!

I love house of kabob for the great quality of their food! Always tastes amazing, never fails to satisfy me but the reason I always come back and feel very welcomed is because of Sarah! She’s AMAZING, great customer service, very kind & energetic, love her!

The beef Shish Kabob was so good! Meat was tender and well seasoned. And the onions were grilled to perfection. The rice is nice and moist too. The whole plate was very satisfying. We also got the hummus appetizer. It looked and tasted like it was freshly made(sorry, I forgot to take a picture). The lavish bread was interesting. Very thin and not much flavor on its own. Now service here isn’t the greatest but we came at 12 and it go busy, fast! And the food doesn’t come out right away, so you need to be patient. It even took our hummus about 10 – 15 minutes. And our main dishes probably another 15 – 20. The restaurant is also very small and therefore cramped, but no one seemed to have minded. Definitely will come back here to try their other items.

If anyone truly loves Persian food or is totally a foodie they would swear that House of kabob is the best Persian food in the country. It’s the only place except home you can find stews as good as your grandmas. The restaurant is small clean and super cozy. Lovely people and it’s our second kitchen. I also like to ad that I’m the toughest critic when it comes to food. I’ve had almost every dish and none of them where even a 9. 10+.

They know me by name here. I’ve eaten at House of Kabob at least two or three hundred(yes, hundred!) times. I partially blame my half-Iranian ethnicity, and the rest on how fantastic the food is. It’s certainly not cheap, but what I order usually costs about $ 20 and last for 2 meals. My favorite dish is chicken soltani with beef koobideh. It’s basically marinated chicken breast served with ground beef on a bed of basmati rice. You just can’t beat it. I’ve had Persian food in about 7 different states and even in other countries; House of Kabob serves the BEST Persian food that I have ever had.

This a quaint little restaurant. It was surprisingly packed on a late Sunday afternoon. The restaurant seemed to be a bit understaffed. A number of staff members in the kitchen but only two main servers in the front. Servers both served sit in customers and take out customers. Food was mediocre, nothing particularly memorable. For me, the best thing was the basmati rice, which is u fortunate. I had higher expectations for the entrées. There were only 4 – 5 small pieces of chicken in the stew. The beef barg was slightly bland. I had to add my own seasoning to bring it up to par. Servers seemed overwhelmed. There are not that many tables in the restaurant to begin with. When we first walked into the restaurant, half of the tables were not clean. There were tables with dirty dishes. Servers were busy tending to customers, too busy to clean off the tables. Kitchen staff had to come out and bus the tables to make space for new customers. Customers who were seated repeatedly flagged servers down for things, such as placing their order or more of this and that. It was quite a disappointing experience as far as customer service. Food was good, nothing exceptional-nothing I would put up with subpar customer service for.

Came here with my group from school to explore the Persian culture, we were recommended to this place and it was a nice experience. Because there weren’t really busy, our server was really nice to explain the different things on the menu. She took her time and answered all of our questions about the food and culture itself. She was quick to give us refills, check on us and keep informing us more about the food. We all forgot what we specifically ordered but I had the lamb stew, my friend had the classic beef koubideh and my other friend ordered another stew, can’t remember but it looked like chili and had a piece of hard rice with it. It’s quiet in the early afternoon but towards night it’s definitely busy. My friend mentioned that the beef here lacked flavor than the one at Caspian. It’s close to my house and on my way home from school so I will come again! Plus the prices are pretty great. 4 stars for the food and service, I would put 5 but maybe I’ll update it when I order a better plate.

I wanted a Persian food fix for lunch by my office and House of Kabob looked good on Unilocal.I am glad that I stopped by. I ordered the lunch version of the chicken koobideh(ground chicken) for $ 7.99. I upgraded the rice to albalo polo which is basmati rice with black cherries for $ 1.99. Well worth the extra bucks. The chicken koobideh was moist, tender and very flavorful. They do a good job with their koobideh. The albalo rice was generously portioned, moist, fluffy, with plenty of the tart/sweet stewed black cherries. It was delicious. Overall, the food was delicious. The service here was very good and attentive. The location is unassuming in a small strip mall in Irvine. There is limited seating as well.
