After getting about 4 different quotes from local epoxy flooring companies in OC, I chose Best Custom Coatings at
. Costs ranged from $ 1,000 to $ 1,500 for my one car garage, and they had the lowest quote. I spoke with all of the companies and Mike gave me the clearest rundown of what a real epoxy floor treatment is comprised of: surface prep — grinding the floor with diamond grinders (not all companies do this, they might etch it instead with a light acid), applying the epoxy base coat and color chips on day 1, and applying the clear Urethane coating on Day 2. He mentioned that the key is preparation and then using pure ingredients. Many of the Urethane top coat material available at home improvement stores is mixed with additives that keep costs down, but you must use 100% Urethane, which is denser and heavier than its cheaper counterparts.
He offered to come out and show me samples and bid the job in detail even though he gave me a quote over the phone, and returned all of my calls left after hours and on Sundays. I had just planned to leave a message and I found myself speaking with the owner on a Sunday night. We scheduled the job, the installers were on time on both days and the bill came out exactly as quoted, $ 1,000 even. The floor came out awesome and looks like it is still wet. My wife urged me to call the owner and let him know how pleased we are with the finished product, and she is not easily impressed with such things. They had the best price, the employees had high regard for the owners (I asked), all the cracks in the slab were filled before epoxy went down, and the floor has a really nice high-​gloss finish. They came through for sure. Highly recommended.

These guys are awesome. I used them around 10 years prior and was very happy. What’s most important is that the product they used 10 years ago had some issues and without question or hesitation they honored any and all repairs even offering to completely redo the garage coating. Fast forward to this past weekend I moved into a new house and was looking to have my garage floor coated. I happen to do a quick Google search for best custom garages floors and not only were they still in business but it was the same owner and I remembered him and he remembered me. I didn’t even need to shop around knowing it was the same owner. I told him since it was him I didn’t need any per-​inspection to to just schedule the appointment to have it done. He was able to squeeze me in on a Sunday non the less and his guys did an AMAZING job. It looks so awesome even better than when they did it years ago. If you need your garage floor coated use them and don’t think twice. They are very fair and most importantly honor their work and will be there years from now!!!

I found Best Custom Coatings through a regular search on Google for a company that could apply an epoxy coating on my garage floor the professional way, and boy did I luck out!
Mike, who I think is the owner, was very quick to respond to my inquiries. I told him that I needed my garage epoxied with flakes within just a couple of days ahead of me moving into my new home. He was able to meet me in person at the house that same day, and to begin the work the next morning, all in time for my move. They do the coating the «right» way and did a great job pre-​treating the cement for the epoxy. He also gave me a great deal compared to the other vendors. He was very flexible with my demands (larger flakes: no problem /​borrowing keys to the house: no problem /​project needs to be completed in 3 days: no problem) which was great.
My only complaint is that he made my garage floor SO good that now I need to fix up the rest of the garage to equal the floor’s beauty… a good problem to have!
Overall, working with him was a great experience and he comes highly recommended.
